We stopped in without reservations for Ristorante M’ama. We we given the option of a drink. Our bartender/ server found an empty table. Our cocktail turns into an incredible dining experience with a fine bottle of local wine finished with an amazing chocolate desert. Are service fees included in the bill? I don’t know. Did we tip him? Yes. Thank you for making our last night in Praiano a great one to remember.

Very nice and relaxing place with hydromassage pool and very kind staff. The food a real delicacy, too bad it costs an accident, but there is given that it is really exquisite. Comfortable bed and air-conditioned rooms.

Excellent hotel in a gorgeous town. Praiano is the place to stay on the Amalfi coast if you want a relaxing holiday without hordes of tourists and tacky souvenirs. The staff at the hotel go above and beyond; they will drive you in to the main town and to the beach when you wish, recommend great tours and help you arrange everything you might need. The rooms are lovely and the breakfast is nice with fresh omelettes and pancakes to order and proper coffee! Highly recommend. Also, if you are looking for a cooking class whilst in Italy look up Sergio's Home Cooking Experience — private cooking classes in a beautiful home 10 mins walking from the hotel at a great price — our favourite activity during our stay!

A beautiful property indeed! We stayed here for 2 nights leading up to our wedding in Praiano and were very pleased! From the welcoming staff to clean and comfortable rooms with incredible views and good food at the restaurant upstairs, as well as at the complimentary breakfasts each morning. The hotel sits up high on the hill in Praiano offering some pretty incredible views. Unfortunately we were not able to take advantage of the pool deck but everything was nice and very clean. We highly recommend and will definitely be back in the future! Praiano itself is a wonderful town for those who are looking for a less touristy alternative to the other areas of the coast. Convenient bus service allows for easy transports to neighboring towns of Positano and Amalfi.

Great boutique hotel run by a family, located in Praiano. From the pick up at Naples train station to checkout, everything was great. The apt had a balcony overlooking the coast, and in addition we had a small deck to spend time relaxing. The staff was great and the majority spoke English. Free breakfast was delicious, with several options including pastries, eggs, crepes, fresh juice and of course good Italian espresso. They offer a free ride to the local beach, which is about 7 min away. The local bus stops right outside the hotel, which can take you to Amalfi or Positano. So glad we managed to get accommodations with this hotel, and we will definitely return!

The reception and the staff would be really top-notch and so friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very generous and delicious for Italian conditions. There is a point deduction for the extremely bright rooms — without Ohropax, unfortunately, nothing went at all.

We have just checked out of Hotel Margherita early this morning & we had to come back with a review after such a refreshing stay. Amalfi Coast during summer can be a rather busy little place, upon arriving at Hotel Margherita that stress of the outside world was soon gone. The lovely welcome was just what we needed, the hotel was lovely & clean, with turn down service each night, great breakfast selections with cooked to order eggs & pancakes, the restaurant Mama served beautiful food & cocktails, plus all the staff were very helpful & accomodating, giving recommendations as required, organising boat tour to Capri & taxi for the airport, plus a packed breakfast & fresh cappuccinos to set us on our way at 5am this morning.
Thank you it was a really lovely stay.

We spent half our honeymoon with this as our base. We stayed in the honeymoon suite which had an amazing private outdoor tub and bed. Breakfast each morning was included and featured eggs or pancakes made to order, fresh yogurt, fresh fruit, deli meats and pies. The staff was especially hospitable and Praiano was much more relaxing than Capri or Positano. All local cuisine that was recommended was fantastic (kasai, franchino, il Pino, mama). One fire beach club was also worth it, just be sure to get there early to secure a chair. The hotel was priced extremely well for such luxurious accommodations. They even had a small gym for me to get my fix!

A magical place to spend a few days on the Amalfi coast, to try M'ama His restaurant open to all with its magnificent terrace overlooking the sea.

This is a nice boutique hotel. Managed by the family. The hostess, Margherita-granny, lives on the 1st floor in the apartment, Windows on the pool. Everyone runs her daughter, constantly in the lobby is.
The hotel is bright, clean. The staff is extremely helpful.
The restaurant is designer, the food is delicious. The wine list in the menu is half centimeter thick! There are drinks from all regions of Italy: wine (a clearing in that), Lemonchela, grappa, etc. Prices from 22 euros and to more than 200 euros, basically 20-40 euros for damask.
In the morning the breakfast is super, everything is done in your kitchen.

The Hotel Margherita and the town of Praiano are a spectacular experience! The hotel staff are the most courteous I've ever met and the service was all around the best I've experienced. We could call them from anywhere in Praiano, and they'd send a van to pick us up at no charge. Even checking-in was a relaxing experience. They sat us down with hotel-baked cookies and a variety of cold specialty drinks. And the restaurant was the best culinary experience we had in all the Amalfi coast! Amazing breakfast too with so many choices! Praiano itself is not very far from other neighboring cities like Amalfi and Positano (which are must-sees). And best of all, it's not crowded like many other Amalfi coast towns (Positano is probably the worst offender). The town is charming, and a stroll through its winding streets is very pleasant. Make sure to visit Paolo Sandulli at the artist's tower by the water side. We only stayed three nights at Hotel Margherita and then moved to another hotel in Minori for a planned two more nights. But we WERE SO DISAPPOINTED by the difference in service, hotel quality and views that we immediately called Margherita up and asked if they had a room to spare for us, and they did! We made the 1.5 hour trip back to Praiano just so we could get back to Hotel Margherita. We will be coming back. We recommend it to everyone. It's not even one of the more expensive hotels (less than the one in Minori)! But we can tell you now, expensive doesn't mean good.

We stayed at Hotel Margherita for 4 nights during our trip to the Amalfi Coast and are so happy we chose to stay there and in Praiano. The town is so peaceful and beautiful and the hotel is clean, cozy, comfortable, and well-run. The owner was so accommodating and she even prepared a flower arrangement in our room after I told her I was going to propose to my fiancée that evening. There is a swimming pool with a great view overlooking the ocean. The breakfast is hearty and delicious, and there is always good coffee and fresh water available. Each room has a backyard patio area with lemon trees growing where you can sit and relax. The beach in Praiano is a gravel beach and we preferred it over Positano beach. We still drove to Positano twice and enjoyed seeing the more populated town. If you are going to the Amalfi Coast, definitely consider staying at Hotel Margherita in Praiano. We are so happy we chose to spend our trip there.

First time in the Amalfi Coast and at Hotel Margherita. One word… FANTASTIC! The staff and level of care you receive is terrific, the room was nice and modern, breakfast was great and the views of the Mediterranean were breathtaking. Thanks to the staff of this gem for treating us so well during our stay. Can't wait to come back!

Hotel margherita in Praiano is a small hotel about 20 minutes walk from the centre of the city. The good: — sensational view from rooms, pool and restaurant — very friendly and helpful staff willing to go the extra mile (figuratively and literally) — walking distance to a supermarket and other restaurants — comfortable rooms The not so good: — beaches are not very close — rooms aren't as spacious as you'd expect — not a fault of the hotel however traveling to praiano is quite and effort.

The hotel is great. The service is even better. And the restaurant is absolutely delicious. For dessert, get the "Buon' giorno. " It is absolutely delicious. The best dessert I have ever eaten in a restaurant.

The hotel staff are so friendly and helpful. Every one of our request they have dealt with, with the utmost friendliness and professionalism. Their Restaurant is ranked no1 in Praiano (The Fork). Food was sublime. Breakfast was mainly European affair with but with Fresh Ommelettes. It should be noted. EVERYTHING is made fresh. From croissant to bread to Pasta. We will be returning definitely.

Located at Superior Vettius, 3 minutes from the centre of Praiano. The structure is nice and well made.

I love love this hotel! Three stars is seriously understating the experience. Love the magnificent sea view as we entered our beautifully styled oversized bedroom. Love the wonderfully attentive and friendly staff who seem to want to do all they can to make your stay entirely memorable. You can feel the pride and synergy of a family run business. Love the breakfast, especially the choc brownie slice. And the 'off the menu' lunch we requested. Love everything. Definitely will be back here.

November 7th, 2015 — My wife and I have absolutely no complaints with this hotel. It has very attentive staff. They offered us free rides around the town in their van and even came and picked us up from the beach at no extra charge (I didn't expect that! ). The views are stunning and overlook the cliffs and the sea. Everything is exceptionally clean and well maintained. Breakfast is included and it's not just a croissant and cappuccino like some places. They'll make you a big omelette and there is also a continental style buffet breakfast as well (with fresh squeezed orange juice). There is a gym with a fabulous view of the sea and cliffs. The pool is very small and unheated in November but that didn't bother me as it was cold and refreshing. The pool overlooks the sea as well. Wifi is fast and never crashes. Mattresses are KING sized and North American style (unlike some of the lumpy/springy ones we've had at other hotels. We are… Happy. Happy. Happy.

Great views, pool and the small gym has the most incredible view. The staff are great. It was so nice to arrive, use the gym on my own and the pool and then slip into the robe and chill out with the beautiful sea breeze and sound of the ocean. Dinner was a tad expensive. Complementary brekkie is awesome.

Wonderful place to visit on the Amalfi coast. Away from the hustle and bustle of the larger cities and the staff at the hotel are wonderful. I couldn't believe how helpful they are at all times. Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. Loved it!

The staff at Margherita are wonderful and make the place. They speak better english than me, they ferry you around Praiano in their lovely Fiat Mini Bus at a drop of a hat. The rooms are quirky and well appointed and it is in a wonderful location. Splurge on a deluxe room so that you have a balcony with an interesting view. The restaurant on the roof gets busy with people from outside of the hotel as well as in — which is testament to it's quality. The sommelier, has a fantastic knowledge about wines of the region and around the world. His choices were just perfect. Loved the fact that you can make your own tray up of food from the breakfast selection and take it to your room so that you can eat it on the balcony. The open air gym doesn't have a cross trainer and perhaps could do with a cover on as some of the equipment has become rusty. You cannot access the gym until 9:30 am as it is next to a couple of rooms (I think 14/16? ). If you go here we'd highly recommend you get the boat at the harbour of Positano (7km away by local bus which you can buy tickets for at the hotel) and head to Da Aldofo — we loved it so much we ate there twice! We also loved the small boat 70E per person to Capri it's worth paying more to have the luxury of a small amount of passengers.

What a great stay for a good price! we stay for 3 nights in a superior room. Very large room with a very nice view (much better than the "classic" rooms. A very kind welcome with a coffee and a smile! and they park for us our car! all the staff is very gentle. it s very easy to go down the village to the beach (PIRATA'S CLUB) but a little more hard to climb the stairs when back. To the hotel.! try an Aperol Spritz at the bar on the roof top. One of the best at Praiano. and when we leave, they give us a pair of bottle of fresh water for the trip. so: a very good adress. thank you for all.

My wife and I stayed here during our honeymoon in August 2015 and had an excellent stay. The hotel is in a fantastic location with great views across the Gulf of Salerno and along the Amalfi Coast, and each room has a balcony where these views can be enjoyed. Suela and all the hotel staff were super friendly and helpful when we needed anything, and organised trips and tickets for us with no fuss and great efficiency. The food in the restaurant was also fantastic, and made much the better that it was only a 30 second journey back to our room afterwards! Highly recommended.

We had a great time! Everything carefully in every detail. It's nice to feel pampered while standing in pool Jacuzzi corner, located in terrace where you can enjoy among other things a wonderful view where you can see the orizzinte the islands of Li Galli and Capri.
Everything we've seen from their website is all true, indeed there is something you can't see: the kindness of Suela and all his staff that is quite remarkable.
They have a Chef delicious and we had a great meal in a gorgeous location on a terrace overlooking the sea, also by candlelight, with sweet and mellow music playing in the background. In addition, public services are a short walk away if you want to go for a hike in the nearby Positano or Amalfi without ever taking the car. Finally, the Nice Gal with the Hotel Shuttle takes you or brings the seaside to the schedule that you decide. For us 10 and praise also the price/quality ratio.
Great, I recommend it to everyone, as a couple or with friends.

What an amazing gem on the Amalfi Coast. We absolutely loved our stay from the very moment we arrived! I couldn't recommend this hotel more highly!

Great experience! From the booking to the entire stay. Suela, one of the owners was kind enough to set us up with a car from the Naples train station so we did not have to drive the coast. The owners are so kind, and the staff is extremely helpful! Would definitely return.

My husband and I stayed in Hotel Margherita for two nights and absolutely loved it. While everything about the hotel was quite lovely, the highlight for us was the fantastic staff. Suela was so kind to answer my many questions about how to get around and what to do. The staff printed bus tickets for us, drove us into town, offered us bottles of water before we went hiking, made us cappuccinos. They even gave us a card with their contact information on it so that we could call if we needed anything or just got tired of walking and needed a ride back. Suela told me that they'd take care of us and they certainly did! The whole staff is very friendly and seemed genuinely happy to make their guests happy. This is the most hospitable hotel that we've ever stayed at and we enjoyed being a part of the Hotel Margherita family for a bit — wish we could have stayed longer. In addition to the lovely staff, the beds were very cozy, the room was beautiful and large, our balcony had a great view, and we enjoyed our yummy breakfasts each morning, as well as our dinners at Ristorante M'ama! in the evening. A quick note on Ristorant M'ama! — We booked on a half board basis which we did not regret. Ristorante M'ama was a great restaurant with a lovely view and, just like the rest of the hotel, a wonderful staff (they saved our bottle of wine that we left on the table unfitted so that we could finish it the next evening. I've never had a restaurant do that for me! ).

Hotel Margherita exceeded our expectations. The accommodations were very spacious and the hotel was spotless. Suela and her staff were so friendly, welcoming and provided every bit of information we needed! The views of the coastline were spectacular! The whole experience of visiting this area will be forever etched in our memories.

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Margherita. Every member of their staff was attentive, kind, and helpful. The restaurant cuisine was excellent and the breakfast buffet was perfect. We arranged our transportation and tours with the front desk, and everything went smoothly. We would highly recommend this hotel, if you are wanting to experience the local culture of the coast. (This hotel is located between the 2 major tourist towns of Amalfi and Positano. ).

April 2015 we were greeted with great attention, great availability from all the staff of the hotel. The rooms are large, clean, impeccable bathrooms. Great breakfast and good food. We received a special focus, really nice for our first presence! Very good, we can recommend it for the location.

We loved our stay at Hotel Margherita. The Staff was extremely friendly and helpful, even arranging a pickup from a local restaurant. (the waiter picked us up and the chef took us home. What service), as well as calling a masseuse for an in-room massage. The hotel is very clean, great decor, the rooftop pool is wonderful with a view to die for. We dined twice in the hotel and the food was delicious. Breakfast was wonderful with many choices, to include eggs made to order. Access to the beach was about a wonderful, view filled walked away (of course uphill on the way back).
No better place to stay in Praiano.

Hotel certainly recommended. Your reservation for the first few days of December, the site gave us some surprises. Warm welcome, helpful staff, great food, great location, cosy and clean rooms. To be repeated.

A wonderful quiet hotel that is very romantic and great on customer service.

It was a pleasure to have spent our 50th wedding anniversary with my children and grandchildren (12) at Hotel Margherita. The service was far exceeding what I would consider a 3 star hotel. The personal attention given by Suela and Areas and their staff was outstanding and the family atmosphere was just great. The views from our 3rd floor balconies were just spectacular. I would not hesitate to recommend Hotel Margherita to anyone looking for what I would consider the best. Thank You Suela and Areas.

This is the best hotel experience I have ever had.

Hotel Margherita was a pleasant discovery: we booked at the official site for a week, to explore the Amalfi coast and located in Praiano, was a great place to start. We actually spent a lot of time lounging by the pool and in the Sun and let us pamper you from the restaurant proposing delicious specialties. The room we booked had a fantastic sea view and was very welcoming. The staff is really helpful and helped arrange the move giving us valuable advice.
