We stayed in this hotel for 2 nights for my Nieces birthday unfortunately we got food poisoning from a restaurant in Liffey valley and was so sick the next day. We had 3 kids with us and they were extremely sick. The staff in the Maldron was excellent jack Chelsea and Linda. They took us drinks and medicine to the room as we couldn't leave the room. Nothing was to much for them. On the day off check out Linda let us check out later as the kids was still so sick. The best and most friendly staff was highly recommended this hotel thank you for everything.

Currently staying here and staff are thieves! Someone has been coming into our room and helping themselves! Absolutely not on! I am disgusted — and got offered a complimentary breakfast and change of room! Came back late to find the chair moved from dressing table to in front of window with curtains opened!

Just home from a 1 night break with 2 adults and 2 children. Hotel spotless, food fab, staff extremely welcoming. Great night last night in the bar where we were entertained by Shane. He really interacted with our children while we sat enjoyed a drink or 2 with family we hadn't seen in almost 2 years.

Absolutely disgraceful they increased the price of a room in this hotel by 150e in space of an hour when they realised the demand for Garth brooks concert.

Stayed here lasted night. 100% worst place I stayed regardless of covid. Grand if you just want a bed to go on the piss had dinner there was bad and spent 300 thought breakfast be some bit better haha. An absolute joke. Should have known this place be bad when I seen an employee of the month parking space hahahaha and the managers car parked in it.

We had a great nights stay here. Rooms were comfortable and clean reception staff we’re very helpful and friendly when we arrived the breakfast was nice and the floor staff we’re also very helpful and friendly we definitely be staying here again!

Just home from a 2 night stay, lovely clean, quiet room. Breakfast was excellent and we ate in the bar both nights, food really good and our waitress on Thursday night was so lovely.

Really nice stay, room was a good size and spotlessly clean, nice cosy bed, (very warm during the night though and heard a few banging doors typical for a hotel I suppose) dinner was so good, fab kids menu and breakfast was lovely too. Nice friendly staff. we booked the zoo deal. So worth every penny.!

Myself, my husband and our two kids are just back from an over night stay here. Rooms were clean and comfortable, staff were friendly and very helpful and lastly food was lovely. Would most definitely book to stay again.

I paid €50 plus for a dinner that was nice enough but nothing special. Was given plain pasta for my 1yo that was as soggy as wet toilet paper, hardly nutritious and tasty for a boy who loves his food, thank god for aldi across the road and I had to pay €4.20 for the privilege, that's extortionate for a baby bowl!
finally got a travel cot after requesting a few times, but we had to assemble ourselves and they gave no bedding at all with it. Sure as long as I've paid my bill that's all they care about. No value for money in any service anymore. The staff are very nice to be fair.

We walked in and the girl that was serving didnt understand what I asked for also twice went to answer the phone while we were mid order! proceeded to get our order wrong till I corrected her and we were asked to have a seat. My husband came back with our drinks bar his due to the fact the Heineken needed to be tapped, which I understand, but we then seen a gentleman pull it and place it behind the bar whilst he served others for another ten mins as the girl messed about to which I had to go grab the pint myself! not somewhere I would go for a quick few at all.

Just a wonderful place to stop right before we come home tomorrow there’s a gas station Aldie’s and hotel bar wonderful wonderful wonderful.

Just back from a few nights stay here. Lovely hotel… All the Staff were so friendly and helpful. Food in bar was great. Rooms were spacious. Lovely breakfast buffet with a great selection and a great healthy eating selection of food. In a great location away from the city but Luas stop is about 20 minute walk or 5 minute drive where you can park and ride for €4.00 all day. We will be returning soon.

Went for lunch on Sunday with my family to the carvery and have to say it was less than good. My auntie had cabbage and ham while the meat was beautiful the cabbage was not even cooked.
I had the misfortune of ordering fish and I really think it had been reheated a few timed rock hard and fish was brown the chips were stone cold… it really was very poor. When I went to get cutlery the knives were quite dirty with dried in food it took me a while to find 4 clean knives. We have been here a few times but perhaps Sunday was a bad day but we left dissatisfied and saying we probably won't be back for a while.

Had a great stay. Front desk staff was very pleasant and helpful. Rooms are basic but we weren't in the room often. Beds are comfortable. Bathroom shower is narrow but with good water pressure. Basic soap / cleanser is available. Lobby offers computer access and printing for a small fee. The bar was very nice. Good drink selection and food. Particularly liked the chicken wings which were some of the best we have had on a while. Location is about 45 minutes by bus from city center. I was envisioning the location as being more rural based on reviews I read but it's a pretty busy suburban location. The walk to the bus takes maybe 5 to 10 minutes and then it's an easy trip in. We invested in visitor Leap cards which worked well for bus access. We were pleased with our stay.

We stayed at this hotel on the occasion of the World Meeting of Families, we were a group of 42 people.
Dignified hotel such as cleanliness and accommodation, good self-service restaurant open for meals, from Irish breakfast to dinner. After 22:00 you can order pizza, also this good.
On the last day we dined at the restaurant and were offered the dessert.
A little approximation in the accommodation of the rooms, often missing towels, but just call the reception that bring them to the room. The shower is impractical, but you will adjust.
Unfortunately it is located far from the centre, but there is a bus just a few meters away (No 13) leading to Dublin city. For groups it is better to take a taxi, more comfortable and with similar costs to that of the bus. The same applies to getting to the airport.

Room was clean and tidy. Would have liked drinking water available in the room given the warm weather. Also bathroom facilities were clean and tidy however no wash clothes and the shampoo conditioner and body wash was a 3 in 1 product. I suppose you get what you pay for.

From the time we walked through the doors we felt relaxed. The food at the bar was delicious and what other way to wait for our food than a board game yes we played snakes and ladders while we waited… not that we didn't have to wait long as the service was super fast. The breakfast I couldn't fault, that also was delicious. The room was very spacious plenty of room for a family of 5. Thank you our stay was an enjoyable experience. We will be returning to your hotel.

Restaurant staff, poor 15 min wait to order food even after calling a member of there team. Not sure if I would coming here again. Not impressed. On a positive note I must say at breakfast this morning the staff were more pleasant. Rooms very good and clean reception staff excellent and helpful.

Stayed here for Micheal buble concert and must say bad service from the minute we booked in. The girl on reception huffing and sighing when we wanted out rooms on the same floor. Too much trouble to look in the computer. Then when we went down for food in restaurant before concert we had to ask for a server 3 times and waited for 15 mins before we asked for 1 and they weren’t even busy. 1 of the girls got a turkey nap and couldn’t eat it cod it was all gristle when we told server all we got was sorry about that. When we said it to manager his answer was the same sorry about that. When we went back to our room after breakfast we were unable to get into room code had been deactivated and it was only 11.45 check out at 12. And again when we said it sorry about that was the mantra. Only saving grace is bedroom was nice.

Fabulous modern, clean room. Bed so so comfy. Staff really friendly and helpful. Gave lots of advice and information about local transport. Bar food was delicious and staff at bar friendly also. Will be back!

To borrowed from the high Prices in Dublin, we were looking for a Hotel on the Edge. As it turned out now, the Decision was just right. The Connection to PUBLIC TRANSPORT is very good. The Hotel is very well equipped. In the Evenings there is live music on Weekends. The Bar is very large and therefore there is a high Background In noise. The Room Equipment is very good. The Reception at the Hotel was very friendly and patient.

We had an area reserved today for my daughters communion. I have to say it was fab from start to finish. The staff in the bar, the restaurant manager and the manager working in the lounge were super friendly and helpful, the food was delicious plentiful and very reasonably priced and the new look lounge is beautiful. We ended up with more people than we thought we would have and had to take more space than we had reserved which was no problem, the on duty manager offered to have the chef cut the communion cake for us which he also served for us. We had quite a lot of children with us and at no point were we made feel in the way. All in all a fab day was had by all thank you very much.

Stayed lastnite — we arrived without any booking at 9:45pm… staff were more than helpful to accommodate us and we still managed to get food even though kitchen closed at 10pm. The food was super nice & we're usually fussy but would highly recommend it! There was a lovely lad in the bar called Keith who was super friendly! We were also accommodated this morning with a late check out of a minimal fee which we appreciated! We'll be back & thanks again for a wonderful stay!

Just spent 2 nights here with my family (including a 4 year old and 20 month old). I am absolutely thrilled with my stay. Rooms were spotless and comfortable. Everything we needed. Staff were amazing. They were so nice and helpful. Front desk chatted to the girls as we passed the desk. They knew we were going to the zoo and when we returned took time out to chat to the girls about their visit and gave them an ice cream as it was a hot day. The restaurant staff went out of their way for my 4 year old daughter who has a gluten intolerance. She didn't want anything on d menu that was gluten free. She wanted chicken wings that were gluten free but not cooked in a totally gluten free environment. This was not an issue for the waitress or kitchen staff. If she wanted chicken wings she would get them so they cooked them especially for her in a gluten free environment. We will definitely be returning to The Maldron Hotel Newlands cross.

Comfortable Hotel In a great location. Stayed here for four nights while doing some work in Dublin. Rooms are spotlessly clean, very comfortable with a lovely bathroom amply supplied with towels and toiletries. Wi-Fi is available free throughout the hotel. Car parking is available free of charge. Staff are courteous, friendly and eager to assist guests. Breakfast was excellent with a great variety to cater for all tastes.

I really don't know how they managed to get four stars? One is all they deserved. Beds are very hard not for people like comfort. No ventilation in the toilet. Only one smoking area located outside bar and what if somebody don't like drunk people? Finally managing stuff behavior at night shift leaving a lot to wish, highly not professional giving f… s to parking guy in front of hotel guest. Thanks for experience, never again!

A hotel pass, all of ten, the tranquility, the parking, the friendliness of its workers, the amazing room (that says Claudia) and the breakfast of hallucinate. If I go back to Ireland I will definitely stay.

Good size, contemporary rooms. Hotel located not far from the motorway and a good distance from the centre of Dublin. Lost stars for me due to noise from other guests in the hallway at 9pm. I appreciate not necessarily the hotels fault but frustrating none the less. Also lost a star due to checking in and having to wait for the key to the room. No explanation given and the first time I have checked in at 7pm and a room not be ready. It should be noted it was obvious the hotel was busy so perhaps they had a lot on. I would recommend staying there and my bad experience there would not put me off stopping again.

The hotel was OK, the rooms were clean, but the bathrooms were in a desolate condition! Allergens have been well received! Gluten-free bread was available!

Clean rooms and cozy beds. The staff have been very helpful, and the water pressure in the shower is amazing! The restaurant offers a nice carvery style dining experience. The bar/lounge area is clean and well staffed, and is stocked with an impressive draught beer selection, in addition to an eclectic mix of hard spirits, a good many of which were from local Irish distilleries.

I'm here now and was here for two nights two weeks ago. Perfect business/working stop over. Lovely evening meal. Breakfast is the best set up ever ever, and they have nailed it with barrista coffee. I even had a hard boiled egg. Lovely staff also.

Mary & Fergus Duffy (my sister & her husband) celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary at the Maldron last night (11/3/18). It was a party for family & friends. The Staff and service were exemplary. But the FOOD — was the BEST we ever experienced. It was absolutely amazing. I would highly recommend this Hotel. Well done to all involved, you deserve great Credit. It was a night we will never forget.

Our flight was cancelled from Dublin airport due to Storm Emma so we were looking for lodging and stopped in to see if there was a room available. The staff was very friendly and kind going out of their way to make sure we were comfortable even though they were extremely busy! The room was clean and the food in the restraunt was delicious. We would recommend this hotel to anyone!

We stayed here 3 nights during the snow blizzard in Dublin. I can honestly say the staff were so helpful and polite. We amongst a lot of other people we're sent there through Dublin airport, I'm sure it was a tough few days for all staff, you could not tell everyone had a smile on there face. From the minute we checked in to the minute we left it was a great experience, also the food was delicious. Thanks Maldron Newlands cross for everything, I will definitely be recommending you.

Very good budget hotel located very close to the luas so handy for going to city centre. Bedroom was nice very clean and a good size. The staff were friendly and helpful. The food was very nice I'm not sure what was up with their heating in the dining room but it was freezing the staff had put a few gas heaters around but the room was very cold. But the food was good. Parking is free.

I've never stayed here, I've had food a number of times though and it's always a pleasant experience. The staff will do anything to help and the food is really nice. It's also a great place for small business meetings over a coffee. Relaxing furniture and lovly coffee.

Our Ireland tour began and ended at the end of October/beginning of November 2017 with a stop over at this hotel. A really big hotel.
We felt comfortable on entering. Looked really chic. The staff at Dner reception was very friendly and helpful.
When we entered the room we were amazed. The room was very large and nicely decorated. We had a large double bed, 1 large single bed, a fold out sleeper sofa, 1 table, 2 armchair chairs, desk with coffee and tea making facilities and hair dryer, television.
The bathroom even had a bathtub. And place to move. We really liked it. With toiletries and nice soft towels.
Room and bathroom were very clean and tidy.
For dinner there was a delicious 3 course menu.
We slept in a large, comfortable bed.
The breakfast is mega good! A buffet with "Live Cooking station"! Everything tasted outstanding.
Mention value is still the cozy pub with outdoor "smoking point".
We really enjoyed it all.

Great service, great facilities. Only downside is parking as overflow is behind the hotel means a long walk to door. Defiantly staying here again. Staff polite and friendly. Access to Dublin is easy and quick.

Can't fault this hotel. Friendly, helpful staff. Great choice at breakfast and immaculately clean room. My wife is disabled so when we requested a room on the ground floor they had no problem sorting this out for us. Overall a very enjoyable stay and would definitely recommend.

Nice clean room and bath room. Staff very helpful. Breakfast was very nice in downstairs restaurant! Also nice bar and bar food. Only negative… no room service in the morning if your looking for "full Irish breakfast" delivered to your room. They do however deliver continental breakfast to your room for breakfast. That said I would still recommend this hotel to anyone. Also very reasonable prices for its location.

Great hotel, but a mess in the dining room, lack of food in the buffet, take a lot to replenish and having warned in advance wanted to leave us to more than 100 people without dinner.

We booked our room using the advanced purchase and we were able to book dinner and breakfast from home along with it. Check in was super fast and the girl was so nice. Our room was fabulous also — a family room and it was perfect for what we needed. This was our second stay and it has now become our favourite hotel in Dublin. We've recommended it to all our friends. Buffet breakfast is amazing and a huge selection is available! The dinner was well priced and delicious! The Hotel is perfectly placed for a quick drive or bus ride to the city! Can't wait to stay again!

I stayed here for one night, had an early morning flight. Hotel perfectly located for the airport about 20 mins away. Very easy to get to, lots of car parking. Staff on reception very friendly and helpful. Room was spacious, very clean and comfortable. I arrived late and left early so can't comment on the food, however plenty of local shops and restaurants nearby. No complaints at all, would stay here again.

We are here for the first time today and have been to many hotels and can say it is very good for the price!

There are above average sized rooms, with very good and clean facilities. However, The Hotel's food is not as good and the service staff rude as well as Unprofessional.

Nice modern hotel, our room was nice and quiet. Staff at reception were efficient and friendly. The only food we had at the hotel was breakfast. Breakfast was not good, sausage and eggs were very under cooked. Coffee was weak. Display was good.

A friend and I originally booked another hotel, but we were put to Maldron for some reason. Anyway, the staff welcomed us very kindly and made us feel like a "real guest". We were positively surprised by the size of the room. Everything was very clean. We then had the incident that rain was leaking into the room through the ceiling, but that can basically happen anywhere. We then were kindly asked to switch rooms. The other room was a little bit smaller, but that wasn't a very big deal for us. Breakfast was pretty good, it has got something for everyone and every taste.

For a 3 star hotel really good! Great breakfast, large rooms with good Wi-Fi.

We booked one week in this hotel, the price was high even if it was the cheapest that we had found. The room is big and looks good. The bed is comfortable. The bathroom is small and a not very comfortable. The breakfast for 12€ per person is good and abundant but some of the sweets and drinks are not included.

Room was decent however upon arrival I was told that there was no breakfast or dinner included despite having been paid for by my companies booking company. Showed the receptionist the email confirmation and she fixed it. I was not the only person on my group with the issue. There was a huge selection of breakfasts available however id avoid the cooked breakfast. The potatoes tastes like they were reheated from the previoue night as they were dry. The scrambled egg tasted weird. The sausages and fried egg were good though. Its not all negative though, I had a meal in the bar in the evening and the food was lovely.

The stay was satisfactory and scored less because of two issues. The first related to a fire alarm at 7:30 on Friday Morning. Which cannot be anticipated, but as I was in the middle of a shower at the time it was very Inconvenient. The second related to a party in one of the rooms late Friday night early Saturday morning which was finally stopped at about 2:30. Other than that it was a good stay regards Alan.

Go too far. A sea port, long labyrinth corridors. You may also use a quarter of an hour before you reach your room.

Was just what we needed as went to Ireland with close family and had taken time to find places and people who were special to her, which is why we were there. The general service was excellent and only issue was the prices for the in house restaurant, as think that this would be used by so many more people if prices were slightly more reasonable. Also limited vegan options were not found easily so ended up with an odd plate of food. Would recommend this hotel if you need a good bed and above average size rooms. The staff were ok although was a discrepancy that was not as simple as it should have been, also the content of your conversation with staff to amend the issue of the deposit already paid for, but not deducted from the final bill, was heard about by all the many other people walking around, especially after whole coach full of people arrived. Would recommend this hotel especially for business or short term stays.

Room was fine as I was only staying for two nights. TV controls were working poorly but should have expected as much as the last guest had turned the power switches off on the wall and at the back of the set. Understood why once I started to try and use it during my stay. Other than that, the room was fine and well stocked but was slightly colder than expected but that could have been that even though it was mid-August, the weather was dreadful and the room made it feel more like a wintry day than a summer one. Staff were fine and very helpful so for value, convenience and friendliness, this hotel was just fine.

Hotel not related to the number of stars. Staff below standards. Asked for an alarm clock at 3:00 in the morning with a takeout breakfast. Nothing has been respected. The breakfast after focusing finally got to 3h20. And what about that damn beverage vending machine right in front of the door of our room so noisy.

We stayed 2 nights mid week with another couple to do a bit of sight-seeing around the city. Hotel is in a convenient location, buses nearby. Taxi about 20 Euro into city. Hotel was very clean with quite a modern decor. Reception staff were very friendly. Breakfast the first morning was very poor, food was cold and mushrooms tasted like they were burnt… by the time you get your food and queue up for coffee/tea its stone cold. (none of us ate our breakfast that morning) We were down early for breakfast so it shouldn't have been an issue. The following morning we were late down about 1/4 to 11 and food was lovely and hot, no time queuing for coffees either. I would recommend you have staff to bring hot drinks to tables to stop food going cold. Other than that issue, hotel is great and we've stayed a good few times in recent years… the new renovations are lovely.

Stayed in the hotel a couple of weeks ago with my friend and our 3 young daughters. We stayed in a family room which was a brilliant size for all of us to stay comfortably. The staff were welcoming and friendly. Our breakfast was great too lovely selection of cereals, cold meats, bread and cooked breakfast and all very fresh. My only Issue although not to be negative on the hotel itself was that upon asking 2 separate staff members about the nearest luas stop to take us to dublin neither mentioned that we would have to walk 15/20 minutes along a very busy motorway in order to get to the red cow station… where incidentally there was a park and ride option. Just to point out for future visitors. The hotel is located a short drive from the The red cow luas stop which is about 25 minutes from dublin… it is also a very short drive to dublin zoo. We will definitely use the hotel in the future as it was an ideal base for our trip.

I've been now for more than a year in this Hotel. It has done a lot of work, as well as a change in ownership. Most of which I had booked was good. Facilities good and accommodating especially if you are from Europe land there is a minimum of one piece of outlet, and what is really good is the built-in USB outlets are charging. The food in both the Restaurant and in the Bar good to very good depending on the flavors I feel it is but as described. Since I always use a rental car also ample Parking. Ironing Board, iron, kettle, and coffee and tea are also included.

Room was comfortable and clean but unfortunately the phone didn't work in the room to order room service and the plug socet in the bath was stuck in place so couldn't release bath water. Minor amenity issues that's easy fixed. Staff were lovely and very friendly. Highly recommend the food. Looking forward to my next visit.

The location of this hotel is its biggest claim to fame. It is kept busy with various groups and families. Overall, it is well kept and clean. However, there are no frills at all. Even breakfast is self-service. However, there was fresh fruit and good quality yogurt. Reception was well organised and the person dealing with me was most polite, welcoming and efficient.

We travelled with a tour group in order to 13: 30 and have to wait until 16.30 to our room. The Breakfast buffet was so crowded that people had to queue for 30 minutes. To me, a coffee would be enough! 0 star.

The room was very good. Only bemol on the ground floor is a bit noisy until 2 am.

After a few particularly challenging days at work, as we were on business, to be constantly awoken through the night, pretty much every hour consecutively the feelings we had on departure were ones of adulation. It was comparable with a method used in Ancient China to torture and torment your captives into submission. Chinese water torture. Deprived of sleep by being woken constantly is not conducive to a productive work ethic. My company had paid for my trip and I believe I wasn't able to fully deliver there expectations as a result. An oversight on our part as we believed we were far enough out of the city to avoid the revellers, whom I'm sure had paid and deserved to be enjoying themselves, I would be doing the same, However I'm sure I would have had a lot more consideration for my fellow residents, we can't all be the same I guess. Over all not a great experience from us but I'm sure we were outnumbered ten fold by the people that enjoyed the social side of your country. Would I visit again? Definitely not on business as the definition between work and pleasure is not balanced fairly. For pleasure? Maybe. Consider softer door closures! Consider a few choice words to explain that it is a noise hazard if you are away on business. After all your receptionist just shrugged and said "this is what happens in Ireland" Maybe she should stay on the premises for 3 nights as we did to feel the real benefits of the "Irish" way.

The beds are very wide and have a good mattress. Unfortunately, the Service leaves something to be desired. It is unloving and not clean served and, unfortunately, the Breakfast Buffet is not refilled fast enough. The beer prices in the Bar are a Euro too expensive.

Rooms in good condition, the window can only be tilted. Carpeted floors in hotels, I find problematic. Shower with a little water. The Breakfast with the tour group was bombastic. 2. Visit didn't work the extractor in the bathroom and we had to ventilate the room window.

Food/Beverage only review: Went for mother's day expecting slop as is usual with many places on busy days however I was very pleasantly surprised. Firstly the hotel appears to have had a lot of work done and seems very modern and bright. We had food in the bar. Although it was busy, it wasn't rammed however it could have done with another staff member or two. The staff that were working however were great and very friendly. There was a good selection of food, portion sizes were fantastic and the food was fresh. The only complaint from the party was that the platter was very greasy. Other than that there were smiling faces and full bellies. If there was one thing I could ask for it would be a steak knife or at least a sharp knife with the roast beef. Although the beef was tender the table knives could not remove the fat. A spoon would have sharper. Very minor complaint.

One night stay with 2 adults and 2 kids. On arrival were allocated a room on the 2nd floor facing the m50. With a small baby and intense heat we asked to be moved away from the road if possible. Your front of house guy mark was exceptionally helpful. Moved us within minutes to a lower floor and facing the side street. I cannot compliment him enough we were so grateful. No air con was a big con but it would be the only pull back for this hotel. We ate in the restaurant for both dinner and breakfast and were very happy on both occasions. The staff are friendly and helpful the menu is varied and very tasty. The fish was so fresh you could taste the sea. Overall a very please any experience from a very happy customer. Also the renovations so far are wonderful!

Hi, we are repeat bewleys customers. And unimpressed with the noise level in the hotel. Also the amount of homeless families running around. Especially at breakfast time. I have great symphathy for these people but were paying guests and expected to have our breakfast without school bags etc in the isles and kids running around with bowls of coco pops spilling everywhere. Also On Monday night an individual was screaming outside like a mad man. At approx 11 o clock. The staff were lovely and also the food in the bar was nice also. overall it was a pleseant enough stay but very hard to explain to a 7 year old about families living there. I will not be returning. I think when I am paying over a 100 euro a night I will stay closer to city.

I always stay at Newlands cross due to its convenience to the Luas. I hate Dublin traffic. My email was hacked before and credit card used, therefore I book over the phone. I usually stay three nights when in Dublin. I think your hotel should give some allowance to people who do not like to book on line. Just a thought. Overall the staff are very pleasant and food in the bar is good and wholesome. At times Wi-Fi works, depends what room one is in. I love the fact that you offer smoking rooms.

We stayed on the Friday night for the Bruce Springsteen concert. When we arrived back to the hotel after the concert at 12.00 midnight we found out that there was a special menu and serving time put on for concert goers. People arriving back from the concert were catered for up til 1.30 a. M. With full meals. The food was delicious and exactly what we all craved after a long evening having been on our feet. Our room also was quiet and very clean and thankfully we were not woken by noise from other hotel guests or hotel cleaners the following morning which was greatly appreciated after a late night. This is the first time I have stayed at the Maldron since it changed ownership from Bewleys and I have only positive things to say about my stay there.

We had dinner in the lounge of the hotel, after about ten minutes of nobody coming to our table I went to the bar to see about ordering food and the barman was quite blunt and rude when telling me I had to order from a waiter. We had to ask 3 times to have knives with our food, which we never received, but was quick enough to bring our bill before we asked for it! The room was relatively small and bed was uncomfortable. We would have happily had a few drinks in the hotel but the service was unsatisfactory for us. Money lost there. Wouldn’t recommend and definitely wouldn’t stay again.

I needed to be in City centre for 1pm. I visited your hotel at 12 pm and asked about booking my room. I wanted to put note on room saying that I would be back much later that evening. Work had organised drinks and meal for after work and I knew that I would be late. I was told quite clearly that I would not have to put a note on the room, that your reception was 24 hours and my room was booked. I arrived back late on the night of my stay to find that you had let my room out. I now had nowhere to stay! The receptionist then organised a taxi trip across town for me to stay in your sister hotel in lepoardstown. A 25 minute taxi trip was the last thing that I wanted to be taking after arriving back to your hotel. I can only ask what was the point of me calling in to your hotel and letting you know that I would be late if you were going to give away my room anyway? Overall, this was a very very poor customer experience.

My only criticism was the Chicken and stuffing sandwich. The bread was dry as if sitting out for a long period and the stuffing tasted like Paxo mix, dry and not very tasty. The barman did not charge me for it so problem dealt with satisfactorily. Breakfast was excellent and the staff throught the hotel were terrific. Would definitely recommend the hotel.

I thought the room would have double and two single beds. There was one single and a very uncomfortable sofa bed. At check in I was told breakfast was €12 and €6 for children, I was charged €14/7 at breakfast, I only realised this when I checked my receipt at home later. There was 10% off voucher for booking directly and I still paid more than what I was told it would be. Ladies in the lobby smelled terrible of sewege, I persume because of the construction at the moment. The looby number is very low because of construction, I imagine that it will be beautiful when complete.

Very bad customer service. Dirty rooms and beds where like sleeping on the ground. The shower and bathroom in general were dirty and the cups that were in the room were stained, like most of the room. Operations manager David needs to work on his Customer Service or should I say needs re-trained from the ground up! And Khristina was the other managers name I think, she avoided all eye contact when walkin in or out of reception and did not give out a very welcoming vibe to any of the guests that were in my group. Would certainly advise another hotel if possible as the place is a dump to put it bluntly.

Did exactly what we hoped it would. Good location, staff excellent. Pity we didn't get the promised 10% discount on food when we settled the bill.

Great place to stay if visiting Dublin. Rooms are comfy and spacious. LUAS stop into town near by.

Was surprised to see that the lobby was being refurbished. Customers should be forewarned of any construction works. Otherwise my family were very happy. We wanted somewhere to sleep and mission was accomplished. I did not use the catering facilities in the hotel. I would suggest that you completely refurbish your dining area and bar. To me they looked old fashioned and uninviting.

I found our stay very comfortable, excellant service and lovely and quiet will be back.

Stayed in this hotel on Friday night, to be woke up to screaming on the corridor so we rang down to reception to ask them to ask the other customers to be quite, we then get a knock on the door by a man who seemed to be the manager to ask us to leave the hotel because we where with the other people and there was nothing but complaints about our room when there was no such thing, so we kindly told the manager that it was nothing got to do with us and then he said 'so why are you getting involved' never ever again will I stay in this hotel!

Very disappointed with the hotel when I went for dinner I ordered a pint of water with some lime and when I went to pay my bill I discovered they had charged me 1.35 euro for the water only place I have come across this nothing to do with the money it just the principle really a cheap shot.

If you are a french tourist flee! Especially if your english level is medium. It will not help you, for example : I asked where I had put the card back of my room at my departure. It's hardly if we explained to me… Personel that we meet never said hello. The rooms are outdated… It's really a 3 *? By against the restaurant is very well. It's my first and last time in ireland. When you pay a trip and you have this welcome … I speak little english sorry i' m tourist. I speak two other langages. People welcome you it can be said …

We had a lovely stay at Bewley's Hotel Newlands Cross. Room was great, comfortable bed with feather pillow but a second pillow would have been useful. Wi-Fi is available everywhere but signal is weak. The gym was fine, but the machines were old. The bike had a broken foot strap. There is no pool. Breakfast is good, we had the 12.50 euro all you can eat, but there is also an 8.50 continental option or simply pay for what you order. The last option is best if you do not eat lots for breakfast. We paid £125 for a family of four for 2 nights. We had the 12.50 euro breakfast. Great value seeing as we only booked 2 days ahead. The hotel is about 15 minutes drive from central Dublin. We would definitely go back here. Recommend.

We stay here most times when we come to Dublin, and we find it great, the restaurant is a bit pricy if one is on a budget with Kids. Lovely staff, friendly and efficient. Very comfortable rooms.
