Le Sciantose Relais

While the location is great, the whole aesthetics of the “palace” ruins it for you the first time u step into the building.
We can start with a fee of 10 cents for the tiniest elevator ever invented.
Cracked paint and shady doors with shady passcode machines. Feels like a quest that takes you to the best (not) room ever.
The rooms, la piece de resistance (not), not only made me laugh so hard but cringe as hard as well.
Nothing in the room makes any sense aesthetically. Tacky color scheme, tacky materials, a shower that is unnecessarily gadgety, etc.
My favorite item of the room is the bed (again, not). I feel like sitting in a hammock because of the whole that was already created in the mattress. The sofa bed resembles a mouse trap that could unexpectedly close on the unsuspecting sleeping person. If you haven’t already got back problems like a good little millennial should at this age, well you definitely have it now! The bedsheets smell like vinegar obviously if it’s your preferred flavor then lucky for you, the internet is slow, I can hear other people showering in their room. The placement of the AC unit is fabulous for those that enjoy hypothermia sleeping right opposite it, and for those that want to feel like there isn’t AC in the room, I’d recommend the left side hammock for sleeping in temperatures like a lukewarm fart.
Long story short, I think a tent would have been a better idea.

The location is 5/5, it’s around the corner from train station and right off the main road. It’s B&B located in a residential apartment on the 3rd floor. They essentially turned 1 unit of the apartment into a B&B with several rooms. The building itself and the entrance on the 3rd floor is old, was a bit questionable on arrival but the rooms are well kept, spacious and clean. It was bigger than our hotel in Rome. The bathroom however is very cramped and the shower head was leaky but everything was clean. They have daily room service as well. I didn’t love the air freshener they used, it was overpowering when we first arrived but we folded it away and by the next day it was better. The biggest downside was probably the noise, we had room 1 which was right across from the entrance and you can hear the door slamming as ppl go in/out through the night. Noise from outside was also typical city noise, the garbage truck comes very early. But I’d say noise coming from the hallway was most loud that would wake us up, you can hear very clearly people, entering/exiting their rooms or if they’re having conversations.
The host was very responsive and nice. When we checked in, we were told breakfast would be delivered between 8a-10a. But what came at 8am was 2 cups of espresso, and 2 sfogliatas.
