Excellent central location. 10 mins from train station, 3-5 mins from Duomo and other museums. Lovely breakfast on the 6th floor. Comfortable and firm bed. Don't book through Amoma. I paid for 1x3 occupancy room, but the hotel just gave me a King size bed since they received a request from Amoma for a standard double room. After much pleading, they gave us an extra bed which was too big for the small room. So I think that I overpaid for what I got. Hotel employees were very helpful in providing museum and tour information.

Great location. Very walkable to many sites of interest. The staff is very friendly and the rooms are quite large, especially for Europe. Love the old school charm with modern amenities.

Good insulation to the outside. Nice rooms, newly renovated. Unfortunately, the fire detector flashes with annoying red lights. Breakfast is good, especially if you are sitting outside overlooking the Duomo. Would stay again in this hotel.

I just got a coffee at the bar. What the hell do you want out of my life?!. Stop breaking my boxes!

Spacious bright rooms, clean and very comfortable beds. Bathroom equipped with a care product. Kettle with coffee and tea for free. Nice breakfast with great views. Very friendly staff at reception and also in the café.

Perfectly — located hotel with very clean and comfortable rooms. The room felt very homely and cosy, without being too small. Very central and a really great was breakfast included which was on the beautiful and sunny rooftop. Must stay here if you visit Florence!

Right in the city center of Florence. 2 minutes from the Duomo, 4 minutes from the Place de la Republique and 6 to 8 minutes from the central station.

Great Hotel. The location is great. The service is good. Products placed in bathrooms are top notch. Breakfast is served on too floor which has great views. The breakfast includes eggs, bacon, sausage and the full continental offering I. E. Cold meats, muffins jams. Staff in breakfast room are very friendly. Definitely recommend this hotel.

Nice and clean rooms in a great location, just a short walk to the Duomo (you can see it from your room if you're facing that way). The Daily breakfast is great and has a good selection. The room we were in was a good size with a clean modern bathroom, but for some reason it did get very hot most nights despite being cold outside. The heater wasn't on and we couldn't work out how to switch to the aircon. Also, the soundproofing from the outside world is fine, but between rooms isn't great. We could hear what was going on in the rooms next to us and could almost make out every word in others conversations late at night. Overall a nice stay.

Great location, pleasant staff, clean room. I had a beautiful view of the San Lorenzo dome from my room. The breakfast is great. Only complaint is that the bed was too firm for my husband and me, but that may be a preference issue.

We stayed on the 6th floor and it was pretty awesome! The breakfast service was great and staff were very friendly. The only gripe we had was water pressure in the shower being a little funky but that's to be expected with an older building. We had dinner on the rooftop terrace and it was great! Amazing view!

Great Rooms and centrally located. Very close to the train station. Took a cab there but walked to the train on the return trip. The rooms were clean and large. We had breakfast on the terrace on the top floor and the breakfast was one of the best on our trip. Had lunch in the cafe at the entrance — not so good. Many other places to eat in Florence.

We stayed at the Laurus in May 2016. We are thankful for the Laurus staff kindness, professionalism, and willingness to serve their guests. The terrace upstairs was a great place to relax after a day of sightseeing. The staff at the lounge were courteous and helped create a fun experience. The view from the terrace was gorgeous. The front desk staff helped us arrange for our luggage to be picked up and delivered at our next stop, Milano. When we received our bags at the hotel in Milano, we found items that we had left behind in our Laurus room and thought lost! We highly recommend the Laurus al Duomo. It has a great location, steps from the Duomo and other sights. The rooms are nice and super clean.

This hotel had a great location just minutes from the main train station, Santa Maria Novella, as well as short walks to the Santa Maria del Fiore Cathedal and Palazzo Vecchio. There was a reception for guests on their first night at the hotel. The staff were very cordial and the room was fantastic!

We thoroughly enjoyed this Quaint, clean, and convenient hotel. The staff was great. You will remember this as one of your favorite hotels. Evenings on the roof are priceless. Walking in from the streets you are 1st greeted by the familiar fragrances and then the voices welcoming you back. The comfortable couches and intimate rooms make you feel as though you are at home just down the road from the cathedral. We bought the fragrance that is used at the hotel and every time we use it, it is like we are back at the Laurus al Duomo. Repeat destination for sure.

Internet here has been all but impossible. Has almost ruined our trip to Florence. Communication is vital for my wife and I when we are at hotels, especially out of the country. There are many more in the same area of Florence that are better choices. The staff were not helpful when it came to the internet because they outsourced to 4Rooms Communications. I have stayed at other hotels all over Europe and so far this one hit the bottom of our list. We will not return here.

I stayed at hotel Laurus together with my girlfriend during the weekend of the Immaculate, convinced by good reviews. In fact everything is true: the location is ideal for visiting Florence on foot, those coming by train does not need to take taxi or public transport since the hotel is located just minutes from the station, my twin had no view but very stylish and clean. For climatic reasons we couldn't do breakfast on the panoramic terrace, but the view from the top floor is really great.

Very nice hotel, perfect location (1 min 30 to the Duomo), the service is perfect, the rooms very well maintained and the terrace a real more.
I highly recommend drinking a glass of wine on the terrace facing the Duomo when night fell. Insured romantic setting.

I gave your stay at Hotel Laurus for three days with my parents. They loved it. In particular they loved having breakfast with a view of the Duomo. We celebrated together my new job with a drink on the beautiful terrace.

This is definitely the best hotel in florence that I have stayed in. It's right in the center of anything and is only a few short steps away from the Duomo. The rooms are pretty big for a european hotel and it's very clean. The bathrooms are very up to date. The house keeping service is great. The only thing that I can complain about is the tv. There is only one English channel and there is no channel for any type of news station. This isn't a big deal since normally people dont come to Europe to watch tv, but I'm used to have a news channel at least.
