Christmas here was beautiful the beautiful set tables with our names on and the champagne toast and dinner was delicious and I never enjoyed myself so much and I was a solo traveler table by the fire so amazing and definitely will come back next year as it was class and style and design and bedroom I could stay in my room it's so beautiful.

No views! Just a dormer window & cost the same amount as the last hotel we stayed in that was set in 14acres with park views & a four course meal thrown in! The room was grubby at best, the lock on the door kept locking us out & we had to keep going to reception maybe 5 times! Car parking €8 pr night. Not worth the money!

3.5 if I could give it. Hotel front, lobby and bar/restaurant were nice. 4 stars. Rooms were ok 3 star total because the bathroom really needed some work. Tub drain and surround were pretty gross. Location is good. With 10 minute or less walk to train station, bus station, Quay St. And the main square.

Ronan, he was wonderful! Actually, most all staff I encountered were great. Even though I stayed in one of the lower end room (variety of levels here and I was penny pinching and late in booking) it was excellent! Very clean, bed was super comfortable and nice linens. My only issue was how high the tub was, but that is only because I'm a bit of a clutz.
Someone on another site mentioned no a/c but honestly I didn't expect any coming in and was pleasantly surprised by a fan in the room. I stayed here on my own while my family did a vacation rental… they were not even given a fan, and we we're here during the unusually warm time with lots of sunshine. I'm not sure if the hotel arranged such wonderful weather for my trip or I was just lucky! My family came and hung out at hotel bar a couple of times with me. The restaurant/bar was good. Honestly, Ronan was the stand out for service during my whole stay! Keith was good as well, he politely laughed at my jokes. The full Irish breakfast was nice, I couldn't bring myself to go full on Irish and eat the black and white pudding and baked beans. All in all I would highly recommend the Harbour Hotel to anyone coming into Galway. Oh, but don't expect a Harbour view from a window, the way it is situated there isn't one but that doesn't take away from the charm of the property and great location.
A bit sad I have to leave tomorrow and head back to the States.

Great hotel great service and car park.

Room was comfortable, food was good, and the service very amenable, though a bit slow in the dining room. Parking was a bit of a pain, 8 euros a night and very limited space in the garage with tight spots.

Well located large rooms (of 8) bathroom correct. But it's a real maze. Otherwise very well equipped sharing room. Warm place, I recommend.

Really nice venue and hotel. Great bar with their own session IPA.

Perfect location, just a few steps to the center.
Ample private covered parking spaces in the courtyard otherwise there is a large parking lot in front of the hotel.
Good value for money, friendly and clean rooms.
Rich breakfast buffet.
We had a direct view of the harbour.

Harbor hotel is beautiful! The decor beautiful for Easter. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They made our stay very comfortable. When we went, they were preparing for a large conference but they were still attentive to us and made us feel important. The continental breakfast was delicious!

The Rooms are kinda small, at least that one, and I believe there are apartments right near the docks, so you will hear drunk folks coming in late at night if youre on that side of the buidling, but the staff at the front desk are wonderful, they always called taxis for me, and helped me with anything I asked, the restaurant on the other hand was pretty bad, I was constantly ignored, I asked for a beer, and got it when I was done with my meal and at that point I didnt even want it! and it wasnt even busy, this happened twice before I just began going out to eat during my stay there.

Nice clean rooms but staff under pressure due to wedding/ wedding party therefore not much info regarding breakfast times/breakfast venue or where lift. Had to then ring down for the towels etc as they only catered for two people even though three sharing. The staff were friendly and accommodating though and the breakfast was good.

Lovely location, we returned very late and it was ok, breakfast was great, staff friendly and helpful, room was spotless and great shower. Super nights sleep in a cosy bed. Will stay again.

Very nice, upscale hotel. Please make sure to talk to reservation staff for a room with nice view in advance otherwise you will end up with the view of parking lot!

Excellent hotel. Very convenient to Galway city centre. Staff are very attentive. No complaints.

Friendly reception staff. Room was next to road so quite noisy. There were xmas party in the restaurant so couldnt get a booking for dinner. Rang reception to ask for a bucket of ice but no answer. Had to brave the crowd in bar. Reception rang back when they saw the missed calls. Decent breakfast. Have to pay for parking — €8 a day. Really good location and would stay again.

Had my surprise 40th birthday party here. Staff were extremely professional and couldn't be more helpful. Stayed the night as well and always treated with respect. Would recommend to anyone.

We stayed one night at the Harbour Hotel while visiting Galway. The room wasn't anything fancy, but was clean and a nice size. The bathroom was clean, though the water pressure left a lot to be desired. The room was very hot, but opening the windows helped. The staff was kind and helpful. The hotel was in walking distance to many restaurants, shops, pubs, and cafes (and obviously the harbor). I would recommend for a short stay, especially if you're not planning on spending much time in the room.

Nice place warm and welcoming. Ordered food four of us there. Food came all nice. Waiter and waitress talked amongst themselves never asked if we wanted dessert drinks tea etc. We just asked for the Bill and left.

Catered for 13 people for Afternoon tea. It was a great success. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was lovely. It was the perfect lunch! :)

By far the least pleasurable stop we have had on numerous trips to Ireland. We paid for an upgraded room, to have a King bed. The room was excruciatingly hot, overlooked the parking garage, where people were coming and going at all hours of the night. It was bad enough that we left the hotel for the weekend, to stay in another part of the country. We stayed one night upon returning, and it was just awful. We checked out early, to stay in another hotel. The only thing that was nice, was the staffs ability to check us in 3 hrs early, after flying in from the US. The hallways stank of seafood, and there were not even refrigerators in the room for waters. Save yourself the money, and stay in a hostel, as they are equally as nice. We regret spending one dollar staying here, nevermind over $1000, especially for the two nights we left and did not stay, but left our suitcases there. Never again… just awful.

Modern facility. Business travellers might rate it higher, but I found it much like an alien spaceship. The music played from breakfast to 10 pm was way too loud throughout the hotel. Definitely not for tourists or vacationers over the age of 40. One staff member explained that Galway is very much a student town and students had just returned. Staff were polite when addressed individually, but were otherwise oblivious to the presence of customers. I would not return.

Great location — short walk to all the shops, restaurants and pubs. Large room and bathroom, in fair condition by American standards. No air conditioning and didn't get good ventilation from windows that only cracked a tiny bit.

We stayed for one night — they were unfortunately fully booked and or reservations were wrong, but the concierge accommodated us as best as possible very quickly. They also had a pretty good included breakfast.

We had an excelent stay at the Harbour Hotel in Galway. The rooms were pretty and clean, the personal was always friendly we only had 5 minutes to walk to the city center. The only thing that was missing was the view over the sea. ;-)

The hotel is great. Some parts of the hotel have been updated and the decor is trendy. It is close to the city.

Room is very pokey for a double and a single bed… dated decor, very noisy bathroom fan, dated artwork, too hot, awful bedding… €418 for two adults and a child for 2 nights… I believe the executive rooms are nice… so ask for them… nice staff.

Hotel very comfortable, staff very professional but friendly. Pillows are the best ones I've ever slept on.

A 21st birthday party was booked in the ballroom the night of our stay. We were on the 3rd floor and could hear the music until 1AM. Our room was above the main entrance so kids lingered, were loud and getting in fights. Kept us up all night. We received an apology from the front desk but that was it. Room was nice but no A/C. Good location. When we checked in, the front desk was very helpful with planning our walking excursions.

This was my second time staying and it was brill! Stayed for my sister's Hen Party and we got such a great deal! Started with afternoon tea (which was gorgeous) and one person arrived late and they even brought her own plate with everything on it plus more! We had cocktail making afterwards and dinner later on! The only advice I'd give is to have an extra choice for the set menu as there was no chicken dish and mostly fish. Hotel got done up a few weeks ago and it is gorgeous. So modern! All in all a great night and can't wait to come back again!

The location of this hotel is great! Far enough away to not have a lot of street noise but very close to the best parts of town. They had an excellent staff with very tasty breakfast as well.

I stayed here 2 years ago and it was really nice. I loved the spacious room and comfy bed. I wish I could have stayed an extra night. The breakfast was good too. Worth a look if you want a hotel.

Great hotel in a great location. Nice cosy reception area, great service, nice bar, spotless clean & comfortable rooms and a fabulous location.

My friends and I went to Harbour Hotel Restaurant at New Years Eve for a dinner and new year eve celebration. I really enjoyed the dinner part of that evening. The food was really tasty and well prepared. Service was nice and helpful. Unfortunately we didn't get a "Glass of Bubbly" that was promised with New Years Menu… Another disapointment was the fact that there was no music to which we could dance. Before booking that night we asked if this will be available and we got confirmation. After the midnight we left in a mission to find a place where we could find some music and a dance floor. I would recommend Harbour Hotel as a place for a nice and tasty dinner however not as a place for a event such as New Years Eve.

Beautiful hotel, nice clean warm and friendly hotel with secure multistorey car parking just a 10min walk from the heart of Galway city. It's located down by the docks, a perfect location to watch the ships come into port or to stay for the Galway boat racing. Highly recommend to all.

Not having parking caused some huge issues. The rest of it was a standard hotel. Nothing great about it.

Dont come here unless your wallet is packet with €50s and your wearing your best dinner jacket. The staff prioritise the people who have the the look of weath. Dame good cocktail though.
