We have been going to Il Melone for ten years and never fear returning. The rooms and the pool are great and the gardens so well manicured. It’s beautiful.

Beautiful structure located in a park surrounded by greenery between scents and tranquility.

The restaurant is excellent, independent of the property, run by staff who make you feel like family and pamper you with typical Tuscan products, accompanied by selected wines.

A nice place to make routes through Tuscany and Umbria. The rooms are spacious and clean. The air conditioning works very well. The breakfast was good. The pool bigger than you would expect in a quiet area of the garden. Recommended.

The only neo (linked more than anything to when and how the reservation is made) the rooms that do not always deserve the 4th. But even this is overcome thanks to the greenery and tranquility that surrounds you.

Amazing place. Very good hotel.

Borgo il Melone was the best decision we made. We are celebrating our 35th Wedding Anniversary and it's been perfect. Staff is top notch. The grounds are mature and impeccable. Pool is a bonus after a day of touring you can relax before dinner. The room we had was the superior room. Very spacious and the views are beautiful. We highly recommend Birgo il Melone in Cortona.

Great hotel. Very authentic, in the style of a Tuscan borgo place. There is a large private free parking. Great breakfasts with a chic view of the gardens. There is an own restaurant so don't look around where to eat.

A hotel outside the old town but quick access if you go by car. Very spacious rooms, comfortable and clean bathroom. Very good breakfast is not good the restaurant: Low quality pasta. Çaro. The hotel and its excellent services.

We stayed here because we visited a wedding in Cortona. The hotel has a great country house atmosphere. Our room was huge and very clean. The view was nice and the service staff very friendly. The breakfast was fine. Nothing out of the ordinary, but you could be well fed. The hotel grounds are really super nice and the value for money was great.

A surprise to know this place. The staff was very helpful and the room was very nice and clean. The cost was on offer was really low for breakfast included. A perfect stay!

Enclave very nice and picturesque, Hacienda that preserves the rustic style of the first of the last century very careful and clean, located at the foot of C Ortona. Breakfast was a bit small in variety though for me enough as with a coffee and a bun I will be served.

Great hotel near the town of Cortona. Beautiful and cozy rooms in the Tuscan style, located in stone houses. Large private free parking and great breakfast. An ideal place to relax and travel by car. The hotel also has an excellent restaurant, which runs up to 23 hours and has the opportunity to have a delicious dinner at a late check-in.

We stayed in the basic reformed room and commented that we were very comfortable, resort with multiple farmhouses connected by Sandy tracks (raining are rivers of mud), very close to Cortona. Very nice breakfast, along with the attention received from the head of the dining room.

Normal restaurant, good tasting of cheese of own elaboration. Product of the area and very natural.

Beautiful village, restaurant with typical dishes tasty and characteristic of the area and with fair prices, charming inn, bright rooms and spacious beds large and comfortable, bathroom very large, tastefully restored maintaining and respecting its historical heritage. I had a great night in the company of friends and family. Everything exquisite and average prices. The location is collection and elegant with a charm of the old typical Tuscan stone structures. The dishes are wanted and out of the ordinary for preparation and presentation.

Beautiful renovated village with competence immersed in the countryside of Cortona, 2 km from the centre. Beautiful nature, open swimming pool for all September, restaurant (separate management) and breakfast room (abundant varies with homemade cakes and fresh fruit) very comfortable and romantic room with fantastic Memory foam pillow, very simple bathroom but with Everything you need. Reception open until midnight with very nice staff. Wifi available throughout the village, even outdoors. Only tiny little neo of Night lighting (which has its charm) especially in one of the parking lots and at the entrance to the various dependance. Anyway beautiful stay.

Absolutely beautiful place. Fabulous staff, fabulous rooms, fabulous grounds, fabulous breakfast, fabulous Restaurant and fabulous pool! And in one of the most beautiful parts of the world!
Only 2 minor issues — 1. The walls are so thick mobile reception and Wi-Fi a bit dodgy in some areas. 2. You really need a car if staying here for any length of time.
Oh AND, be careful of the potholes if walking on the driveway! My hubby rolled and broke his ankle! The staff were exceptionally helpful and accommodating with all the difficulties that arose and they didn't even know it was their driveway that did it!

Booked a deluxe double and was shown to a dreadful pokey room with a tiny window overlooking a rubbish dump. When we said we wouldn't stay in that room, hey presto, we were shown our deluxe double. The internet isn't really free as you have to give your e mail address and agree to them using it for "marketing" purposes. Also it's rigut by the main road and very noisy and the grounds are scruffy and uncared for. Having come from the beautiful Relais Villa Belpoggio this is a crashing disappointment.

But noise of fan kept me awake.

Excellent service and staff. Great location for Cortona and not that far from Arezzo. Very nice size room. Convenient parking. Only snags were very strange internet login through social account which is avoidable but not a good idea and coverage that dropped all the time. A first world problem. But the other fault is the coffee at breakfast from a machine! In the land of coffee and with a perfect machine sitting there but turned off that is disappointing. However if that's all we have to complain about! The restaurant attached but run by a different Group was excellent. Staff, service, knowledge and helpfulness.

Location is great and staff is very nice. Good place to stay, comfortable and good value for money.

Great facilities, breakfast was scarce though and not much of a view of the surrounding area — although the view of the hotel premises is nice. The pool was great.

The place is very close to the main road is surrounded by greenery in quiet and restful. The reception staff and breakfast was always helpful and courteous. The room is very clean and warm water environments safe nn lacked indeed too hot. The riscaldamentp was running all day with a great sense of well-being. Certainly recommended and revisit Thanks to the employees of the hotel.

To not be wordy I summarize: gorgeous … even the parking for the car is at the top … and obviously the room.

At first I was a little wary, the reviews about this place are either glowing or horrid. Honestly though, the negative ones couldn't be farther from the truth. The locale is perfect, the onsite restaurant is moderately spendy, but the food is spectacular. The olive oil is grown on site and is amazing. They also sell it in beautiful glass bottles for souvenirs. The breakfast is included in the rate, and like some reviewers, does not include eggs, however it does include some of the best prosciutto I have ever had, really. I probably spent more time around the pool than was healthy, but the water was so inviting and the Wi-Fi made it so easy to just sit by the pool and soak up some sun than go back to the room to check email. I've left the best for last: the staff. The staff at Borgo Il Melone are phenomenal, the concierge was almost too friendly, always smiling. They're always happy to jump up and help, whether it's assisting planning travel or local recommendations, they're on top of it.
