Welcoming and extremely clean rooms. Great.

Very cosy rooms, great food and friendly staff… all surrounded by a lovely garden!

Unique hotel in the deepest Tuscany, at the foot of Volterra. Own restaurant and bar. The soul of the facility is Irma, a multilingual woman.

Typical Tuscan. Few frills and so much substance. A lot of attention to the meat and products of the territory. Pleasant confirmation year after year. The judgment is only for the restaurant; I live an hour from there and I never needed to use it as a hotel.

Comfortable hotel. It was a very nice and friendly staff. Strategically located halfway between Volterra and Sangimignano.
Large and comfortable rooms. In a single flaw: the shower. Since it is made with a curtain, the bathroom is flooded. Place recommended anyway. Excellent restaurant with typical dishes and abundant portions. Good selection of wines.
At the side there is a small park excellently kept. Good.

Great in everything perfect as a base place to wander around and visit the little towns.

Very nice Location. Recommended for weddings. Very good restaurant kitchen. Only negative is the Wi-Fi which only takes in the lobby, not in the rooms.

Famous and historic restaurant, now also dated in the furnishings, but all in all OK… Decent kitchen…

Our 4th stay was also marked by the affectionate sea, attention and cordiality of Irma, Sandra and her colleagues. As long as it is possible for us to visit Tuscany, Molino — under the direction of Irma and Sandra — will be the first choice for us.

We had a very nice lunch here and stay.

The hotel is nice but close to the road that leads from Lajatico to Volterra quite busy. It was a very small restaurant.

Been coming to Volterra Italy for 14 years never miss my birthday dinner in all those years never will celebrate anywhere else.

What a beautiful and delicious place for lunch or dinner or lodging. We have never missed a visit here while in Italy! The food is fresh, classic and sempre en stagione. If you go, tell them the Amatos sent you.

I promise: We spent only one night with breakfast only. Then we cmq dined there, we were in a hurry and were very fast. Cheap, clean, informal, very good the first ones we took to dinner, all very courteous and hospitable. The décor is perhaps a little dated but it goes on the second floor compared to the air that you breathe. It was just what we were looking for. Fully satisfied.

Dinner with a starter, a first and a second followed by a dessert. All very good and plentiful, the boar a little too fat. Fair price.

Beautiful location on the road leading to Volterra ample parking with fuel service.
The structure is immersed in a beautiful park, good hotel, clean with qualified service and available, equally excellent the restaurant that delight with typical regional and national dishes.

Immersed in the Tuscan countryside, very peaceful place to spend pleasant weekends and for visiting Volterra which is a few km.

Clean and of high level. Charming hotel surrounded by greenery. Ample parking and friendly staff.

Staying here is a delight. Nice rooms, very friendly and excellent service. The restaurant serves excellent food & wine from local source. Also the hotel is conveniently situated in the center of all major sightseeing places in Toscane.

We chose the Molino d'era after reading positive reviews of other guests and we must admit that it was all true! We report for that cell phones are out of range in the entire hotel and in the garden and in the parking lot and only in some places they connect to the network but it depends on your operator so if you like getting away is the place! Large, well kept and treated in detail (original furnishings and furnishing accessories, where you notice the watchful eye of the property! ), with ample parking on 2 sides, a massive Park (in which I would recommend to create a beautiful pool) and bordering a fuel station which is always handy when travelling by car! Our room was the No. 31: oversized (triple 1 even though there were 2) with a beautiful bathroom with shower, hairdryer and courtesy kit, delicious décor, air conditioning and fan, very quiet but unfortunately the window opening on the wall of a part of the structure and was attached to the Highway so wouldn't fit a lot of air (presence of mosquito nets! ) and at night, sleeping with the window open because of the heat, we heard all the noise of cars and motorcycles passing next to us: too bad really!

We have been visiting Irma at Molino d'Era for the last10 years, in fact we have now visited four times and have recommended it to many of our friends. It is a long way from Australia, but we would not think of visiting Italy without a few days here. The restaurant is extremely good, with local food very well cooked and presented. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The best all-round place we have found in this part of Tuscany. Irma and her sisters are very obliging, and cannot do too much to help. Highy recommended!

We were there for Easter dinner. Full menu including two entrees (salmon carpaccio with artichokes and Croutons), two primi (asparagus risotto and shrimp, ravioli with tomato sauce for venison), two seconds (Lamb and cut), dessert and coffee.
With € 37 could not ask for more.
Recommended.

I stayed at the hotel on my honeymoon last year. The sisters who run the place were very attentive and helpful: best service we had in Italy. The restaurant is outstanding.
