What an amazing place to stay. Boat taxi to the hotel direct. Very helpful for things to do. Upgrade to a suite if you can, our stay there was one to cherish forever.

We had the most beautiful room, the windows opened right onto the Grand Canal! Great location close to St. Marks Square and right next to Harry’s Bar!

Everything is excellent there is no detail that escapes the entire hotel and the staff.

Having a ball, got off to a sticky start on our late arrival due to travelling circumstances in the fog beyond the hotels control, but the staff have more than made up for it. It’s a joy to be a guest at this iconic hotel. My wife is unfortunately spoilt in life spending a great deal of time between The Ritz & The Savoy in London, but she’s very pleased indeed to add this Hotel to her list of favourites. Ag.

Superb position right next to the canal and only a few minutes from St Marks square. We had a junior suite which had everything we needed and the bed was very comfortable. Only ate breakfast at the hotel but plenty of choice and staff very friendly and helpful. Lovely terrace where we often enjoyed an evening drink and watched the sunset, not bad for January!

Well just the amount that is proportionate for a child of 7 years, 4 ravioli with ceps at 15euro, it's not bad the price of the room ravioli fortunately they were good ravioli … Yes… it's Venice 17000fas then 4 raviolis to restore you … it's romantic.

A great hotel, really close to the main tourist hot spots but quiet and cool. The rooms are small but well laid out with great bathrooms. The pillows were so comfortable I wish I had been able to take them home. The only downside for me was the lack of coffee making facilites, hence 4 star not 5

Built in 1700, reconstructed in 2005, 92 rooms, 4 floors, elevator, a few steps from Piazza San Marco and 15 km to the nearest airport.

Very helpful staff. We were happy that we could buy the bus ticket that takes you to Venice, the island, only a 10 minute ride. I think they were 1.5 euro per person, one way. They also sold the bus/water taxi tickets, so you can get around in Venice. That might have been around 20 euro per person, but, you can get on and off of the bus and water taxi (ACTV) for a 24 hour period. VERY HELPFUL for sight seeing.

Room is too small but clean! in fact most of the hotel in island offer the same thing. It's ok for me n important thing location wise. It is located right on the grand canal with view of Basilica di Santa Maria Della Salute. Amazing! one minute walk to San Marco square. Will come back again.

Absolutely recommended! The location is perfect, very convenient for the stop of the Vaporetto and the taxi, centrally located, surrounded by points of interest, the structure well cared, the staff very friendly, helpful and professional, impeccable cleaning (reordered room and towels changed 2 Times/day). Surely in the future will be my choice to stay in Venice!

Came here because the view is amazing. I checked the menu and it seemed pretty good although the prices were really high you can't denied the view fits the price. Whatever you do don't order minestrone. Thinking we're in Italy minestrone must be the best. Wrong, it was just vegetables in hot water and salt. I have tried minestrone before from my Italian friends and clear liquids with vegetables is not it. Which I could give zero stars! The restaurant didn't even take off the charge for the minestrone which I found very strange and lack customer service.

Beautiful terrace on the Grand Canal. The staff were very friendly and very friendly.

Also this year convention in Mestre. New room and new view. The air conditioning is easily adjustable. I realized that it is not really isolated and a tour around it can be done. The staff was very friendly and helpful It's fine for singles and families. You can get there by taxi €35) bus (€8) or by sea to the dock.

We stayed at the Canal Hotel for an award ceremony, so I have no indications about the rooms and the service. But the location is wonderful, cured and in the area of Venice fantastic.

We recently stayed with you for a long weekend for my wife's 40th birthday from the moment we arrived everything was just perfect and we can't thank you enough for a wonderful stay all the staff from the reception concierge and bar staff were very friendly and accommodating we were made to feel welcome and nothing was a problem and the room was just perfect for us very clean, elegant decor and all the comforts we could ask for, if we ever come back to Venice we will only ever book with Monaco and grand thankyou very much

The Monaco was clean and spacious but of course it's 500 years old so there's not a great deal you can do to make it a fantastic hotel.

Very good location, nice but small rooms. High price level. Restaurant extremely expensive, 0.25 white wine 12, €50.

I was three years ago and very soon repeat, with this I mean that I think is very well the situation, price and comfort.

A beautiful view of Punta Della Dungana, close to Piazza San Marco. Good breakfasts.

Unique and particular view, I had dinner in a very VIP… beautiful and important people… table service very attentive, friendly and prepared. Recommended! Great terrace in the water during times when the weather is Clement.

Criticizing this hotel is impossible. Museum conference Rooms. Beautifully overlooks the Grand Canal. Little signaled outside you enter by an anonymous single door small defect.

Classic rooms, spacious, decorated with a lot of detail. Some of them have fabulous views. Mention apart deserves its fantastic restaurant: elegant, romantic and delicious. The treatment of the human team is excellent, taking care of even the smallest detail. Place to repeat many times.

I spent New Year's Eve at the Hotel and was very fascinated by the top environment, cared for in all its facets, courteous and helpful staff and stunning panoramic views. Unforgettable experience, definitely to be redone.

I stayed in a room without a view but still everything was designed perfectly. I never could Catch a good rate there again; but if I do, I will stay there again. The bar and artwork in hotel is delight.

Not the most beautiful hotel seen from the Grand Canal but beautiful interior design and beautiful terrace especially very well placed close to access to the gondolas and a vaporetto and a few tens of meters from Piazza San Marco!

It's a nice enough hotel — it feels like it is more business focused than vacation focused. The rooms seem well appointed; though they put us in a disabled room; even though we were able bodied — but I guess if you were disabled it was well appointed (seat in the shower, hand supports for the toilet — that kind of thing — though the bed was curiously high for being a disabled access room. The view was out onto the alley; not onto a canal or the river front. Well located in the centre (front) of the island; next to Harry's Bar (if you have money to burn). Always a plethora of gondolas in front of the hotel. All, in all; you could do worse — but look elsewhere if you're looking for romantic or boutique.

The location was great and the staff were very friendly and helpful. That of the positive, I recommend this hotel and will return to my next visit to Venice.

Nice staff, but over priced. Our room was small and very outdated. They were doing renovations down the hall which were loud and smelled bad in the room.

Not bad for a city like Venice but it is a bit cramped.

This is our treat stay while in Europe for 6 weeks. Even though we didn't have a canal view room we still felt like we really had picked a special spot. Location great for most activities. Part of being in venice is exploring all the little back streets, eateries & shops. Staff helpful & professional. Restaurant at the higher end of prices but our last night we had a treat with no regrets. Highly recommend!

Fantastic location and the staff were very friendly! Rooms are luxurious, sumptuous and very elegant! The Gala del Redentore was stupendous! The Fish Risotto and the Arrosto d'anatra and seasonal vegetables was mouth watering and to finish off with the delicious Dolce Fantasia Redentore was worth the 385 euros menu!

I really want what the Hotel offers. That is, quality, confidentiality, elegance and unique location. I feel like I've really lived in Venice.

Very comfortable stay at the Monaco. Small rooms but very well designed and beds are great. Location is perfect and near San Marco square while also right in front of the vaparetto stop thanks to its location right along the grand canal. Service was average, nothing exceptional.

Brilliant hotel, great location. Everyone is very friendly. When we arrived in our room, they had left a card and a bottle of champagne for my boyfriend's birthday. So lovely and unexpected! The room itself was beautiful and included stunning finishing touches, such as gold leaf on the walls!
The hotel offer a boat to the island of Murano, where they treat you to a wonderful tour of a glass factory. We saw glass being blown and made into beautiful creations, then saw amazing examples of their work.
I would not hesitate in booking this hotel again. It's been such a lovely few days!

Very well located on the Grand Canal near Piazza San Marco. The rooms have been renovated, small but very comfortable, marble bathrooms very well equipped. The service is really high quality from the reception to the restaurant, a real concern for the customer's satisfaction! Buffet breakfast varied and especially a beautiful view from the restaurant room in the middle of winter. Decoration combining tradition and modernity tastefully. Very nice terrace on the Grand Canal, nice to isolate itself from the surrounding bustle. Package stay quite affordable in winter.

The services were with a relevant welcome adjusted and a good unit both of the room and in the typical side of the buildings of Venice. However there may be annexed in the price benefits when comparing to other hotels located in the vicinity and that have the equivalent of the view and meals. It may be nice to reduce the price of breakfast when there is this one that can be understood with the room so that the supplement is less important with the quality and freshness of the products without discussion.

1) El baño no tenia llave para ponerle seguro… 2) Me dieron una habitacion cerca de un area que estaban remodelando siendo que habia mas disponibles lejos de esa seccion. 3) el recepcionista me engaño diciendome que habia recorridos gratis a la isla de murano, siendo que me llevaron a una tienda de murano de un sr que a huevo queria q le comprara de su tienda, si no me devolvia a la ciudad.

Had a fantastic dinner here. The service was top notch, the food was delicious, and the view was outstanding. Clearly, this is an expensive choice, but is truly wonderful. Make sure to make a reservation or expect to be scowled at. It's good enough that this behavior is justified.

L'hotel Monaco è sito a Punta della Dogana, a Venezia, in un palazzo storico in cui, un tempo, risiedeva un casinò/casino. Le sale sono incredibilmente belle e possono ospitare ricevimenti, cene, balli e qualsiasi tipo si grande evento. Il servizio ristorante ed il servizio catering per eventi sono di altissimo livello, dell'aperitivo al dolce. Le stanze sono molto belle, eleganti e suggestive, in grado di rendere speciale qualsiasi soggiorno. Altamente raccomandato.

We had an incredible stay at the Hotel Monaco & Grand Canal for my wife's birthday. Sadly, we were only there for one night but it was the highlight of our 10 day trip through northern Italy. We stayed in a Junior Suite (bedroom and sitting room) and it was opulent to say the least. The amenities and furnishing of the room was impeccable. Everything was spotless, clean, and updated. The room was a modern take on the historic grandeur of Venice. The room was beautiful, the service was spectacular, and the view from the restaurant was incredible. The hotel is ideally located for wandering around central Venice and you can walk to Saint Mark's Square in 2 minutes. I had a broken foot during our trip and getting to and around the hotel was easy. The staff was excellent; warm and friendly. My wife and I are no big spenders and many hotels will easily ignore patrons like us (not a hotel we could afford in season). However, we were treated like royalty and during our time there it was obvious they extend the same warmth to all. While we did not eat at their restaurant, we did get drinks there in the evening and enjoyed seeing the grand canal and Basilica di Santa Maria della Salute lit up.

Service, Staff and Restaurant were all fantastic. Rooms were a but dated, but still very comfortable.

Central, renovated hotel, with a nice terrace to the channel.

I go again and again for years. And I love it. It's the most beautiful location of Venice and the most practical. The lobby is large, clear, airy, tastefully mythical contemporary furniture. And authentic. The rooms are comfortable and nicely slightly dated. This is dusty DAO, or bling bling pretentious. The staff is a picture of the set, immutable, discreet, competent, without morgue and casually. The bar is cosy, unhappy smokers are not thrown to the street but have a small living room. The Salute will illuminate for you every night. The dining room is very banal, but we forget because of the spectacle of life of the channel. There are absolutely splendid receptions rooms upstairs. In short! We're happy in Monaco as in an old family house, in the permanence of its small flaws and his immense quality.

I'm very picky with hotels but this one meets my mark. Clean, friendly and the corner rooms are great! Highly recommend.

At the end of our days, there is no better spot to return to. The rooms are so beautiful, so authentic, and so artfully decorated. And when morning arrives, we are able to be more leisurely about our preparation for another day in Venezia, thanks to the generously stocked fridge, which makes breakfast so simple.

The Hotel that makes you feel like a Millionaire get swept off your feet from the moment your boat arrives at the front door what an entrance! and dinner on the Terrace at night was a Gourmet Experience with expert knowledge of Italian Wines to help you chose the Waiters were superb! Location was Fantastic side street into St Marks Square and Boutique shops Memories to last Forever.

Very good staff. We got a junior suite which was a bit too old decorated and a terrible mattress and pillow, but the bathroom totally new and well equipped and the view was incredible. Recommended.

What a great hotel at a perfect place! We had a small room with a spacious bathroom. Quite nice. Breakfast was ok, if you forget the bread. Great view from the restaurant and the terrace, nice to sit there for a drink. Staff was very friendly and helpful, service and food in the restaurant was very good. Bed-linen and towels were changed every day, this isn't neccessary. All things considered: we would come back.

Rudest staff in the whole world!? I was told that the public toilets (in the hotel) were, "for guests only, " despite being a guest and that I would have to leave. After proving said concierge wrong, he was still unrepentant and looked at me like something he'd stepped in! Too elitist for my liking, go somewhere friendlier.
