Stayed last few nights, lovely hotel, lovely staff and lovely breakfast. Hotel has such a relaxed atmosphere. What more can a family want? It was perfect! And Dublin is on its doorstep. I'm really pleased my wife and mother in law thought it was great place to be, Any men reading this will know why I'm pleased. We will definitely be back.

A rather pleasant stay. Room was neat and tidy and fairly spacious. Staff was extremely friendly, from the front desk to house keeping. I don't think I walked past a single staff member who did not greet me with a friendly hello. The hotel is located steps from the Spire and in the heart of shopping. Transportation just footsteps away as well.

The hotel is nice, located in the center, but for 2 days the room was not cleaned, one bottle of water for 2 guests,. Little things of course.

Had a lovely steak meal. We all enjoyed our meal been lots of times. Love the decor around the hotel. Feel the dinning room could be decorated to match the rest of hotel. ☘☘☘

It is wonderful inside & the toilets were spotless. The downfalls were: service quite slow even though they weren't busy, though I was offered a free coffee to compensate for this. I was in for breakfast & ordered boiled eggs, soft, 1 was hard, the other was semi-soft. Waiting staff were pleasant and friendly.

We were given a complimentary upgrade, from a twin to what the receptionist called a suite but I'd say more a family room. Rooms were comfortable and clean, although a little warm. View was not great out the back, and windows had to be closed on a night as it was very noisy. Breakfast was OK, buffet with lots of choice. Staff were efficient throughout the service.

Beautiful hotel right in the centre of Dublin. The staff are very polite and helpful. Rooms are comfortable and spotlessly clean. The bathroom was very luxurious. We’ll definitely go back again.

Nice hotel with spectacular location in the heart of Dublin. The view from the rear-facing rooms leaves a lot to be desired. The rooms are not overly spacious, but they are very clean, comfortable and regularly serviced. Would definitely stay here again when travelling for business.

Nice hotel, pleasant enough. As usual for hotels nice entrance/reception area to "wow" you. Staff seemed pleasant. Room was clean. Bit noisy outside but that's not the hotel's fault. I'd stay here again without question.

Nice place. Very classy for the area. It had just been renovated, so the lobby looks good. Drinks are a bit expensive. The room I had was very big. TV was difficult to work. Plugs/sockets were hard to find and scarce. I have seen USB connections in other hotels, but not here.

Good location. Spanish employees, both at reception (eg. Ana) like the ones in the restaurant at breakfast time, they are effective and attentive. However the rooms are outdated.

Staff very helpful, service, buffet breakfast gargantuan, beautiful and good. The rooms are comfortable, ours had little natural light, but several points of subdued light are skillfully placed there.

The hotel was very nice and corresponds to the star standard.

The rooms have everything you could need they are pristine. The staff are welcoming and helpful. The food is all beautiful with a wide variety of choice. For the amount you pay it is amazing cannot fault it, most defiantly will be back.

Me and my girlfriend spent 2 nights over a weekend here recently. Really fantastic building and friendly/attentive staff. The room was good value for money and the bed was extremely comfortable. Really nice bar and restaurant too. The breakfast was quantity over quality but not bad with a great amount of choice. Would definitely come back again on our next trip to Dublin.

Reception team very friendly and efficient. Room very obviously In pre-renovation state, little disappointing, all very clean! Bar off reception, staff very good, maybe could have had 1 extra head. Breakfast area very good, great variety. Maybe hot food a little cold, but taste nice. All above should be taken as constructive. Thanks Jim.

To be from the Riu chain. The hotel is "right" though I have been to better. Clean but simple rooms. The breakfast was very good. And of course the location (throughout the center) you can walk to all major attractions if you catch the public transport which is basatante chaotic. The Aircoach transport company that operates from the airport to the centre of Dublin has the stop at the same door of the hotel.

The hotel is centrally located on O'Connell Street.
The hop-on-hop-of Tours start right on the opposite side of the road.
Until Temple Bar It is also within walking distance.
The hotel itself also has a bar and 2 restaurants.
The breakfast is outstanding!
The hotel is located in a historic building and looks great from the outside.
The rooms are elegantly renovated.
The staff is very friendly and helpful.
If I come to Dublin again, I will gladly take this hotel again.

Clean rooms, very good beds/mattresses, friendly and helpful staff, great breakfast buffet, the lounge is good, that served food tasty, but not a bargain paradise (Apperol spray €12).
Unfortunately no mini bar and not a hook in the wall to hang clothes. Very central location, but not noisy. I would book it again.
Addendum: the bar staff at the hotel restaurant Toddiesbar & Brasserie was a disaster during our visit. Waited forever and the whisky sour was something with lemon juice.

A very nice hotel with very friendly staff. The twin room we had was more than enough for my colleague and I, with large single beds and a good sized bathroom. Some of th decorations are a little dated now, but overall the hotel was very nicely done out. The breakfast was good, with a good spread of hot and cold options. The location is great, right in the middle of Dublin City centre.

Very cozy. We were very comfortable at all times.

Great breakfast. Those who are not satisfied are themselves to blame. Room very clean and the street noise is nothing to hear. Very close to the city, excellent for a trip to Dublin. Would book it again.

Recently renovated. Lobby completely updated, and their ballroom conference room completely redecorated and with new furniture. Even the toilets have been gutted and redesigned. I have never stayed over at this hotel; it has always been for day conferences, but the service is excellent. They appear to run a VERY good operation here.

Nice and comfortable. The rooms are different from each other, because they seem to have been modernized as they have been needing, but spacious and with a large and modern bathroom. Views a bit crappy, although not presumed of the Cibtrario, and it gets quite hot in the room but has air conditioning (yes, we had to put it in December). Breakfast is expensive and a bit poor though the Irish breakfast is quite rich. Close to downtown to walk and well connected to the airport. In the hotel bar you can also take shelter from the rain and have a Guinness.

Downstairs looks fabulous; however rooms a bit tired. They are large and spacious, but furniture worn. Floor tiles cracked in bathroom. Shower didn't drain properly. Did notify downstairs so they will hopefully see to issues. Room was extremely clean and staff were professional and friendly.

Hotel is amazing, in the centre of the city. Rooms are big and feel really welcoming. Staff is really nice. It's also got a bus station right in front that will take you to the airport in 10-15'

If you want to watch a noisy night, you're right Here. You reception makes promises to curb the House's own crash nothing happened at 1 o'clock at night we were offered a change of room on the second day because the volume was apparently not going to Change.

Fantastic 5 stars from us. Brilliant staff they couldnt do more, suite was beautiful and spotless. We been going there for short breaks for the pass 20 years and have seen big changes. Always felt very welcome and precious and valued customer.

4 instead of 5 stars because it would lack a part of wellness, part gym, spa. Although the hotel is phenomenal. Essential to be in Dublin, of the best. Maybe a small upgrade would be nice. Great facilities and rooms Of the best q I have seen outside of Spain.

Great hotel located in an unbeatable place, very close to the shopping and Temple streets. Spacious and comfortable rooms. You can leave the car in the parking lot at a reasonable price. Breakfast buffet with great variety.

Wonderful. Cleanliness, central and especially the staff great. They speak Spanish. We were Alucinandos.

We slept very well there. The breakfast was almost like in Germany.

Hotel in Works… sometimes very noisy. Very clean and easy to access by public transport. Breakfast very good cons the service of the restaurant rather mediocre this Monday (OK Hurricane…) server completely exceeded… Expected 45 minutes before taking the command…

From first to last my overall experience was one of great Care and manners from all the staff, made me feel my stay and comfort was there first concern. Even when I had to call back after checking out as I'd left important things in a drawer, they'd been found and we're brought to me asap. Can't thank them enough. Great bed also!

Very nice Hotel. The service is always friendly and helps wherever they can. The rooms are clean and the bath is really big for a hotel. If I visit Dublin again I would definitely stay here again.

Laa Habitacionea very ugly and small and with little ventilation. The bathroom door is missing a piece. The breakfast was very nice.

Had a great Irish soup here but wasn't under any illusion that it was authentic. Staff's nice but don't like it when you linger too long at the tables. Beautiful historical setting so worth a look.

Important Hotel in Dublin although it shows some old age sign (wooden doors not in good condition, lights not really illuminating and other small details not really exciting for the category).

Absolutely perfect… I stayed there only one night… yes this is the most expensive hotel on O'Connell Street but the service is the… a few meters from the spire.

The hotel was under renovation, but was still quite lovely. It has an old Ireland charm to it. The bathroom was lovely and had amazing water pressure. The bar/lounge had a good choice of drinks and excellent staff. The rooms were very clean and relatively spacious. The door staff were extremely friendly and polite. The only thing that didn't work was the Wi-Fi, it was very spotty and would only switch on for brief moments.

Great location, can't do better. From there you can start anywhere. It is in the middle of the action.

Excellent hotel, with attentive and precise service. Breakfast and dinner perfect. Position, which is good. Negative for the bath tub too high and dangerous to enter and exit and the location of the interior rooms that open onto courtyards poorly kept and dirty. These rooms hardly would please people who pay a full price, while you can go for sr rates or for groups.

A lovely place, fit for a king. Or a couple from Leeds. Great service. Would definitely come again.

The Gresham hotel is beautiful and clean. It is centrally located with a bus step right outside so it's vey easy to get around the city. The rooms are spacious and the staff is helpful and polite. They have been making my stay in Dublin a wonderful experience!

The location of this hotel is ideal in the centre of Dundee line city. However this means they charge a lot for a really small room. The hotel restaurant was ok, food was adequate nothing special but acceptable but made me want to eat somewhere else the second night of my stay. Nice selection of Irish ales though and the other bar had a good selection of Irish gin.

Old hotel that recently got renovated. We had the superior single room which had a queen bed. The rooms themselves were pretty decent and spacious. Location of the hotel was good as well. It's unfortunate that the entire city of Dublin is under road repair but such is life. Staff was good and the restaurants/breakfast were good as well. If you can get this place for a good price, go for it!

A great central location in Dublin, rooms large and clean. Unfortunately the air-conditioning could not keep up with the warm weather and it was a bit too warm in the room. Breakfast was very good.

Excellent customer service from all staff throughout the hotel from checking in to checking out, nothing was too much trouble. Room was very good, breakfast and dinner were good. I cannot find fault with this hotel at all. A very pleasant experience and the hotel was also well placed for touring Dublin City. Will definitely return. Thank you.

First time staying here. It has legendary status in Dublin and around the world. The hotel is very warm and welcoming. The staff are enthusiastic and very polite and helpful. I only stayed here one night for business but liked it. My only comment is that the room I stayed in could do with some modernisation.

We stayed a week in April 2016. The staff, dining, and service were impeccable. There is remodeling in progress, so expect some noise during the weekday times but this hotel has all the charm you're looking for. Zero traffic noise, a parking garage, and a few minutes from the heart of all that is Dublin. We would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Wonderful classy institution. Drop in for tea and scones or a full irish breakfast.

Terrible Wi-Fi. Can't overlook that. Common guys it's an age where that is a necessity. All else was good. If you are Amish or without devices this will serve you well.

I've only dined here which was mostly fine but speed of service varies greatly from day to day.

I was ripped off. Reception told me I could ONLY pay in British Pounds. I went along with it as I was tired and just wanted to get home. When I checked my statement, the hotel had exchanged into Euros at a poor rate, meaning I was over charged by €30 for a two night stay. Complained but no response from them.

Excellent hotel in a great Dublin city centre location. Close to the shops and the attractions we loved it as we could go everywhere on foot. There is a luas stop nearby and great bus links outside the door of the hotel. Breakfast was great with lots of variety, we will definitely be back.

The Gresham Hotel is an institution in Dublin, so much so that you never need to worry about getting lost as everyone in town knows it. The location is great for touring Dublin as most sights are a short walk to the south over the river. The area is apparently a little seedy at night and areas to the north west can be dangerous at least according to local cab drivers. The hotel is classic and slightly opulent but not pretentious. The common areas have an upscale classic European atmosphere that doesn’t lend itself to hanging out, but gets business done. Breakfast was pricey for the amount and quality, but in a pinch, it will do. There are however plenty of bakeries and cafes nearby though with better offerings if time allows. Service was top notch and very friendly. Early check in and leaving a back after checking out were not problematic. Wifi worked quite well even in the room. On a warm day in the fall though, air conditioning was not enabled so the room was overly warm. The windows were not well insulated from noise either so sitting above a noisy alley where people seemed to be continuously talking at night and garbage collectors continuously visited somehow every morning meant some interrupted sleep. The bed was comfortable and the room fairly large by European standards. An excellent place to stay for a reasonable price when exploring Dublin by foot.

I'm a business traveller. I had to book on the spur of the moment due to a cancelled flight. The room is newly refubished. They gave it to me at 9 am with no problems. The hotel is in a central location on o'connell street so a 10 minute walk to temple bar. The staff are friendly and the wireless works. Maybe the decor in reception could do with a bit of sprucing up. But, it is supposedly a landmark hotel, so I guess some wear and tear is also understandable. So, for me, a good experience so far.

Great location (hence the star). Beautiful hotel from the outside but disappointingly shabby rooms. Not even "period" shabby, unless the period you're interested in is the mid 90s (and by that I mean the 1990s, not the 1890s sadly). No attempt to match the interior to the exterior in these sad little rooms.

The smell of crealine. Kitchen hat. The price for a single CSO. Interior antique but really everything is old and everything is kept on the nozzle. One plus centre. As well hat.

Nice hotel and good location but price and breakfast let's it down. £20 each for breakfast where sausages were cheap and croissants stale. Parking expensive (should be free considering price of the room). Poor value for money.
