Matsue Hotels

There are two buildings: the annex and main building. They were remodeling the main building but we still had a good view of the lake. Check in was easy and quick. There was someone directing parking.

I lived in Matsue for four years and was aware of this hotel but I’ve never stayed here before. The staff was very kind and helpful despite our lack of Japanese.

We stayed in this hotel for 2 nights. Our room was spacious with two large single beds and a good sized bathroom (however we saw into other rooms which looked quite a lot smaller).

Another typical Japanese inexpensive modern business hotel. Located right in front of Matsue Station, it had everything I needed for a couple of nights' stay in Matsue, plus day trips.

Stayed in the Cloud room with a private onsen in the balcony facing an awesome view of the lake. Room was clean and spacious with a generous supply of amenities.

We've stayed here a number of times and this is a fantastic ryokan with rooms that have great views of Lake Shinjiko and fantastic meals.

Really nice hotel and stay. Service was top tier. The bath and rooms were great. The cultural and music presentation was really nice and my family really enjoyed our stay.

This a large hotel in a traditional style. It has hot spring communal baths and the rooms are traditional Japanese style with mattresses on the floor rather than beds.

Unfortunately I had to leave early due medical reasons. I arrived with my mother and we received a great welcoming. The rooms are big, quiet and we booked great ocean view.

Nice onsen ryokan with good quality of hot spring. Get a cooled tea after an onsen bath at their stylish tea bar. Staff are very friendly and well trained.

The reception of this hotel is amazing. After arriving at the hotel from the shuttle bus, someone guided me to the place where the snacks were prepared and sat down.

Fantastic location, comfortable beds and very cute cats — what more could you want from a guesthouse? The lady who runs it is also very friendly and informative.

I had some troubles renting a motorbike and making Phone Calls. But the Host helped me with everything with her sunny mood!

We stayed at this lovely onsen from 17th-23rd February while we explored Shimane prefecture.

Good place to stay. Dinner is really tasty. Its location is at start point of commercial street, so is good to walk around whole street then come back.

We stayed three nights in a Japanese room with breakfast and dinner included.
There were only two negatives to our stay: it was hard to get the room to be a comfortable temperature.

We stayed 3 nights and had the breakfast and dinner package. Room was clean and spacious and had a good view of the river. The public bath had an indoor and outdoor section with views too.

Was an automated check-in here which went smoothly.
Single USB by the bed, which is handy.
Room was fine, the only issue is there's no way to dim the lights to get that cosy feel.

This Japanese-style inn, located on the shores of Lake Shinji, boasts excellent cuisine and offers both lake-view and Matsue city-facing rooms.

The facilities are super clean and the house offers everything you need. The owner Mr. Nambe is super friendly and speaks very good English. He provided us with a lot of information about the area.

The owner, Mr. Namba, is very friendly and open. He can speak English very well and has many good recommendations for things to do around town, how long it takes to get there and prices.

Spent a wonderful night in Cocoreto.
Pleasant environment with gorgeous interior.
Owner is so friendly and helpful.
Try stargazing if the sky is clear.
One of the best travelling experiences.

A couple friends and I stayed here for two nights while exploring Tottori and Shimane.
