0 — zero stars! Do not be fooled! Terrible place! Very rude, unpleasant experience! The pics are all fake! The place is very dirty and stinks! Terrible place! The breakfast was stale cornflakes, no milk! And lots of bread. I paid for a twin bed, only to be given a single inside a dorm. The WC was disgusting! And the person running the place was very rude and made for an unpleasant experience!

Simple and old rooms not matching the pictures. Had to ask for towels and the breakfast was extremely basic. 15min walk to Colosseum and close to the train and metro station. It works but dont have high expectations.

There's a subway nearby, that's a big plus. However, it is somewhat elevated the cost, you will be charged for the use of sheets and other two taxes that make the place much more expensive. Medium Cleaning.

I'm just saying that my room has no windows, and it's in the limit of forced detention in solitary confinement.
I would also like to talk about cleanliness and hygiene but unfortunately I did not find them.

Truly awful! Bedbugs! Noisy, dirty, unfriendly absolutely not recommended. Living in the back room of a Sri Lankan family is not a real hostel.

Terrible place! The Indians who cater to you are super rude, the beds were completely dirty and with ticks that severely affected our health by making hives in our bodies. (I was with three friends). It is not true that they give you juice all day, they have bread with lama and cereal nothing else. The gentleman who slept in the rooms that takes care of them, super dirty, dared to go out in towel and without shirt. His room was a dumpster and he slept in the kitchen! We know that the price was not so expensive or so cheap, but if they are going to offer a bad service they should not lie. Dirty windows, cobwebs, Bath Percudido… and to finish it, we never got our deposit back! They're thieves! One day we left the room, he got to grab 100 euros from my friend's suitcase. In life we return to that place of bad death, unprofessional and pigs.

Don’t go there! BEDBUGS! See pictures Bedbugs everywhere. It stinks, they are not professionals at all. They change the price you were supposed to pay I was supposed to pay about 90€ and ended up paying 136€ plus a 80€ something euro deposit which haven’t been refunded. I got bedbugs bites and the manager asked me to leave because I was asking for a refund. I spent 50€ with a doctor consultation, paid about 30€ in medicine, plus I was about to be admitted to the hospital since the infection grew up to my shoulder. After talking with 3 more people someone finally retuned 21.5€ out of the 136€ that I paid! It is so unfair because that doesn’t even cover all the medical expenses now! Look at the pictures. The bedbug the was in my pillow… the other girls that stayed there were also bitten and also found the bedbugs!

This was a questionable experience.

Paper walls, all dirty and old, one of the nights without being able to stick eye because the receptionist was watching an Indian movie with the full volume until 3 or 4 in the morning. I don't recommend having breakfast better looking for a cafeteria.

The worst experience we've ever had. We arrived and at the front desk tell us that we should spend the 1st night somewhere else 4 blocks from there because our room was busy. When we got to the other place, we were told that the next night would be in our final room. The next day, upon arrival, our baggage had been removed without our permission and taken to another floor. Arriving there, we are told that we should go to another hotel within 25 minutes walking. We immediately discussed it with the owner, so we decided to leave and pay the rest of our stay in Rome at another hotel. The neighborhood where it is is very dangerous, vagrants gather in the corners and watch fixedly when one walks, threatening to rob. Finally, we found a hotel near the Trevi Fountain, which had all the amenities one would expect, for only 20 euro extras.

Don't go to this site, thank you we didn't open the door.

Great place with lowest price in Rome.

I went with my partner to spend a weekend in Rome. The place is not far from Termini station in a slum in the city of Rome. The owner of the hostel turned out to be a poorly educated and aggressive person with whom you could not even talk. The rooms are crappy, no charm and with dirty beds and stained by old customers. No doubt the worst hostel in Rome is not recommended.

The owner's deal leaves much to be desired since in my case I changed rooms without any explanation and when I asked the owner the reason he became aggressive and gave me no explanation. The place is a small apartment converted into guest house which has no charm or breathes a pleasant atmosphere if not quite the opposite. It's located in a slum in Rome. The rooms are outdated but clean except for the bedding which has even stains of old guests. Another detail of the owner was that on our first night the man started to do Skype and from our room you could hear all of which was not nice to sleep in. My recommendation would be that tried find another alternative because neither the hostel, the neighborhood and the owner are not recommended. Definitely the worst hotel in which I have stayed.

Terrible place. Dirty and C is a stink to death. We found beds and showers full of hairs. They enter the rooms and attack beds if you can call them and furniture also broken with Scotch. You hear noises and the night they cook everything without even opening the windows. The door handle of the entrance remains in your hand when you try to open. The toaster for breakfast and all full of inner crumbs. And the coffee machine has the yellow water all vomitable. The owners do scare and they stink they have everyday the same clothes… Used toilet paper and tablecloths taken from their beds… Nightmarish retirement I'm not going to miss that road anymore. And as a last thing in that kitchen they sleep about three people. I have to follow my advice.

Terrible place in frightening neighbourhood. Mold and sewer smell in rooms, and "breakfast" a total joke.

I kept visiting and pushing the chime of the entrance for 1 hour in the evening. Reservations in other hotels was made after all. I can't stay overnight, I have checked out, it is. I asked to repay it, but there are no answers. Worst hotel. Please be careful.

Turned up in the evening, and the owner refused to honour the booking we had already paid a deposit for, refused to refund the deposit, and wanted an extra €50 if we wanted to stay at all. Very crappy, avoid like the plague.

Fatal, dirty it was impossible to stay, it is charged before him and when we told her that we were not not returned us nothing, or bail. Pathetic.

Clean room and good location close to the transport. Italian breakfast in self service. Community areas not cleaned up.

It is a place too dirty; the place smelled bad, the rooms (at least the mia) had a lot of dust, the beds while they were made were dirty and even had hair, the same bathroom and what was the kitchen leaves much… wish everything was in poor condition or their status was doubtful.

Very good, access to kitchen, clean room.

Cozy accommodation. If you need a cheap accommodation in Rome downtown with good services and helpful staff, this is the place for you. We offer Wi-Fi breakfast use of common kitchen air conditioner fridge storage and cheap car service. Please reserve the private room or just bed in shared room. Thank you byeee.

Agreed on the phone with Mr Walter to reserve a room without pre-payment nor credit card (I'm Italian as the owner, so there was no possible misunderstanding), the day I was getting there I called again just to ask which time the place was open to drop the luggage. He then told the room was no more available but another one (90€ instead of the agreed 66€) was still available. He affirmed this second option had already been discussed on the first phone call. I hung up without even trying to discuss. His rudeness on the phone and cheating behavior have been very disappointing. To be avoided.

Our last stop for this winter trip is Rome n expecting it would end nicely. But its definitely not bcoz of this guesthouse. First we arrived early at 9am at this gh. Then the first thing we saw a couple is quarrel w the owner. N the owner is shirtless NOT in a good way! Plus the office door said that it will open at 9am but he just woke up. Then he ask us to put our baggage there n come back later after 12pm. Well it seems normal. But we're back again at 2pm. N guess what the room is not ready for us yet. N he even ask to pay with cash. Credit card he will not accept. N thats how this gh ruined our trip. Im a student traveling with 2 friends. Dont bother this gh for one bit.

1. The offered pick-up service, was not present. But no major disadvantage, the train was ever cheaper.
2. We have booked a 4-bed Mädlszimmer, get 8-bed rooms we, unfortunately including rude Italians (not Italian). Pay we were of course the more expensive. Money does not matter, Yes.
3. The doors to the rooms were not lockable also 2 out of the 6 lockers were broken. In Rome, something will never steal fortunately.
4. Very dirty. The carpet in the bathroom was not washed, turn goes too! Germans are just way too picky. Was cleaned with dirty water — is so environmentally friendly 5 x to use the cleaning water. Just because it's Brown, it must be not so dirty.
5. The kitchen was a joke! Dirt was still the smallest problem — you could spühlen an existing pot before using. You but didn't even have a dose — or bottle opener. The wine was opened with a pen and Famili. Walter's hostel is inventive.
In the fridge, I would want to store anything. Unless you want to toughen up against mold.
6. Unfriendly — another guest has complained, because she has booked another room, the response was promt: "then she should be looking for something else. " well, something difficult in high season. But nice that is the problem so heartily adopted.
7. Expensive, for the balance of the usury is high 3! and where you have the pictures here, no one knows. Nicked probably on Google somewhere.

Hello fellow travelers, I just came back from a trip to Rome — where I planned to stay at Walter Guest House with a group of friends. After paying and putting our stuff in our rooms. There was a French man who told us that he just caught a small, brown scorpion in our room and that he recommends we don't stay at Walter's. After this we went into the main office, and the staff was laughing about the scorpion as it sat in a jar on the computer desk. They told us that it was found in a room and that it is no big deal, if it stung you you would only swell up for about a week! A bee is one thing. We decided that we wanted our money back, but the manager would not give it to us. He had us call the owner, Walter himself. Walter told me he would meet us in the office in a few minutes. The staff proceeded to throw away the scorpion and say that we were lying and that it was never there! We argued with Walter for about 15 minutes, and he eventually gave us our money back. This guy was a real jackass, please do not support his "bed and breakfast". I'll also mention that the mattresses are dirty, rooms don't get cleaned often enough, and the breakfast is a joke. There are much better hostels/b&b in Rome.
