Me and a girlfriend recently stayed at this place on our last night in Ireland and we did not have a good experience whatsoever. We had a 3 Hour Drive to get there and while on way I received and email from the owner stating I need to get there in time I will be able to check in. I had already dealt with this lady bring a little cold and kind of nasty and her emails prior to the trip and against my better judgment I decided to go with it anyway. When we arrived at 7 PM her husband checked us in. We weren’t given a small room that look nothing like the room I had seen online. We got ready and immediately went out, when we were turned and got ready for bed we realize how freezing cold the room was. We ended up having to sleep in the freezing cold which was very uncomfortable if you can imagine. The next morning when we both took a shower and both of us had a miserable time because the water was either scolding hot or scolding cold, no middle ground. The toilet also did not flush properly so you can imagine how all this is a huge inconvenience after One uses the bathroom. We gave a specific time at 9:30 to have a breakfast ready in the morning we got a knock on the door at 9:30 and when we arrive to the table she hadn’t even begun cooking yet, this made us late for some of our activities during the day. I was so upset that I barely spoke a word to her but my girlfriend was friendly with her as we were saying our goodbyes.

I can’t rate this B&B enough! Great location, great rooms, great hosts. Sharron was a lovely host who catered to our every needs, very polite and a great chef! The breakfast she cooked was 5*. Can’t thank Sharron enough for her great hospitality, she had everything covered to breakfast being in our rooms as we departed due to an early flight, to her giving me extra towels so I could colour my hair. Mr Biggles also the B&B’s residents cat who joined me in my room several nights for cuddles was the best company. I would highly recommend this B&B and will 100% be returning next time I go over! Xx.

If Mr. Biggles were the host, our experience would have been so much more positive. Definitely located in a great part of town. Able to walk to the main part of Sword's to enjoy sight seeing (Sword's Castle), fine food (The Old Schoolhouse Restaurant & Pub was amazing! ), as well as several other pubs. Also, breakfast was delicious. I have given this B&B a 3* rating because of the lack of warmth from our hostess. We had arrived early (11 AM) for check in after our flight from the States and she simply gave us our keys and told us our room number, then telling us to come back after 2 PM. She didn't even offer us a chance to get refreshed or to use the facilities. Mr. Biggles, the cat, greeted us when we arrived back after dinner. He followed us upstairs and joined us in our room for a cuddle and play. Ten minutes later, our hostess hunted him down, scolding us because he is not allowed on the beds. She said it was "time to lock him up. " Our 10th Anniversary was today, which I made her aware of at the time of booking, and she gave us no regard. We weren't allowed on the patio, where she had a lovely garden, because "it's slippery in the Autumn. We were running five minutes late upon check out, and she noted and remarked about that. It appears to me that she runs a B&B for the income, not the people she opens her home to.

The Rathview House both in its appearance and the caregiving has been a delightful experience. The breakfast was delicious and the ambience is exquisite. The sitting room is lovely and the bedrooms are very clean and very comfortable. What a delightful experience! Thank you Rathview House Best B&B in Swords, Ireland.

Great location! Close to down town. Wonderful breakfast Owner was very friendly. Loved that he wore a Kilt at breakfast adds to our Scottish experience. Place was small but very well organised with everything you need.

My friends and I arrived quite late to Rathview due to mishaps from our GPS and the terribly small Irish roads and lack of gas stations. Our host was understandably upset, but the way she expressed her feelings was absolutely atrocious. No one should ever be treated like she treated us. She bawled us out and treated us like pee-ons. She explained how upset she was with us for being late over and over, before even letting us into her home, and then she continued to ball us out and tell us how upset she was. She would not even let us explain ourselves and assumed we were late because we did not care to be on time. We even tried to offer her nice chocolates we had bought specifically for her, but she refused them. I am grateful that she let us stay even though we were late. But she clearly treated us like we were not her guests, as if everyone else staying at the BnB was but since we were late we were no longer considered guests. We were paying guests just like everyone there and we deserved to be treated as that. She also scolded us as if we were children, when in reality all of us are adults just as she is; so that was highly inappropriate. She acted as if what we had done was the worst thing anyone could ever do. After leaving us to be in our room, she came back and offered us hot chocolate. This was a strange and confusing gesture, due to how she treated us and since she still seemed very upset with us.

More like Wrathview in my experience. Let me tell you. My friends and I had been travelling all throughout Ireland for several days and this was to be our last stay before our flight in the morning. The directions we had used led us off course many times and we were nearly out of gas for which we had to detour to find (there were few 24 hour gas stations from what we discovered). Once we finally arrived — fatigued, run down, frustrated, desperate for rest and thankful that we finally found this place late at night — we were promptly scolded by our host. She stated we had no business arriving late at night and should have booked a hotel, despite already having this reservation. I called earlier using a stranger's phone saying that we wouldn't be there in time. She told us that she tried calling my cell phone and texting me but I told her that I didn't have cell service at all which is why I used someone else's phone. We stood on her doorstep for several minutes wondering if she was going to make us sleep in our car but since she was "already up" due to our knocking we "might as well come in". She showed us to our room and told us to be as silent as possible because she had guests already sleeping. She had also mentioned our voucher was only going to cover 2 guests not 3 because a lady from our previous B&B called her earlier saying that there were issues with that booking too.

Very clean and good food. The people running the place went out of their way to make us feel welcome.

I have stayed in Rathview House on numerous occasions & Sharon has always been warm, friendly, super helpful & always professional. I find she goes above & beyond to ensure your needs are met & never hesitated to share her knowledge of transport, best restaurants etc. I am now familiar with the town of Swords having stayed there off & on over the years. I wouldn't stay anywhere else as Sharon & her family are so welcoming, her home has a lovely warm atmosphere & her breakfasts are amazing-the variety alone is something even the nicest hotels can't aspire to!

My wife and I had a very pleasant stay at the Rathview House. Sharon was super nice and offered us many dinner options. Breakfast was great and the house was very cozy. A great way to start or end your time in Ireland, as it is close to the Dublin Airport. Would definitely recommend!

Great B&B. The best of our two weeks in Ireland. The breakfast was fantastic.

We only started one night to catch our plane early next morning but everything was great. Nice clean rooms and very accommodating. Great location, 15 minutes walk to the main Street in Swords along with the castle. A 20 minutes drive strait down the highway for the airport.

Nice clean rooms. Owners are very sweet. Fresh homemade breakfast. Older house though, so it can be noisy depending on the other guests.

Perfect location to start or end your Ireland visit. Sharon is a great hostess and makes a lovely breakfast! Highly recommended.

We arrived earlier than expected and the host graciously let us check in early. Although she always seemed very busy, she was very kind and informative as we acclimated ourselves to this new environment. We appreciated her hospitality.

Tidy comfortable rooms, a warm and welcoming host, a delicious breakfast menu, and the location is quite convenient to the airport and to Dublin by bus. I loved it!

I stayed here twice, the last time in 2010 for 2 nights. It's convenient as it's close to the airport, but not too close. The rooms are clean, the host is very nice, and the breakfast is good.
