Volterra hotels with breakfast

This off-the-beaten-path hotel is filled with nostalgic European charm. We wouldn’t recommend walking up to town, the road is too narrow. Better to drive.

I visited hotel Villa Rioddi in October of 2024. I stayed on my own for one week and it was an absolute dream. The staff were so hospitable and felt almost like family.

Marcampo has the best farm lands views of Tuscany. Excellent wines, Warm service.

We had dinner 2 times at this place. We were warmly greeted with coccole that the old man (owner) asked the kitchen to made special for us and he gave us for free. Extremely friendly staff.

Overall a fantastic stay! Only the road is a bit of a challenge (very bad, many holes, no concrete). Apart from that I can strongly recommend a longer stay here!

The hotel itself is very old fashioned and I get that from other reviews, but it isn't so bad as other reviews make it out to be. Rooms are clean and we slept well.

I stayed here a long time ago in 2007 and it looks like the prices have barely increased! It was fantastic! The rooms are very basic but do the job, it’s clean.

Lovely b&b. Elisa is super friendly and provides a delicious — home made — breakfast. The room was beautiful and the bath tub is great for a romantic time.

We had a great 4 night stay here and used it as our base to explore Tuscany. The eggs for breakfast were my husbands favourite and the views are stunning.

We really enjoyed our stay here. This is a working farm. There are working dogs and there are signs about that. But it was a quiet and restful stay.

We stayed here for three nights.
