Loved the food. This this is the connemara air dried lamb salad and it was beautiful, fresh, salty and so different.

My first and last time in this hotel, unless I will come in to take some more pictures 🤭 Food was absolutely nightmare, did not even have an ingredients that was specified on the menu. Other table had to return fries because they were cold. On the other hand Guinness was great 🤣 Do not recommend to go in there for food.

We travel a lot, but hands down this is our favourite spot in Ireland. We stayed twice in G and service, food and drinks were outstanding! We highly recommend paying little bit extra for luxury super king room, room is massive, I mean massive! We never stayed in bigger hotel room. We ended up cancelling our other hotel reservation on our last trip and extending our stay in G. Just didn’t want to leave this place 😍 Hotel is very quirky, modern and has different character. Food is tasty, room service on spot, smart pads in a room is nice touch, makes room service a lot easier, decent prices and all staff was amazing! Especially Miguel in a bar, such a lovely man, made us feel like home. Thank you and defiantly will be back again ❤️

My husband travel frequently and have stayed at some stunning hotels. Some are super high tech and some have been works of art but until our stay at the G, I can’t say that I have been privy to anything that has surprised me or made me grateful for the experience. At the G however, we encountered the most amazing staff. According to one member for instance we were told that the staff was there to make our experience the best it could be and to avail of the services to ensure our needs were met. This was exhibited by EVERY staff member we encountered who went above and beyond every day of our 5 day stay. We availed of transportation accommodation and the afternoon tea. The breakfast was beyond using the term delicious. We have yet to experience the Spa but will do so next visit. If you want to feel like a celebrity (even though that was not our intention) and you want an experience where you feel valued, I cannot stress enough this is the hotel you need to experience. We can not wait to return. Even though every single employee was a star in their own right and am so grateful for every encounter, I need to applaud David Kelly who especially made us feel so welcomed and allowed us to feel connected emotionally where I personally enjoyed not only the interactions but even just being greeted in the morning with a welcoming smile. We had the honor of being his passengers from Cong and also a trip into town.

Had the most amazing massage and facial today The experience from start to finish was 5 star Absolutely amazing place and will definitely be back again.

Lovely afternoon Tea treat for my birthday. They gave me a birthday balloon and personalized my plate with Birthday message. Staff were friendly and we had two little ones with us so their own tiered plate was made to suit. Very enjoyable, thank you.

Loved my stay here. The attention from the staff was second to none. Beautifully decorated and immaculate. The only disappointment was the cocktails. There was no passion fruit garnish in the pornstar martini and the standard didn't reflect the price. We requested tequila shots and they were brought to us in a tall glass with no salt or lime. Something every bar has plenty of. Shot glass is a must! But other than that we couldnt fault our stay.

Hi All, I just wanted to stay we had the best stay at the G Hotel last weekend! The location is central with a lovely view of the river. The parking is secure and free. The decor of the hotel is stylish and modern. The hotel is following Covid regulations to the letter. We loved afternoon tea and it had a great vegetarian option for me! The bedroom was spacious and the bed was one of the most comfortable beds I’ve ever slept in! Thank you so much for our anniversary balloons! The bathroom is fantastic and we loved the ESPA products! The thermal pool was lovely and relaxing. Our dinner was amazing, so many vegetarian options and our server was such a nice man! Thank you so much for our anniversary dessert plate! The cocktails were fantastic! A special thank you to Diarmuid who took his time to recommend what cocktails we would like, and they gorgeous. Breakfast was also of a very good standard and night quality ingredients are used. I would like to point out that every single member of staff that we met, were so nice, helpful and accommodating! We were made to feel so special and wanted, and we were truly touched. The staff are truly a credit to the G! We didn’t want to leave, so much so, that I booked to come back for the Halloween weekend! Cannot wait to see you all soon!

Great hotel amazing service with everything.

Hotel is a disgrace, staff are terrible, food is shocking, never again would I ever set foot in the door. And most certainly would never recommend your hotel again. Best part of the weekend was walking out of the door going home.

I have had many meals at the gHotel, all perfect. However, before the lockdown we used the voucher presented to us by our daughter as usual the meal was great. There was two choices on the night each one didn't reach the voucher amount. Therefore, we ordered a glass of wine each. Although we were given a bill for the wine until until I pointed out that there was enough money in the voucher to cover same. The waiter informed us that the bill came to more that the voucher amount but it was ok. Not so as there was money left over which we added to for a tip. All a bit embarrassing. Also I have typed a letter to the manager with no reply.

Such an amazing experience both myself and my sister had of Afternoon Tea and scrumptious treats and the lovely Megan who looked after us so well and was so helpful I would highly recommend this stunning Hotel five stars.

Had several movie tickets and meal. Very enjoyable lovely food and friendly staff.

Although the G is a beautiful hotel with great food, I was dissapointed with a few things. I booked a twin room but we were given a shared bed. I was disappointed in the restaurant service we received which was rude and meant we did not enjoy our meal, our room was over a sauna and was uncomfortably hot. I emailed the hotel to let them know about these issues and was told the deputy manager would be in contact but they never were. I was sent three emails requesting feedback, when I provided feedback it was not followed up.

Great food. Very Clean hotel. Awesome staff, they’re very helpful. Love to stay here.

Lovely hotel friendly staff amazing Concierge David has only been working for the hotel for only 3 weeks and no previous experience bar going to college he had gone over and beyond for me he really knows his stuff you think he was in the job for years and when he helped me travel down from Belfast we had a few problems getting me down but he is a wiz at the time David was only the job a week and a half and he deserves a pay raise already.

A positive experience from arrival, efficient, courteous staff, beautiful decor and ambience, superb food and drinks, highly recommend, we will be back!

I brought my 8 year old niece to the G hotel for afternoon tea for her birthday, she thoroughly enjoyed her little miss afternoon tea, the staff were so nice and friendly and made my niece feel very special.

Stayed for two nights, the service was absolutely amazing from all staff members, from check in everything was so quick, welcoming and relaxing. I brought my mother for her birthday, down to the room service was absolutely amazing, followed by our dinner in the dinning room, (a special thank you to Jordan who went above and beyond with everything for us). We also had spa treatments, which we felt so relaxed after, special thank you to my therapist Peggy! And the lady who don…e my mothers treatment, you’s were amazing. Overall everything went so well, thank you for the great service and stay!

Awesome place. Very modern. The staff was great. The food was very good "although we only had breakfast there". Definitely worth the money. And only a 20 min walk to center of town.

The hotel is fantastic. The lobby and lounges are gorgeous. The food is incredible. And the rooms are so warm and spacious. Highly recommend.

Would stay closer into the city center next time. Men's underwear found in closet next to minibar. Told by colleagues they all had cupcakes in their room when they arrived… they said I wasn't missing out since most of them took only one bite. 4L flush never worked, thank goodness the 6l flush did. For being a more upscale place you would expect nibbles at the bar when drinking. Luxury suite faces an "inner garden" which basically means the other windows to the other rooms when you have an entire side of the hotel facing scenic bay.

Just returned from an amazing weekend at the g hotel for my daughters hen. Their fantastic service began 1 year ago when we booked through Virginia, from their reservation team. Her professionalism and service was second to none and it was a pleasure to get her meet her as we didn't make her job easy as we were staying as a party of 20 and amendments were made many times from our initial booking. From the reception staff to the restaurant and spa personnel, they were all amazing and the hotel was fabulous. All the girls in our group didn't stop complimenting everything about the hotel and I look forward to my next visit. Thank you to everyone at the g! Lisa Lamberton x.

Gorgeous hotel, intimate and relaxing spa with excellent treatments. Downside — restaurant service is slow and guests can’t reserve tables. They forgot one of our party’s meals and the waitress then gave off about us — she was sour from start to finish.

I found this a bit disappointing. I had booked the spa for a surprise for my husband for his birthday so paid in advance. When we'd finished in the spa we went to leave and a staff member shouted across the room 'excuse me have you paid'. It's just not a 5 star experience, a touch on the shoulder would have been fine but honestly it was just rude; either way they had our room number. I actually made a complaint but never heard back, which again is just odd for a 5 star hotel. Other than that the hotel felt like a 4 star on the inside, some of the rooms were nice but nothing particularly special.

WOW! This hotel is absolutely amazing! The extraordinary staff and the superior service they provide is unparalleled! The decor was very chic and modern, and the rooms were very clean. The beds are extremely soft, and they even provide complementary water on your nightstand table! The showers were absolutely amazing — it felt like a dream! The spa was so relaxing and the masseuses were so kind. I can not say enough nice things about this hotel and their staff. I wish I could give more than 5 stars!

Had our destination wedding at The G in April and our entire experience was fantastic. We planned it from California without visiting, and Jana was so sweet and made our day perfect. All of our guests commented on the stellar rooms, 5 star service, and top notch food and drinks. We were taken care of every step of the way and had the perfect wedding day! Loved our complimentary visit to the thermal suite, visited in the evening and had it to ourselves. Very relaxing. Can't wait to come back!

Went for afternoon tea which was a great experience. Enjoyed the variety of teas and the service. The desserts were tasty but were very quite sweet. Atmosphere was lovely.

The entire hotel has an odd décor including black walls and dimly lit hallways. Our room however was bright and airy. Bathrooms were clean and on the large side. King bed was comfortable. Breakfast: There were several options for the included made to order breakfast along with the typical buffet type foods (fruit, bread, cereal etc). Pretty good overall. Staff were always very helpful and friendly. Hotel is located about 2 km, or just over a mile, from some of the main shopping, bar, and restaurant areas of Galway. About a 20 minute walk with several routes and plenty of sidewalks. We actually enjoyed the walk. Wouldn't recommend driving due, in part, to limited parking. Taxi's are available, probably over $20 euro each way. There are a couple of fast food type places located to the back of the hotel but wouldn't necessarily recommend. We gave the hotel a credit card to cover incidentals and they placed a temporary $50 euro charge on the card which is fine. We never charged anything to the card but now, a week later, we still have a $50 euro pending charge on the card. No telling how long it will take to remove. Will not do that again!

Was there for afternoon tea. A Group of 13 of us. Food and tea selection was very good but the service side was slow as only 1 person to bring out all different types of tea that were ordered. Hense why it only gets 4 out of 5.5 out of 5 definitely as the food were great. The scones were top notch! There were vegetarian & Gluten free options provided to those whom requested it. Good Value for afternoon tea!

Solid place. The rooms and walk-in showers are nice. Not to mention the breakfast. Way better than Galmont. It's a bit of a walk to town but it's worth it.

Original chic intent is still there but whilst well maintained, the hotel could do with a freshen up. Food is good with a price to match. I still can't get over the thought of a 5 star hotel in a commercial estate. Good views on one side, terrible on the other.

A fabulous Hotel and the staff were exceptional. Service and presentation top notch. Just a very short taxi ride from the city centre or a 10-minute walk. The only negative thing I have to say is that if you are in one of the front rooms facing the bay and the sun is out the room gets very very warm, almost uncomfortably so and even with air conditioning on full power the room was still too hot. However in saying that I would still definitely return to this hotel again.

Beautiful contemporary hotel located 5 minutes drive from Eyre Square. It is well known as it was designed by Philip Treacy. The staff are amazing and very attentive, what you would expect in a five star hotel. The corridors upstairs are quite dark. Not great for anyone with bad eyesight. The bedrooms are tastefully decorated in neutral colours. A lot of the rooms overlook a shopping centre. I was awoken by noisy delivery trucks early in the morning which was annoying. Maybe ask for a room at the front of the hotel. The breakfast here is one of the best breakfasts you will ever have.

Spent a Sunday night at the G Hotel, when arrived unfortunately our room wasn’t ready, we checked in anyway but found the woman at reception to be super unhelpful. She did not explain anything about the hotel/area although there was only one other couple checking in, we stood there awkwardly until we asked if we could sit somewhere. We were told to walk down the pink carpet, no instruction on how she will tell us that our room was ready so my boyfriend had to go up and ask when it would be, thankfully we got a different lady that was much more helpful and told us she’d find us and drop down the room key. I’m surprised they didn’t offer to bring the bags up to the room or anything. We had a drink and waited 25 minutes for the room to be ready. The Junior suite was gorgeous, the deal with champagne was lovely and the view was stunning, it made up for the disappointing for first impression. Although the TV in the bathroom did not work. We went out to inspect the ‘pool’ which we were told it’s €10 each to use the thermal spa which was disappoint for a 5 star hotel. There are reviews that are misleading about the ‘pool’ — not a pool, it’s more of a jacuzzi. We had to wait 30 minutes even just to use the jacuzzi because he hadn’t booked in time — would’ve been fab if reception told us that too. The location is out of the centre so if you’re looking for lovely restaurants, you’ll have to get a taxi. The décor is brilliant, something very different but needs a bit of TLC.

Attended a wedding and stayed for two nights. Really friendly staff and left sweets in the room for the kids which was a nice touch. Breakfast was really nice aswell.

The G Hotel & Spa Hotel Galway offers a dinner & movie package which cost 32 euro per person (2 course). The eye cinema is right next door and all you have to do is ring the G Hotel book your dinner, for approximately 2 hours before the showing, the hotel procures the tickets and you can pick them up at the hotel restaurant after dinner. Dinner menu is varied & concise which I like, they will allow you to customize any dish to your preference. The cocktails are delicious and most are reasonably priced at just 10 euro. Dress code is relaxed but it's a nice excuse to dress up. Conveniently located it has two enterences one on the Dublin Rd and one on the Monivea Rd. The G has ample parking outside it's doors and more is available underground. The staff are the best thing about this place top marks for customer service and their managers especially Barry who is an asset to the hotel. Love the interior design which was done by an east Galway native, Philip Tracey the famous hat designer. Highly recommend a visit.

Love this hotel. You can relax completely here and the staff are exceptional. Casha is so professional and works really hard looking after everyone. We often just go here for coffee which is really good. Dinner is delicious. It's certainly a top hotel.

Chic Design Hotel Just a few minutes walk from the centre. The suite we had was super nice. Two showers and a large free-standing bathtub. Only drawback, the couch in the room was partly the fabric off and hung ugly. The staff was all around very friendly and food and drink was also very good.

There on a Friday evening. Place was buzzing. Food tasteful & presentation lovely. Staff helpful and friendly. Really enjoyed.

What a beautiful place for afternoon tea for a Sunday girlie treat. Relaxed and beautifully served from fantastic and most obliging staff. Light piano entertainment in the back ground as we enjoyed the savoury and sweet menu it was just fabulous. We had 2 little girls with us and they were made feel so special they were very impressed especially with two rounds of hot chocolate!

We had a lovely time in the G. Reception and lounge are stunning with fabulous Christmas decorations. Corridors a little too dark and similarly in bar — could hardly read menus!. Mix up with our meals and my friend got shellfish with her meal — when she asked for it to be left out. Luckily she was not allergic. However when we told the waiter he said 'but besides that how was everything? '! More customer service training needed — especially for a 5 star. No Maitre D checking on us. However staff overall friendly and professional. The concierge was great and lent me an umbrella when I needed to go out! Beds very comfortable.

Spa is amazing friendly staff, food is gorgeous too. They play old black and white movies from a projector in the main eating area. Atmosphere is a little dead for partying it more romantic then party.

Just back from a two night stay. Hotel is in desperate need of a revamp it's has so much potential to be amazing! Very grubby in parts. Staff were very friendly resteraunt staff at breakfast were very scatty. They give you tea and toast before they take your order so by time hot breakfast came it was freezing! Rooms were nice bed was very comfy…
Spa treatment was amazing but spa itself was a let down and you also have to pay to use the pool which is ridiculous… I'd only come back if I got a really cheap dea. Way over priced defo not a 5 star hotel.

Wow is a word you use when visiting The G Hotel. The lively vibrant decor is a trademark of this Philip Tracey designed hotel and we had the pleasure of enjoying afternoon tea in the Pink Room. This is a busy hotel especially on a Saturday afternoon but as you sit in the beautiful comfortable couches of this room there is a calm and dreamy atmosphere and you can relax enjoy delicious food and people watch. Service was friendly if a bit slow but we were not rushing away so we enjoyed every minute. Well worth a visit if visiting Galway.

The food was excellent and I really appreciated their gluten free options! Staff were very friendly. The suite was very comfortable and the bath was so big it was lovely to have so much extra room! My only real issue was that the keycard system for the rooms stopped working the morning we were checking out and we had to go up and down the stairs to reception 4 times before eventually someone from housekeeping let us in. Systems can break down of course, but we expected the hotel staff to be better equipped when that happens. We would have appreciated them sending up a staff member with us with a working master key, rather than letting us go up and down 4 times telling us each time "It should work now. Are you sure this is your room number? " It made us very stressed as we were with a wedding party and we were all locked out of our rooms and had to travel home that morning.

No hotel can top this place. If u are in galway dont even look up another hotel you wont get better.

I revisited the G Hotel during the races. I take this review out on the G Hotel but it really applies to Galway City in general. The prices are crazy. Do they really have to charge this much for food. The food is excellent, but not at any price.

Fantastic food. The Chateaubriand is exceptional. The rooms are a decent size and nicely decorated. The curtain in our room was ripped and the bed quilt had some stains on the inside that looked like old dried blood buy it was on a corner at the bottom under the sheet. Great location, very near the heart of Galway. Staff unbelievably helpful and pleasant.

Staff are fantastic, room was lovey, hotel is very nice, food was 1st class but was disappointed with having to pay extra to use the Sunna/steam room and what was discribed as a relaxation pool (not a swimming pool) it not like I used a groupon voucher or something? I paided full price with a meal and breakfast for two in a 5⭐️ Hotel to be told u need to pay to use the pool that's not really a pool.

The G hotel over looks the beautiful wild waters of Galway bay, even though the G looks like the Google logo I had the best time drinking their. The service is amazing, this watriess Niamh was very attentive and on top of keeping my glass full. I think everyone should get drunk at the G.

Excellent modern hotel. The rooms are top notch and very comfortable. The current ratings for the restaurant are well deserved as it's food is amazing and the staff are all fantastic. The spa experience is also among one of the best my wife and I have ever had. All in all, an excellent hotel.

Stayed here last September and have to say the room was amazing. Bed was so comfy, the shower was giant and the room was spacious. We could of spent our entire stay in the room/hotel. The breakfast was top class, would highly recommend the pancakes. Be down early to make the most of it!

Stayed here twice. Received wonderful service both visits. Breakfast buffet spread is substantial, afternoon tea is delightful, the funky lounges are great for relaxing with a night cap.

We where here at the Gigi's restaurant for my wife's birthday, I must say that food and service is spectacular! It's a bit on the expensive side of things but considering the quality of food and service, the venue been a five star hotel and the exclusivity then it's well worth it.

Look, this place is worth staying in to see the genius that is Philip Treacy alone! The ground floor themed room rooms on the way to the bar and restaurant are just fascinating. The design hasn't changed since it opened in 2005 and it doesn't need to… EVER!. It's timeless and beautifully artistic. The hotel is generally very good too! ;)

Always nice to pop in here for a cocktail before heading out in the city. There is a great menu with lots of cocktails to choose from. Staff are friendly and always willing to suggest a cocktail if you can't make up your mind.

Fantastic rooms, best bathrooms of any hotel in Ireland. Only downside is Bar are lacks atmosphere.

The whole family stayed for the weekend, my lovely brother organised it. It was a blast. Used the spa the follwing day and we loved every bit of it. Must do again soon.
