Usually when you hear “hostel” you don’t immediately think “safe and clean, ” so we were very impressed with this place. We stayed in a family room, and our two kids went nuts over the built in bunk beds. They loved everything about it. The beds have two plugs, a light switch, a small shelf and a towel bar. Each floor is small, so you’re always right next to the bathroom, the shower, and the washroom. I thought it would be inconvenient to share toilets and showers, but with our family of 4 it was actually more time efficient than when we stay in a hotel with one bathroom for all of us. We rarely had to wait to use the facilities, and access to the facilities on the other floors is allowed if your own is full. Rooms are accessed with a key card, while showers, toilets and washrooms use a simple flip lock. What we loved most: room layout worked well for us, the room temperature was perfect (guests don’t have control), the area is really really quiet at night with hardly any cars on the roads, access to main station hubs is quick and easy, the showers dry quickly and are easy to use for both tall and short people (120 cm to 180 at a guess), bathroom facilities have sensors for the sink and lights, the provided soap, shampoo and body wash all smelled good, and everything just looks really clean. The cafe downstairs has good menu options, and the free water was much appreciated.

What we didn’t like: The walls are thin, so ask for the free earplugs available at the desk, or use white noise of some type. We would gladly stay here again.

Great budget accommodations. Helpful staff. Quality washer & dryer combos. Plenty of shopping options around. Lots of restaurants nearby. Multiple close metro stations. A great hub for a Tokyo visit.

Great place, accessible location and nice stuffs. However, the air conditioning is not cooling enough and it's too stuffy to sleep. I had to open the balcony door to get some fresh air.

Great place, accessible location. However, walls are really thin but they do provide earplugs and did forewarn. Lack of pantry makes it difficult to cook/prepare own meals, and the only place to refill water is either in the sink or at level 1 at certain hours. Overall a decent place to stay at.

This place is really great! The staff is polite and courteous. The rooms are clean and comfortable. We stayed in a full bed room the first night, then a dorm bed, and finally a bunk bed single room… each room has been wonderful. We will definitely stay again!

Amenities are great! The room was clean, cozy, and comfy! Was expecting the room to be really small, but it just enough even with our luggage. Only thing that woke me up was the sudden noise from the other rooms/guests *can't be helped, so on the last night I got some earplugs from the front desk for free* (　^ω^)

We have booked a 6 night stay with Planetyze Hostel. Shiho is the lady at the front desk, she has given us an amazing warm welcome. The room is very clean and spacious enough. This goes for the bathroom and toilets too. Very happy with this find. I recommend this hostel to everyone!

Reading the reviews of other people I was afraid of the low quality of the Wi-Fi but indeed it's quite okay even we are on the 10th floor. Amenities in the toilet and the shower very nice. Very cool and informative receptionist the cafe downstairs is not bad. Nothing to complaint about.

A great accommodation with lovely and friendly staff. It’s quit easy to take train by metro station. But one thing that they have to improve is ‘Wifi’ caz it quite poor signal!

Just spent 22 days here and it is amazing place staff are wonderful and all the amenities were great would stay here again and I would highly recoment it to anyone.

I stayed at Planetyze one day on February 25 and again from March 6 to March 9. This place is great in every way. If you've stayed in a hostel before, you already have an idea of what this place is like. The rooms are small but cozy; they're also very quiet at night. There are multiple bathrooms and showers. Lockers are a plus, too (but in Japan, you likely won't need to put too much in one). Overall the place is very clean and modern, and it's one of the reasons for leaving my originally booked hostel and coming back here. For the price, I would stay here over a regular hotel any day. More importantly, for me, the staff at Planetyze make this the wonderful place it is. The fact that they all speak English, Japanese, and their individual native languages (French, Chinese, Portuguese, etc) makes this a perfect place to stay for a large range of foreigners. This is so unique to Planetyze and, in my opinion, it makes it the best place to stay if you want to make your stay in Tokyo much more satisfying and insightful. I could not have asked for a more accommodating, attentive, or friendlier staff. Korey was very knowledgeable about things to do in Tokyo, Ana helped me a little bit with talking to girls (Haha), and Naoaki was very welcoming and very helpful with exploring Tokyo, as well. Rich, in particular, has a special place in my heart. I'll get to that at the end. They are all the biggest reason I fell in love with this place. Seriously.
