Amazing hotel and service
I've stayed at the shard in london but can honestly say the service at this hotel is much better.

We are currently staying at the Napoleon hotel and will be here for a week. The service here is phenomenal the staff is polite and helpful and has even tried to help us save money. The wine tastings were excellent the food in the restaurant is superb. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to spend time in Roma. Just a few steps outside the hotel is the metro which you can take to most of the sites in Rome. A nice 15 minute walk from the Hotel to the Colosseum and plenty of things around the hotel to explore and eat or grab a gelato or an espresso. Bravo to the Staff especially Fabio and Roberto of the Napoleon Hotel.

After spending the past 4 days in this hotel, both my wife and 13 year old son and myself cannot speak highly enough about the warmth and attention to detail from the reception to the president of the hotel group.
The food is excellent and a well stocked wine cellar. We felt welcomed as if coming to a big family and that gave our stay a personal charm.

We went on holiday about a week ago. We stayed 5 nights there and they were wonderful. The hotel is centrally located, close to many attractions, Metro station is outside the door! The restaurant is great with good food and drinks! The rooms are decent — — remember you are in Italy, not the US! Concierge were were helpful with information, directions, reservations! They also have metro tickets, so that you do not have to buy at the station! Gratzie!

Congratulations to the staff at Hotel Napoleon for both their professionalism, helpful advice and going out of their way to ensure our stay was brilliant. They are a credit to their employer and we wish them the very best. Will definitely stay here again. Sad to leave. Michael and Lesley.

The following deficiencies can be identified:

We were on a 3 night stay in Rome and Hotel Napoleon was good for the price. The atmosphere was very nice and the concierge was extremely helpful in assisting in transportation, recommending restaurants, and overall knowledge of the the city. Breakfast was good and the help staff worked well. We didn't find that the restaurant was too appealing for dinner (just ok). Very near the train station and not too far of a walk to the center of the city.

What a great hotel! The staff are so friendly and the service is excellent excellent. When you’ve been busy sightseeing, the greet that you get when you enter the door is the best. Highly recommended.

Our room at the Napoleon was of good size, clean, with comfortable bed and good air conditioning. The location was convenient to metro and buses. The staff was helpful. The reason we did not give a score of 5 was the breakfasts. Compared to other hotels we have stayed at in Italy and in Europe, there was no good quality bread and baked goods. What was available for croissants and breakfast pastries was too sweet. Also there was no skim milk available, we did ask. Fresh fruit was limited. We did like the spinach.

Good location The rooms a little bit dated.

My husband & I paid the same price for the same type of room as our travel companions. But unlike their larger room with a full size bathroom ours was totally inadequate. The shower stall was so small it was almost impossible to use. It would have been fine for a child but definitely not for an average size American. Had the price been substantially less than our companion’s room I could understand it. I should have asked for a different room. Would not stay there again.

Beautiful hotel with friendly service just off the metro and a 5 minute walk from the Hbf. In style, rather conservative but not skewery!

The room was comfortable, a bit smaller than we thought. The arrangements to pick us up were very good and the flowers and Prosecco as arranged was supplied and very nice too. The staff were very friendly all round and we always got good service whether in the bar, breakfast or at reception desk. Fantastic recommendation for a restaurant too. Food in hotel was good.

This hotel is a very traditional one with lots of beautiful features. It is also right next to a metro station so it makes it super easy to get around. It is within a short walk of the colosseum and opposite a park meaning it is quiet. The staff are friendly helpful and courteous. The only downside was the extremely small bathroom, it had all the facilities but was so small you had to go in and shut the door so you had room to move and it was only possible for one person to be in there at a time. That said I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

It is a very good Central hotel if you want to visit the centre of Rome.

Excellent customer service 24/7. The interior is very nice with good bathroom and very clean rooms. The rooms were a bit simple for a true four star hotel but the cleanliness, historic value, and exceptional customer service make this a four star hotel. Good location too.

This hôtel is what we can expect from a familly business hotel : Nice and friendly. It s well located (15 min walking to the Coloseo), clean room, friendly staff, nice bar and good Wi-Fi.

When we stayed two years ago, we had a very good response, so we used it this time as well. However, the refrigerator water was very expensive, 12 euros. We booked two rooms, a double bedroom and a twin bedroom, but both rooms were double bedrooms. I requested that one room be a twin bed, but it was a reply to the effect that I could not do it. The last is correspondence at checkout. In the mail from the hotel, it was checkout at 12 o'clock, so when we returned from going out a little while before 12 o'clock, the room was already cleaned and the water etc in the room was being removed. You reply that you do not know Japanese e-mails, but if you explained that our guide is so descriptive in the mail from this hotel, you apologize and send me wine and water We gave it to them. If you do not understand Japanese mails, it is better not to use Japanese sites. Tourists from Japan are annoying. We are very sorry this time because it was very good staying two years ago. Even if we go to Rome next time, we think that it will never be stayed twice.

Be What about Hotel Napoleon not in need of presentations with his luxury.

Very Nice service provided by all the hotel staff. The only thing to improve would be to modernize the bathrooms, which are a bit uneasy because of the distribution they have. All very clean and careful. The Room was very comfortable.

Good starting point to visit Rome and to return in the evening: friendly place, friendly staff, family atmosphere and reserved at the same time.

We were a private group 6 people and enjoyed the comfort of a cozy salon with bar to meet before and after the Roman impressions. The rooms were well heated, with modern comforts. Breakfast with plenty of fresh fruit and everything your heart desires. The location is perfect in terms of traffic. The staff friendly and professional. The management personally engaged and you feel that it is not an anonymous chain hotel with tour groups clearance. In the hectic but magnificent Rome, an oasis of tranquility.

This Hotel is a perfect place to stay whilst visiting Rome. We have been coming to this hotel for almost 10 years and are always very happy with everything in the hotel. The staff is always on hand to help in any way they can and the staff are the same lovely familiar faces. The management and every other member of staff always do their best to ensure your stay is a good one.

Had a great experience at the Napoleon Hotel. Staff was very friendly and quick to help if we needed it. Room was nice. No view from the window, but was out most of the time so it didn't really matter. Would definitely stay again.

I loved my stay at Napoleon. The reception staff and concierge services were great with good information about the city, tours, etc. The bar and restaurant service and food and drinks were very good, and well priced. Room service was also great. The single room was a little small, and unfortunately my balcony overlooked in inner alley/courtyard — would have been great to have the balcony face the front park. My suggestion for tours: it would be helpful for people to know that the Hop-on-Hop-off bus is a good first day overview of places, and THEN the specific tours that they would like. Also, there is information about the Borghese Gallery needing prior booking in the elevator, but by the time guests come it, it is too late to book. This is not totally the hotel's responsibility, I know, but advance knowledge of the tours etc would be helpful. Rome is one of the most beautiful cities in the world, and cannot be seen in 4 days, but everyone tries! I had a lovely time, thank you!

Really good stay at the hotel. Very welcoming and helpful staff especially Roberto on Reception who provided excellent help and guidance. Our thanks to the hotel for an unexpected gift of wine which they presented to celebrate our wedding anniversary — a lovely surprise. Breakfast choices were excellent and plentiful. Location was great for us with the Colosseum a 15 — 20 min walk away and a Metro stop directly outside the hotel (tickets available from Reception). We would return again.

What a lovely hotel, staff are friendly and extremely helpful, rooms are clean, food is spot on, the hotel it's self is close to everything and there is a subway right outside so you can get anywhere in Rome cheap, I would highly recommend this place, would defiantly return to the hotel if I come back to Rome… ps Thankyou for champagne, please give it to your staff as we don't drink :)

We can't say enough about the service and amenities offered by your staff and facilities. From day one you made it your mission to be certain that everything was as pleasant and worry free as possible. The room was a nice size with a comfortable bed and ample storage space. The common areas were beautifully charming with an old world character that so many hotels just can't duplicate. The breakfast was outstanding and the bar and dining room were just right. Of all the things done right what stands out above all the rest is your staff. Every individual member went out of their way to be certain that we were taken care of. They approached their positions with professionalism and grace and obviously take great pride in what they do. Thank you for helping make our visit to your beautiful city one we will look back on with great satisfaction. And when we come back, we know where "home" will be.

Excellent service from pick up at the airport to day of check out. Room was spacious (we had a bigger room with sitting area) and the bathroom was large and modern. In addition the room was quiet and the bed was comfortable. The hotel was in an excellent location and we were able to walk to all the sights in the city, we even walked to the Vatican. If transportation is needed the subway stop is right outside the front door. We ordered from the restaurant one night and the food was reasonably priced. The staff were always friendly and helpful.

We really enjoyed our stay in this historic hotel with modern facilities. We were warmly welcomed and able to purchase a Roma card and told how to use it. The room was large with closet space, a safe, a sitting area, tv, and tea kettle. The bathroom was modern with a bidet and dual shower. The room was quiet. The breakfast buffet had a great cold and hot selection and staff. We were lucky to attend a complimentary wine reception and had snacks and an opportunity to meet the owner and other guests. After long days of sightseeing we enjoyed two good meals in the hotel dining room and bar. The decor of the hotel included objects and art from the 14th century. There was a seating area on the roof where you could enjoy the city outdoors. We didn't use the workout room as got enough exercise walking. The hotel was near the metro and walking distance to major sights as well as the train station. We booked a rate including transfer to the airport that really took out the hassle of doing it on our own. The staff were really helpful and knowledgeable.

Family-Run Hotel. In a quiet, Central location. Very friendly staff. Clean and well maintained rooms. In the last two years, the rooms in General were renovated.

This was my 2nd time at the Hotel Napoleon and more than met our expectations. The suite we had was ideal and was kept clean and fresh throughout our stay. The breakfast was always good with plenty of choice and we had dinner on two evenings which was very tasty. We both enjoyed the wine tasting and nibbles and the chance to meet the owner and other guests. We were very grateful for the generous gifts of bubbly given to us to celebrate our birthdays. All members of staff were friendly and very helpful with nothing being too much trouble. Overall we had a fantastic stay in Rome and will certainly stay at Napoleon when we return.

As always, we received a very warm welcome and immediately felt at home at the Hotel Napoleon. Every member of staff that we encountered at all levels of the hotel organisation were customer focused — very friendly with good spoken English, helpful in giving information about travel and events, very courteous and efficient in providing services. The wine tasting event on Friday evening was extremely congenial and gave us the opportunity to meet other hotel guests. The location of the hotel is extremely convenient for the Metro by which one can access most areas of Rome quite quickly. Overall it was a memorable 5 day experience and we hope to return again in the near future.

This was my second visit and I enjoyed it as much as my first. I travel alone and appreciate fact that I feel safe and comfortable in this hotel. You really notice that it is family run. The staff are friendly and helpful without being pushy. I dined in the hotel on New Year's Eve and it was a great experience, with a real community feel. The owner joined us and was clearly genuinely concerned that everyone was having a good time. The location is very good — within walking distance of Colosseum and Termini station and with a metro station on the doorstep. The hotel has attractive public spaces like the large lounge and the bar is a nice place to hang out with a drink and there is a good range of food on offer.

Both the hotel and the rooms and service very good. I have to mention the friendliness of all the staff. They treated us very well and are very simpaticos. In addition to the mouth of metro is at the door of the hotel.

Clean room with comfortable bed. Breakfast buffet — very good. Service — excellent. At the first night, of a 5 nights stay — we had a problem with the hot water in the shower. So, we were offered an upgraded room. To our satisfaction. It should be mentioned that the hotel manager invited all guests for 2 evenings of free wine-tasting, during which he managed to have a personal touch and a small talk with each guest.

Loved the stay at your hotel!

Although the hotel already has a few years, the stay has been perfect. The room could give you a 8 and to the staff of the hotel a 10. They have been attentive and friendly. We managed without any problem transfers to/from the airport. We called attention to the towels and bed linen, egyptian cotton! The situation of the hotel is very good, the metro in the same door of the hotel. The only bad thing is the environment of the area for the night, although we had no problem, in the park in front of the hotel there are many drunkards. Even with this, I would return to the same hotel.

Could not be more impressed. The staff were so accommodating and friendly. We could not have been treated better. Great facilities and nice location. Would recommend to anyone staying in Rome. Thank you all so much for such a lovely experience in a great city.

Enroute back to Canada after 2 weeks in Italy. Flying out of Rome so we checked in the evening prior to our flight home. The reception staff was professional and courteous. They contacted me via email a few days prior to my arrival to ensure the reservation was correct. We asked them to book a large taxi to take 4 people and a lot of luggage to the airport. They handled quickly and accurately. When we arrived everything was in place. They provided an early breakfast to accommodate our early morning flight. Porter staff stored some luggage for our convenience and took the rest of it up to our room. Check out was fast. Although it was a short visit, I was most impressed with the hotel. It is also conveniently located to the train station but far enough away from it not to feel like a "train station" hotel.

A family owned hotel in historic Rome. Easy access to the sights, public subway. Walking distance to the train station. The staff is so congenial and take pride in their work. Many of them have been there for decades. They assist you in deciding what to see and how to get there. On Monday evening they offer a sangria tasting where you can meet the owners. They have a private car that can transport you to and from the airport at the same price as the sketchy taxis. The only suggestion is to improve the Wi-Fi to the rooms, which seems to be a bit weak. The rooms are clean. The restaurant food is delicious. The bar is fun. I would definitely recommend.

From the welcoming reception to check out this hotel delivered everything it promised in a friendly and efficient manner. Excellent room with first class facilities and, above all… QUIET! The breakfast buffet was totally amazing and the small bar/restaurant provided a welcome haven on those nights when we needed to relax and get away from the crowds. The location could not be better and we would stay here again without hesitation and have already recommended the hotel to friends.

I stayed two nights at this hotel. It's about a 15 minute walk from Roma Termini or a 1 stop 3 minute trip on the metro. The metro has an entrance right at the door of the hotel, but you better know what corridor to use once you exit the metro. The wrong decision can put you a block away from the hotel. There are numerous restaurants in the area and the hotel itself serves food at a reasonable price. There is also shopping nearby. The hotel itself is quite classy. I got a good deal through Trip Advisor and stayed in a roomy double (by myself). The room has an electric pot to heat up water for tea or coffee, which is provided. The room had an air conditioner and there were doors that opened to a private terrace with a table and chairs. The bathroom is your typical small bathroom with an accompanying small shower. Plenty of towels are supplied and replaced daily if left on the floor. There are also toiletries and a hair dryer. The TV has two English language news stations; otherwise all the other chanels are in Italian. The room had no exterior noise, but it could be noisy if the rooms next to you have loud occupants. Breakfast is free and it is quite the spread. They actually have scrambled eggs, bacon and sausage along with all the typical breakfast foods available in an Italian breakfast offering. The Wi-Fi was excellent. This hotel was a great value and I would definitely stay here again.

The position of the hotel is brilliant. Right by the Metro line for the main attractions and a short stroll from the Colosseum. The staff were all helpful and friendly. The rooms are spotless very comfortable and quiet. They look out on a central courtyard. The air conditioning was excellent. The Wi-Fi worked well and was free There is a large reception room on the first floor adjacent to the bar and restaurant, where our group tended to congregate, which have nice and reasonably priced food and drink. The house wines were excellent. Very highly recommended. I have stayed in a lot of good hotels and the Napoleon was as good as any. We are definitely staying there on our next trip.

The hotel was great, reasonably priced, located right at the metro stop. Couldn't ask for anything more. I would definitely go back. Only problem the bathroom showers were very small, but everything else was fine.

We have been 5 nights in the Hotel. Both husband and my son and I would highlight the friendliness and service from all the staff and the spectacular breakfast. Our stay has been very enjoyable and without doubt, if we return to Rome, we would like to repeat.

By any standards the Napoleon Hotel is an outstanding example of what constitutes hospitality at its best — the management and staff are extraordinary their commitment to guest satisfaction and delivery was an experience that one would not easily forget. The Hotel is ideally located beside the Metro which allows easy access to Rome and its many historic sites as well as to the Vatican. My wife and I would have no hesitation in recommending this Hotel to any visitor to Rome — it provides quality accommodation, food and service to a very high standard. We will certainly be back as it is the ideal Hotel for a family break. While I have a number of staff names to hand I feel I may leave out somebody and therefore I will not name names. Without exception all staff members from reception, conciege to catering and housekeeping staff were exceptional.

Stayed for four nights before and after our recent cruise. This hotel is a bit dated however everything else have exceeded my expectation. Metro subway (V. Emmanuel) entrance right outside the hotel which is very convenient for sight seeing. Had dinner at the hotel during our last night of stay, and the quality of the food is compatible to our cruise. Staff are friendly and very helpful, will definitely stay again!

The services of the hotel is excellent. My son left his cell phone on the transfer car upon arrival. Fransco of the reception desk tried his every best to contact the driver and we can get it back finally. Room is ready even though we arrived early in the morning. Air conditioning is good and the shower is strong. Breakfast is adequate. Considering the price we paid, this is a big bargain.

Great location to get around the city, the area is very quiet and a few minutes from the Metro Rossa Vittorio Emanuele and Termini station, great for those who love walking and discovering Rome on foot! The structure is cozy and spotless, the owner Stefano very helpful, nice and welcoming! Quality price assured! The only black point is the breakfast served at the adjacent bar, the coffee excellent but the croissants … well no comment… but this does not mean that I would advise against it! indeed for sure I will come back and recommend it! thanks Stefano x the availability.

Very large rooms! Lovely host. High service… I appreciated the welcome kit so full of usefull things! Subway is very near so you can reach all ma in benchmarks in few minuts. The re is a huge park near there.
