Hotels in Volterra with a Pool

This off-the-beaten-path hotel is filled with nostalgic European charm. We wouldn’t recommend walking up to town, the road is too narrow. Better to drive.

I visited hotel Villa Rioddi in October of 2024. I stayed on my own for one week and it was an absolute dream. The staff were so hospitable and felt almost like family.

I’d like to share my overall experience staying at Agriturismo Biologico Diacceroni, especially for anyone considering it as their next getaway.

Our stay was beyond wonderful! From the moment we were greeted at the property and were given a tour of it to all the experiences to our departure time!

We had a very pleasant stay at the Pretenzano farmhouse, a truly wonderful environment. Arianna and Neda welcomed us with great enthusiasm and kindness.

The accommodation is very clean and lovingly furnished! Beds comfortable.
TV has 300 Italian channels.
Unfortunately no DE. But it helps with “switching off” (detox). But internet works very well!

We are a young couple, which spent 5 days at Villa Felice. We definitely recommend a vacation there.

Marcampo has the best farm lands views of Tuscany. Excellent wines, Warm service.
Their cooking classes and dinner is a unique Toscana experience. Thanks Claudia and Ivana!

From beginning to end, our stay at Podere Marcampo was simply amazing, everything we could have hoped for and more.

Like all things, there are pros and cons, but honestly the cons are really irrelevant.

Excellent for cyclists with road bikes because it is close to the asphalt road that leads up to Volterra. A few kilometers also from San Gimignano. A true paradise.

Last August, I stayed at this hotel with my wife. It's a beautiful hotel in the center of Volterra, in the old town, just outside the city walls.

Very well located in Volterra — a short walk to the centre, on a fairly quiet one-way street. Our room overlooked the pool, and it was very peaceful at night.

Beautiful, peaceful and quiet. If you want to get away from the crowds in the big cities like Milan, Florence or Rome this is the place to be.

The hotel itself is very old fashioned and I get that from other reviews, but it isn't so bad as other reviews make it out to be. Rooms are clean and we slept well.

I stayed here a long time ago in 2007 and it looks like the prices have barely increased! It was fantastic! The rooms are very basic but do the job, it’s clean.

Overall a fantastic stay! Only the road is a bit of a challenge (very bad, many holes, no concrete). Apart from that I can strongly recommend a longer stay here!
