Hotels in Nagano with a Pool

We just got back from a 1 week stay here with my 7 year old daughter and all she could talk about on the flight home was how much she wanted to go back.

Really enjoyable and comfortable stay here. Lisa and the team are exceptionally friendly and inviting.

Great facilities, nice room and good services from front desk staff.
Restaurant serves excellent breakfast buffet, provides noodle from 9:30 pm to 11 pm. Hot spring bath facilities are great.

Best hotel we stayed at during trip to Japan. Honestly the best hotel experience I’ve ever had. If you have tattoos, ask for tattoo covers from the front desk. The whole hotel was sparkling clean.

AQA Hotel Premium has been my go-to lodging nowadays when I intend to visit Karuizawa, explore along the shinkansen line between Nagano and Takasaki or do a road trip.

Two wonderful nights at this perfect hotel.
Right next to the train station, and free parking if you are with a car.
Great breakfast and amenities, including the onsen on the 8th floor.

Had a great overnight stay here in a Japanese style room with tatami mats.
First though, this is a hotel rather than a ryoken, and presents as a hotel.

We had the most incredible stay here! The service was top notch and warm, the hotel — from the gardens to the onsens to the rooms — are stunning and the food was also incredible.

We stayed here from February 2 to February 6 and had a very pleasant experience. The room was spacious and comfortably accommodated four people.

The best hotel in Hakuba, and one of my favorite onsens.
The outdoor onsen has a beautiful view of the mountains.

We had an amazing 5days family stay: the room was spacious for three, the food in both restaurants excellent. Being straight in the slope, with a walk-through ski-room is very convenient.

Great hotel, delicious food, professional and very helpful stuff, great facilities (onsen, pool, sauna, cold bath) and TOP location — ski in/out.

Stayed here for three nights with my family of three kids. The rooms are sizeable and comfortable.

Hakuba Mountainside is an amazing property and very near amenities (and the foot of a gondola during the Season).

We had a wonderful stay at Mountainside. The concierge team was so helpful with all our requests and the shuttle was great to get to restaurants and the different resorts.

Just ended my 6-day stay in Kawamotoya. The staff, the shuttle, the onsen (hot spring), and the room—all come together perfectly. Hope to came back here again soon. 🫶🏼

On the upside, Our bedroom was large and spacious and the facilities were good (coffee machine, kettle, microwave, etc). There was a washer and dryer on the lower floor which we could use.

Incrediy warm and attentive staffs with thoughtful service. Cozy and relaxing environment and room. Breakfast and dinner were served delicated and delicious. Onsen is good without doubt!

The most perfect ryokan experience imaginable. The staff are incredibly kind and friendly, always greeting us with a smile. The Kaiseki meals were equally impressive—every dish was a delight.

Family of 5 travelled together and Hotel Cypress was a good place to refresh ourselves with a big room for 3pax, onsen public bath, and amazing breakfast.
The staff are pretty efficient.

Rooms are very big for Japanese standards. Separate kitchen/bar area, living room able to fit 2 sofa beds, and a well sized bedroom.
Currently 2026 Feb, rooftop renovations.

I only stayed one night as part of a tour. We arrived in the early evening and left soon after breakfast. The room was clean and overlooked a carpark.

Room was very spacious, with a great view of the lake. It’s located very near the lake and the castle. Slight far from the train station but it’s a 5mins taxi ride away only.

Love love love this ryokan. Its a family run biz by a guy and his mom whose in her 80s! Really cutesy petite lady but warm.
Lovely and friendly throughout our entire stay.

Absolutely amazing time here, the owners are super nice and friendly, and the services were amazing! My shoes got absolutely soaked and they dried it for me over night.

Great ski in/out and phenomenal attention from the staff.

Excellently located hotel for skiiers/snowboarders — definitely a ski in/ski out hotel (which made it slightly pricier).

Best place to stay, awesome facilities, spacious modern set up, I stayed for 3 weeks as a base for exploring the various ski resorts.

This is the best guest house I have ever been to 👍
It is clean, modern and could feel the warmth from the owners.
You could have your own kind of vocation in SAPMI 🩵⛄️🍓

We had 4 great nights staying at the Nozawa Grand Hotel. The rooms are huge, the hotel is clean and the service is amazing. We had breakfast and dinner included in the package.

We stayed here in Jan 2024 and Jan 2026. The staff always provide excellent service, and the breakfast/dinner were delicious.

Two people used the room on Saturday and Sunday, which was not a consecutive holiday, and the room was in the east building.
The room was very clean and spacious enough for two people.

I used it on my way back from Togakushi Shrine.
The room was clean, and the pillows at this route inn weren't hard, so I slept well. It was also great that the public bath was a hot spring!

Had a wonderful stay here. Very hospitable host, clean and neat place. Able to also do some simple cooking as cooking utensils were all very clean and basic seasoning were all available.

Very nice and comfortable house. There are everything you need in the house. Mr. Kudo, owner is so kind and take care of us very excellent. Also very reasonable price.

Newly built villa in Karuizawa. Amazing location with great view. Panoramic windows are different story. Sauna, hot pool in winter season is very relaxing.

Beautiful place, hot tub in the snow is perfect. All you need from amenities are there. Plenty of room for at least 5 people.

A beautiful family run onsen hotel. I was hesitating at first between a more contemporary styled hotel and this traditional one, but I was very happy with our final decision.

We only stayed one night but the hotel left a deep impression. It’s one of the most charming accommodations I’ve ever stayed in. The family-run feel is very strong.
