It's not a 4-star anymore. The property is old and breakfast poor. We would have expected more considering the 4 stars and the fact that the hotel is located 15 min walk from the center. I don't recommend it.

The hotel is a 4-star but actually proves at most 3, the rooms should be modernized, the breakfast completely revised. The location is not bad although the shortest way to get to the center is not very nice. Most of the staff are very nice.

Decent hotel for the price. Breakfast was pretty typical & reasonably good. Room was very clean. We were not disappointed.

Residential area 10 minutes away from center. Not 4 star hotel. It is 3 star only. Next to the USA consulate. Bathroom was old and must be renovated. Room was also old and must be renovated. Florence is nice. Nightlife is quiet, I heard some voices during nighttime might be incidentally. Breakfast is a imitation of real breakfast. Just go to the nearest supermarket and buy what you need. Air conditioner is good but Wi-Fi is slow. TV — only Italian channels. Only one key. Employees were polite and helpful but not everyone. Bar with alcohol next to reception excellent customer service and kind people. Night shift people were kind and helpful. Nice and polite and beautiful girl served free whisky for me, excellent drink and service in bar. They must rebuild this hotel. I discovered specific area in this residential district.

Good location and great room water room tiny daily housekeeping very irregular in its quality. Did 4 nights quiet and comfortable the DPJ is a disaster the room of the DPJ is in basement without daylight and tiny the waitress is unsympathetic and does not smile and barely speaks English the fruit juices come from a dispenser and are based d e powder the bread is mediocre nothing fresh fruit canned pie canned jams medium we asked for a DPJ at 4H in the morning for an early breakfast everything was iced (mm the ham sandwich prepares for us) welcome just from Palace there is only the name recommend Hotel Kraft just in front 4 stars also with DPJ in terrace door bins to the rooms.

The locations it’s not that bad, near the canal and a few restaurants, the breakfast it is ok, the rooms are pretty old but clean, the bathroom small but functional.

Very dated. Desperately needs to be renovated. Every bathroom wall covered in mold. Leaks damage everywhere. Falling off paint, smudges, chips etc all over. Dust all over. When I pointed out a booking discrepancy, I was ridiculed and told to show the papers. After I did, the hotel staff blamed the travel agency. The AC worked well. The breakfast was ok. Wi-Fi worked well too. Very nice and quiet area very close to the Arno River. On the downside, a bit of a walk to The center and a lot of mosquitoes.

I do not know how it has the 4 stars, the walls of the room dirty and ruined, structure dated, I could not have breakfast because they did not coincide with the schedules, when in other hotels, always in Florence, they went out of their way to make me have breakfast. In addition approximate cleaning, I took a shower and the next day they did not change the bathroom accessories, so according to them, the next day I had to use only the soap, which was the only thing left, I reported that the shower pipe leaked water, but not They did nothing. One of the worst hotels I have used on Florence.

We make the reservation online directly with the hotel. In the confirmation of the specific reservation that the payment of the room is made directly in the hotel and it was not so, they charged the next day of the card.
The room needs a renovation. It doesn't deserve the four stars. The shower tray jammed, I couldn't shower.
And to top it off in the conditions does not indicate that you have to pay the city tax, if that are all taxes included. When you check out we inform you that it remains to pay that tax and that amounts to almost €50 for 2 doubles, 2 nights.

The hotel snaps, is old, has smell in the hallways and breakfast also snaps. Now not by chance it can qualify as a 4 star hotel. The concierge of Barba thirty is a superb who is not interested in the experience of the tourist, behaves as if he were the son of the owner. One day I did not have hot water, went up to the room, opened the bobbin and told me that that for him was hot water and withdrew from the room without a more word. That day I bathed with hot water that came out 100% cold. I do not recommend it, I put two stars because sure there are worse places, but I do not think there are hotels with worse concierges than this.

Very bad cleaning, sinks that move, nn talk about the shower… for me it should be renovated. Sucks.

Nice place and good location. 5 minutes from the train station and 5 from the historic centre of Florence. The room is comfortable and we had a pleasant stay. Breakfast was varied but usually the drink was cold. Another thing that rested was that the Wi-Fi did not work (apparently, reading other reviews, it never worked)

Wonderful experience. The receptionist helped us a lot and speaks Spanish. The room and the breakfast was correct.

The hotel is in a great location to visit Florence on foot… a few steps from the river… in five minutes walk you get to Ponte Vecchio and ten minutes to get to the Duomo… the room has the essentials that serves… services heating Cleaning… everything OK! Wi-Fi and Sky included! The staff and friendly and very helpful… they give you advice also on where to go! Finally you have the opportunity to leave the car in their parking for 25 euros… I suggest you leave it elsewhere because they make fines and removals!

My single room in de rose hotel was really nice for me as a traveller. This hotel was one of the best things I chose in Florence. As far as you see the photos I took, the breakfast is just awesome. They prepared different options every single day. Plus, there was a real natural honeycomb! And the bathroom has a heat machine inside, so not cold after a shower. And you can use a coffee machine in your room. They also provided a nice room service and laundry service as well. The location of this hotel was good for me, it was not placed in the center of city, but near to the river. You can jog and take a walk along with the river. I think it is good for people because you can sleep quietly (personally, I hate a loud place for hotel. ) However, this hotel is pretty old and very antique. If you prefer a new fancy hotel, you might not like here a lot. Anyway, if I have a chance to visit Florence again, I will pick this again without a doubt.

It was a wonderful stay, starting from the room (well furnished and spotless) passing for breakfast (with wide choice and quality), up to the kindness and helpfulness of the staff. Walking distance from the station and the old town. I will definitely return!

I won't give it just 1 star because the staff was friendly but everything else about the place was awful. The worst was the bathroom, shower was disgusting with mold everywhere, Beds were uncomfortable, the room was tinny. Overall not worth a stay and absolutely not a 4 star hotel as described on priceline and other sites.

Clean, friendly, affordable for the city, and a great location. We enjoyed this place very much.

Warning: do not stay here. When we arrived the lobby was very outdated but quaint, not that alarming. Staff was very nice. On the walk up to our room, we started to doubt the quality of this hotel. We booked the hotel for 3 nights off of Priceline's name your price and requested a 4 star hotel so we were expecting a certain level of quality. In the hallway there was toilet paper and half drunk water bottles on side tables lining the walls. We entered the room, the bed was fine but the throw pillows on the bed were at least 20 years old. Still, we were fine. And then we saw the bathroom. There was black mold lining every bit of the shower. The paint in the shower was peeling off. We both needed a shower, we learned it did not drain well. So there I am standing in a moldy shower, trying with ALL my might to not touch the walls, then I'm having to stand in water that's up to my ankles in mildew residue off the floor of the shower. You couldn't walk barefoot in the room because the floors were so dirty. We stayed one night here and booked a hotel elsewhere because we couldn't stay in this place another night. This is not a 4 star hotel. Spend $50 more and stay closer to everything in Florence and avoid this uncleanly stay. We were unable to get our money back because but wanted to warn others about the misleading advertisement of this place as a 4 star hotel.

Good option for a few days, but maybe not much comfortable for a long stay. Breakfast is fair. Location is a bit far, but you can get to the best places by foot if you like to walk.

Even for Europe’s standards, this was not a 4 star hotel. The hotel is in a decent neighborhood, close to the train station and a quick walk to Arno river and some historic bridges. The lobby is OK and the rooms are decent size, with free Wi-Fi, small safe, satellite TV and free breakfast downstairs, but the bathroom was in bad need of updating. The shower tiles were broken and black mold was growing on the edges. Unfortunately our huge beautiful window facing Solferino street had to be left closed most of the time because of the noise and hordes of mosquitoes.

Of 4 star doesn't have anything! bad breakfast! shower clogged! that sucks.

Decent sized room BUT moldy bathroom, old fixtures, broken shower door, cracked toilet seat and no hot water for tea at night. Next.

Breakfast room too small, decor is not suitable for a four star hotel, reception staff unhelpful, very complicated to reach the hotel.

Staff are not friendly the rooms are in bad need of repair I have no idea how this is rated 4 stars I wouldn't recommended this place at all.
