I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. I can't speak for the food as I had a room only booking but the facilities were were good, the staff were friendly and knowledgeable and everything was clean.

Beautiful ryokan with in-room onsen.

This hotel was the highlight of my three week trip on Japan. I have Marriott status and was lucky to visit at a time where an upgrade was available.

What a treat the Shisui Hotel in Nara is! We went back and forth on whether to spend a night in Nara or just to a day trip. We chose one night at this beautiful luxury hotel and are so glad we did.

The hotel is a bit tired, but the staff are very helpful and friendly. They serve happy hours free sake and snack in the evening time. Breakfast is tasty 😋

Hotel is very quiet and peaceful. Staff are professional and focused on service. This hotel is very popular with older Japanese guests. Room is dated but very clean and comfortable.

Next to the JR Nara Station and very easy to access. Beautiful large room and grand view. Having a public bath on the 6th floor is a bonus.

Hotel New Wakasa was one of the most memorable highlights of my trip to Nara. The hotel is located just a two-minute walk from Nara Park with its famous deer, which makes the location truly special.

Lovely ryokan with very friendly staff conversant in English.
We had a wonderful time here, and enjoyed the private onsen (the public baths are free but you can reserve the private onsen for a fee).

We had such an incredible time at Guesthouse Naramachi — the host was so welcoming and generous. The guesthouse is in a great location and very clean and homely with all the amenities you could need.

Literally one of the cutest places I’ve stayed! I stayed for 3 days and was travelling by myself.

We very much enjoyed our stay at Shikitei.
The hotel staff were very friendly and welcoming the traditional rooms were absolutely beautiful and had the most comfortable futons.

Fantastic experience, and the staff were always friendly and helpful! We speak zero Japanese, and the staff only speaks limited English, but don't let that deter you.
