We visited Arima Onsen for a special family trip with our child who uses a wheelchair, and we had been looking forward to enjoying the hot springs together.
Hotel was very luxurious and lovely.
Amazing views and nice baths. Lovely garden.
We travelled as a group of 8.
The room is one of the best rooms I've ever stayed in. A perfect blend of tradition and modernity, outfitted with luxurious amenities and gorgeous architecture.

I had a fantastic stay at Okuno Hosomichi! Unfortunately, we faced an issue with Agoda, which seemed to scam us by sending our booking as a different room type than what we reserved.
One of the best kaiseki dinners I’ve had in japan amongst all the ryokans I’ve been to. Lobster was the freshest I’ve eaten. Rooms are pretty standard for the price.

Some staff is very fluent in English.
Snacks and tea are provided while waiting for your room.
4 free waters and beers provided for the room.
Attentive almost to a point of excess.
This was my first ryokan experience, on my second trip to Japan. I stayed for one night in one of the maisonette-style rooms and loved taking the little automated walkway up and down to my room.

It was a nice stay at this hotel, the rooms were a good size and there was an onsen inside with multiple types of baths.
The hotel has a dining area as well as a gift shop on the first floor.
Its great onsen quality pays back for your hard journey to get there. The rate is fair in that neighborhood (No need to stay overnight). Service is superb.

Super convenient location — only about 50 meters from the bus stop. I visited in December and chose the private onsen since I couldn’t stay overnight, and it was perfect.
Stayed two nights with my elderly parents. Location was perfect — just 1–2 min walk from the bus station, which was a big relief on a rainy day.

Peaceful. Stayed here for one night to celebrate my birthday. It was an amazing experience bathing in the iron rich water that is caramel brown. My sore muscles felt invigorated.
Among hot springs, I like Kinsen, and I love Arima Onsen.
This time I went to a hot spring inn that had a bath in the room.
It is the absolute best ryokan we have ever stayed and Rm 201 is probably the best room this boutique has to offer out of a total of 6 rooms (reading from the signage).

My first impression even before checking in was that the staff offered great service.
Love, love Kinzan ryokan. I just stayed there with my family in a renovated suite with semi open air bath. The room, the service and the food were impeccable.

An antique onsen ryokan in the area with very nice service.
We booked room with 2 meals (dinner & breakfast).
Had a really nice stay at Arima Gyoen, the dinner and breakfast are very traditional Japanese taste so I can understand why some people didn't like it, for me 80% of the food were very nice and well
Stayed one night in one of their traditional Japanese rooms with dinner and breakfast.

Hotel is impressive in terms of service. They are very careful and detailed to take note and accommodate to dietary request of guests.
We booked the Japanese superior room with open air bath and was delightfully surprised that the rooms were much newer and nicer in person compared to the photos.
Nice onsen suite for celebration and honeymoon; polite sincere staffs w limited english level; we stayed for two nights; had a private onsen the tub has its own timer to run and it’s “kin no yu” hot
We had visited Arima many times, having lived in Rock Island for 2 years in the 90s. Arima was on our visit list for a weekend driving trip. We had never stayed there.
Excellent hotel ryokan built and with interior from the late 90's/ early 00's.
The hotel has great private baths (note that they are only hot water, not mineral water) and shared mineral water pools.
Arima onsen gekkoen was definitely worth visiting, you can request for the shuttle transportation to and from the main bus station. The hotel is relatively old.

Very close to a few of the hot springs, friendly staff and very nice rooms. The breakfast was an additional charge, it was very tasty!
It felt like it had been newly renovated, so it was very clean and comfortable.

We stayed at Motoyu Ryuusenkaku and had a truly wonderful experience. The view was beautiful and the onsen was absolutely amazing — it gave us such a refreshing and relaxing feeling.
The room was big, and had a beautiful view of the mountains with autumn foliage beginning to show. The lobby is quite nice, with a little gift shop.
Very very good with kids. From playing areas to diaper changing and toys for the onsen they thought of everything. They also offer free shuttle service down and up from town.

I would like to specially thank Kamenoi Hotel Shuttle Service Driver who helped us at 3pm at Arima Taikobashi bus stop. We arrive at Arima and needed help to contact our hotel.
Staff is polite and accommodating. Room was clean and nice. One caution is that there is no shower in the room (maybe depends on room).

Had a great experience staying overnight. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful. The private bath and the room was pretty nice overall. Highly recommend!
Location is right next to the cute little train stop. Even though this hotel has a no tattoos policy they were lenient with us since we had already booked a few nights.
Compared to the more expensive hotels at Arima Onsen, this hotel is value for money. It provides private room Kaiseki dinner and outdoor bath attached to the room.
It’s a nice onzen hotel, which is located close to the onzen old street. Walking distance to the town center, but also quite. Next to 溫泉寺.
Room is big and spacious, tatami style room with big storage space near the door.
The downside is: the shower in room got no hot water (so we had to bath at the onsen) and the room is kind of dusty.

Friendly people, relaxing room, beautiful views, picturesque surroundings, and delicious food… Life's Good :-) 🙏🏻👌🏻
Kaiseki dinner was slightly below expectations in terms of taste, but on point for
Valuable experience. The hotel is relatively cheap when comparing to other hotel. Location is ok but need to walk up a steep slope.
The dinner is amazing but the breakfast is a bit disappointing since the dinner is way better. But the room is not good the room is very old but it's very clean.

I stayed for 1 night and opted in for breakfast + dinner. Everything about the stay was positive. The hotel sent a message via booking.
We stayed in an ensuite which had its own onsen. The service from the staff there was impeccable. The whole vibe of the hotel was of serenity and calm.
A very different experience. In this hotel, we got to experience a more authentic Japanese accommodation and stay. With meals included, we had the whole package.
The hotel's interior and check-in process were old-fashioned, which was nostalgic and nice. There were too many foreign staff members, so it didn't feel like we stayed in Japan.
