We had a very nice stay, The k is perfectly located just about a 3 minutes walk above the city center. We found every day fresh mineral water on the bedstand, also grounded coffee and a french press as well as a tea pot and different high quality teas etc are available in the room alongside an electric kettle. You will find milk in your large refrigerator (in which we could store the salmon we had bought at the English Market in Cork). An abundance of pillows and a very comfortable queen size bed along with the very lovely decoration made our 3 nights stay a great experience. The host was very nice, provided information on Kinsale and was up for a nice chat. Free parking directly in front of the steps that lead to the front door.

Nice guesthouse, rooms a little small. Situated on a very steep hill so be careful walking… and parking your car!

Nice b and b at the top of the town. They don't offer breakfast but there is a fridge and tea/coffee maker in each room. Room a little small and bathroom even smaller! Walls a bit thin, could hear everything clearly that was going on!

The photo is not how this place looks, it is a very small property on a hill with a 4 minute walk into town. We reserved the night before and arrived at 3:15. Hostess never let us in but told us to come back at 4:00, she was abrupt. We were told to leave car anywhere, meaning street and walked into town to have a pint and wait. Rain set in, the kind that turns your umbrella inside out. Walking back up the steep hill in the rain at 4:30 we finally arrived but nobody answered bell. We pounded on the door for 10 minutes, did I mention the rain? Finally we went around the house and knocked on a window where inside woman was smoking a cigarette. She finally let us in and said she didn't know we were coming! Asking, when did we reserve? Wasn't I just there? We were so drenched. She did find us a room and made our dinner reservations when we requested but couldn't remember our name to book, so used hers. No breakfast. No USB plugs, TV no reception. Bed was comfy, not the best location. There was a fridge in room with coffee, milk and tea. We would have stayed 2 nights but decided to move on.

We stayed at the Oscar Wilde room. Beautiful furnished, has a kitchen and nice bathroom plus a sunroom and walk in closet. It's a few minutes walk to everything.

Lovely place. Comfortable as Carmel was a wonderful hostess. Central to Kinsale. Beautiful place fabulous position and room.

Nice, very central. My only complaint was there was nowhere to put anything, no drawers, no closet. The only hanging space was a coat rack and we had a lot of luggage.

Worst experience I have ever had with an accommodation. Borderline robbery. DO NOT patronize this establishment unless you have no issue with having your money unjustly taken from you.

Fun eclectic place very close to downtown Kinsale (a postcard perfect town with lots to do). This is more like an AirBnB than a hotel, but I see that mostly as a positive. It feels like you are staying in someone's en suite guest room, with all the pros and cons that implies. It is a very short walk to many pubs, restaurants, churches, and the water (though, it is a rather steep walk uphill coming back). This hotel was very quiet, and with blackout curtains I slept like a baby.

If I could leave a negative star, I would. We were traveling from Galway to Kinsale and among many setbacks, primarily our clutch going out and we had to wait for our rental car to be replaced. We ran late by 3 hours for their check in time, as Americans, none of us had a phone service since we were driving through the country and felt we'd have no issues as we were staying at a hotel. We showed up, as it was pouring outside, and she let us in and treated us as if we were intentionally inconsiderate and kept telling us that we were at fault for not checking in at the correct time (mind you it's between the hours of 4-7 pm). We admitted our mistake, apologized and she reluctantly went and got our rooms ready, she brought us to our rooms and then saw our phones, to which she pointed out we could have used them (we couldn't) and began yelling at us and asking us if we thought she was stupid because we had our phones, she then asked us to leave when we told her we felt uncomfortable and then refused to let us stay there or refund our money. At 11 pm at night, we were forced to drive to another city (Cork) to which we were beautifully relocated. She is a horrible host and if you're not a 45-65 years old and a white person, you will completely be treated as a subhuman.

Stayed here for a few nights for a friend's birthday. We were all welcome so nicely by the host. The house is absolutely beautiful and so full of art. You can tell it was recently renovated and all the rooms have their own unique feel. I loved the artists paintings and the names of the rooms, it was such a lovely touch. Our room was beautifully decorated and had so much natural light it was delightful.  

After staying at previous top class 5 Star Hotels I was so delighted overwhelmed to have stayed at the beautiful 'The K Kinsale'.
My stay at 'The K Kinsale was more than superb! My room was incredible 5 star, top of the rang and Carmel was so incredibly hospitable on my arrival and when I left. I would recommend anyone looking for a nice top of the range stay for a cosy night and enjoy an incredible beautiful hospitality night,
I would highly recommend 'The K Kinsale'.

We loved our stay here! Carmel was so informative and welcoming, the room very comfortable and the common area lovely! It's an historic building with lots of charm and character.
