Great location, nice baths, good service, but the Wi-Fi reception from the room was almost non-existent!

Location : about 3 min walk from Hakone Yumoto Station. Very near and convenient. Decor: lobby is normal, but room is impressive. Not only the internal, but also the room entrance, everything is so Japanese and beautiful. We were given a big room probably because there were 4 of us (2adults, 2 kids). Service: very good. We were led to our room upon check in. We were served green tea and mochi. There is hot water and cold water available. The lady who served us meals also taught us how certain dishes were to be eaten. Meals: Dinner is served 6pm or 6.30pm while breakfast at 7.30am or 8am. This is OK for us as we usually eat early. The futons will be kept 30min before breakfast. There are many small dishes. But too bad I am never a fan of seafood, so about half the dishes do not appeal to me. I just gave them to my husband. I was expecting just a bowl of noodles for the kids (4 and 5 years old), but dinner portion was quite big and they had the same food as us for breakfast. As they couldn't finish, we had too much to eat. Cost: ~S$650, including booking of private onsen. Seems expensive for 1 night's stay, but it isn't really considering there were breakfast and dinner for 4 persons. Overall a great experience.

Is more traditional onsen hotel, but than imagined new net and clean, especially room to river view, night can see stars, feel very comfortable and calm, dinner with breakfast taste are good, and very close to soup this station, there is overpass and elevator connection, very convenient, staff are very senior and careful, Before the boss left, he personally sent us out and sent small gifts to the children, quite sweet.

Customer service was amazing. The onsen was awesome and there was also a public open air bath available as well. The meal was intricate and delicious. Very spacious room and comfortable. Will definitely recommend to others.

Solid hotel with very few of the weird quirks of other Japanese hotels of this type. Excellent clean rooms, Nealy 24 hour bathing (! ), And a central location steps from the station. Tattoo-friendly Onsen, and Yukata sizes up to 3L!

It is a clean, friendly onsen hotel, right near Hakone-Yumoto station. Onsens are nice. We did not go down for our appointed breakfast time (8am) the first day, because we wanted to sleep in. They called several times and then came to the room twice (! ) to get us for breakfast. Next day we sensibly told them we were skipping breakfast, and avoided that ridiculousness.

But Japanese can't be. The best Japanese experience in a hotel with quality service.

This weather is Maple leaf red a variety of different colors are beautiful just the weather is very hazy outside to see is not too bad place.

It is convenient to get to, even with cumbersome luggage. It is just 1-2 mins walk from the ground level of Hakone-Yumoto station. It is a comfortable traditional accommodation with great service.

What a wonderfull places to stay. Has a very beautifull scenary behind the room. Provides you with breakfast and dinner an authentic and tasty japanesse food. Remember to bring your own bath tools when you go here since its provide limited tools. A very good ryokan to stay. It also offer you with public and private bath. What a wonderfull experience to be here. The futon is great!

Expensive but worth it. We had a private outdoor onsen overlooking a river. Great location right next to the station. Food was fantastic, kaiseki style dinner and large Japanese style breakfast.

We really enjoyed our stay at Hakone Suimeisou. It was a hit of a splurge for my husband and I, but very worth it. The hotel is Japanese style, and is beautifully done. The elegance is in the details: sliding doors, wooden bath tap covers, and individualized dining rooms. We were also pleased with the modern conveniences such as ample electric outlets, quality shades and good climate control. We stayed in the Western style room with rotemburo and were very pleased. I recommend you book the dinner and breakfast options : they are high quality and worthwhile (but not for picky eaters).

Most of the staff of the Department of the Elderly, service attitude is not good, like nothing to do, the evening cold weather, want to have a more, he only said no no, I asked him what you can help me, he actually said nothing, really a good compensations. The room price is not flat, the noise is too bad, many insects, will not come later. Japan is a big man, the important department of a kind of age, want him to do is a few difficult.

Check in was very easy. They speak English quite well. The staff are a bit older, but the town's working population is older in general. The baths are nice and I opted for the private open air bath but I used the public indoor bath also. Both were great. If you're fine with other naked guest then the public bath is fine. If not, you can opt to reserve the private bath if you can't get the private in room. The only off thing that occurred was during dinner — I did not see any bowls for the rice provided, and so I used a different bowl to hold the rice. When staff member saw that, she immediately stated that there was a bowl specifically for rice and that the other bowls are NOT to be used for rice. It made me feel bad since I knew there were bowls for rice. But without guidance how could I know where they were? If you are unsure of how to go about the meals they provide, you should ask.

Not a place to arrive late or sleep in. Dinner served at 6/6.30pm and breakfast at 7.30/8am with no flexibility. Must be up a half hour beforehand for preparations. The private spa bath setting is nice and room was fine enough as it overlooks the river, but food was average.

Lovely ryokan, awesome food, impeccable service, private onsen experience was fun.

Convenient location to the train station. Private onsen get booked quickly. Rooms are pretty decent and the service is great.

Way too expensive for a cold shower, slow internet and arrogant staff. Officially my first bad experience in Japan.
