On December 27, 2014, my family of five from Hong Kong arrived late with our SUV at the hotel and the English speaking manager quickly arranged to serve us a full Japanese dinner. Then he invited us to watch the hotel's Saturday performance at 9.00 pm at the Hotel lobby. The lively folklore dance between good and evil with heavy Japanese percussion beats was most entertaining (I cut a video), and to my great surprise, the protagonist of the cast, when unmasked, was actually the hotel manager!

Rather older but very nice authentic ryokan style with impeccable service. Highly recommend for a true experience but at very reasonable price.
