Juniper House

We stayed 3 nights to visit Petra. Very nice people and good rooms. We had good dinner and also got breakfast and lunch packages for the day. We really liked it!

The host, Zaid, is super nice, very welcoming and able to let you feel home.
Very good quality of the apartment, much higher than the Jordan average, and very close to the entrance of Petra site (only 8mins walking) and to city center.
Also the overall service is high, with a "lunch box " available at a reasonable price to bring with during the visit to the Petra site.
The breakfast (included in the price) is brought directly in the room the night before, so if you want to organize a very early visit to the heritage site, you don't miss breakfast!

Stayed here with my parents (both in their 70s). Had a 3 bedroom apartment which had a nice sized living/dining area, kitchen, 2 bathrooms (1 with shower and bath), and a balcony. It was well decorated and clean.
The kitchen had little in the way of cooking utensils but, this was no problem for us. Breakfast was delivered to the room each evening, and perishable items could be stored in the fridge until needed. This system worked well for us as it allowed for early starts (beating the crowds to Petra). The combination of breads, yoghurt, jam, honey, cold meat, cheese, hummus, water, tea, coffee, fruit, etc. Was plenty for us to have at breakfast and still enough left for lunch.
The bathrooms were sufficient for our needs — the shower was excellent. However, the bath was very slow to drain and developed an unpleasant smell (presumably due to a blockage). We didn't inform the staff as we were leaving, and the fans hid the smell.
The location was ideal; within 3/4 mins drive of both the entrance to Petra and the centre of Wadi Musa (shops, restaurants, etc). It should be noted that the whole town is on a series of hills and to reach the apartment from either side involved steep inclines (access on foot may be difficult for those who aren't used to walking up hills).
There is a dining area on the top floor where you can eat local meals at fairly short notice.

We stayed at Zaid`s Juniper House with group of friends and our time there was and absolute dream! Zaid was very helpful and provided us with all the information about our visit to Petra (all was useful and we avoided a lot of tourist traps). The breakfast was very rich and it is brought to an apartment every evening, so you can leave to Petra whenever you want in the morning. He was very kind to us and responded very quickly to all our questions. He also arranged a dinner for us, cooked by his mother. We highly recommend to stay at his Apartments!

Experience to be repeated! Very nice owner! When we arrived they served us with tea! Very Neat Apartaments and clean! Traveling in a group and with children! Spectacular view of the city!
Exceptional breakfast! Possibility of early morning breakfast in the room for those who want to visit Petra.

Excellent hotel! It's very well located, close to the archeological site of Petra. We stayed in a three bedrooms apartment that was very clean and comfortable. It had everything we needed and more. The staff is friendly and very nice, kind and amazing! They arranged everything the best way possible for us. They offered us a lunch box for the visit days. The breakfast is very good and fresh.
If you visit Petra you should definitely stay here.
