The portion of food at silk road is still quite big portion even the smallest plate. I am food wasting person. I will give you the suggestion for your future review on the portion of food especially meat item for 2 or 3 pax. Dont have to be big portion. Other than that compare the last time I visited tremendously have improved. The restroom at the lobby is extremely clean. Public attendant did a great job. I almost believe a staff did well because he or she lead by great inspirational and motivional leaders.

Considering a so called “high end” hotel, it was by far one of the worst experiences we’ve ever had. The hotel managed to lose my luggage when storing it before check and also mixed up our rooms with another guests. The greatest part is when another guests had carried our room key and barged into our room at 9:30pm and we were almost about shower… imagine if we were naked… we felt so insecure and violated having strangers coming to my room and no one from the hotel can te…ll us where my luggage were. It took 2 hours to sort out everything and it ruined our evening. The mix up they did is a huge human error that should not happen in any high end hotel. It breaches security and discomfort of guests. The hotel did nothing to minimum to rectify its mistakes, customer service was poor and even they tried to offer us club excess. The club loung was rundown, staff were inexperienced and food was just appalling. They can’t even make a soft boiled egg right also with no egg stands. We don’t want your horrible club excess. It’s crappy anyways! Oh and the rooms are not even cleaned properly. Hair dryer was not even put back in place. If I am paying to stay at a mid to high end hotel, I would expect much better service, and attentiveness to its guests and security. Let alone how to treat their guests. I would NOT recommend anyone staying in this hotel for its price and level service you are better off staying else where.

Hotel has been around for a while. Located very near the central business district of Singapore, and on the cusp of Chinatown. Immediate surrounding has plenty of food and drinks options from low cost to higher priced ranges. Overall well rounded.

Mid range hotel. Good customer service. Haven't stayed there before. But if there's a compelling reason to do so, I wouldn't mind trying it out for a staycation.

I was at connection 1 and 2 for an event. Service staff were friendly, food was good and refilled promptly. Only downside was that the menu cannot be changed/chosen even when certain foods were a little inappropriate for the event. The Element buffet in the morning was good.

The hotel is bit dim. Maybe it is because of the ambience that the hotel want to show and it is kind of old fashion of hotel. The room is spacious tho. However the concierge named Raymond really help alots. And really active. Thanks to him. Cheers.

Amara Singapore is one of the best hotel. Hotel Staff very cooperative. City view was nice. All attractive locations were nearby except Night Safari, Singapore Zoo and River Safari. There was an Indian restaurant nearby with 24hrs service that was one of the good thing. I have uploaded some pics with city view from my room.

We had a decent stay at the Amara. We chose not to include breakfast for our stay. The staff was wonderful and friendly the concierges was extremely helpful and knowlegable. We decided to give it three stars that the room was a little outdated and needed a refurbishment. The bed was wonderful and the extra fluffy pillows allowed you to dream throughout the night. The other negative was I had to call housekeeping to make up the room. I would not have bothered but for some reason they attempted to make up the room but stopped. You may ask how. Well if you ever notice the toilet paper usually is folded when you first enter a hotel bathroom. I know for certain it was used prior. When we returned it was folded and somehow a towel wound up in the shower. I can say 100% that no towel we used was left on the shower floor. So, my question is. Why did they stop? Lunch? Fire drill I guess we will never know. The pool is refreshing and well maintained. The location is great and convenient. We would stay again.

Thank you Ivan for supporting us in terms of coordination and Jeffrey for making the dinner awesome experience for my guest. A superb event hall and the food was of excellent quality! First time visiting the hotel for a business event and stay. It is a comfortable hotel located within a busy district. It may be a little dated compared to other hotels however the service and comfort were all good. The food was good as well.

This hotel is well situated within the financial hub where business travellers can stay while on biz trip. Rooms are spacious and service is great! Good choice of dinning experience.

Convenient location A few minutes to the metro station near a lot of restaurants hotel opposite is the 24-hour supermarket fair Price walk about 10-15 minutes to reach Maxwell Food centre and China Town Chinatown is very convenient rooms are quite large bathrooms are quite big just facilities a bit old but OK I heard the hotel pool is very good unfortunately no time to go also, the hotel staff is very helpful lobby service centre in addition to luggage and help to send postcard price is also very suitable if the hotel requirements are not too high is a good choice.

Beautiful hotel lobby and great taxi guiding service. Connects to the 100AM mall on Tras Street which has a basement supermarket and a bunch of eatries on every level. Great location for a tourist to base themselves as there is always something to do nearby.

Was there at Element for buffet. The oysters are the size of a 50cent coin. Very underwhelming. If you love seafood, it is not the place to go. The penang prawn soup was fantastic tho.

The Amara hotel is a very nice hotel. The staff are all very very friendly and accommodating and will go above and beyond to help you during your stay. The gym is open 24 hours and the pool is open until 10pm. The room service is available around the clock. Perfect for when you just land and still have jetlag! I would definitely recommend this hotel to anybody staying in Singapore. It's a 5-10 minute drive to the marina. The room was a little old fashioned, but nothing wrong with it all. Lots of mirrors in the bathroom too, which depending on body confidence can be a bad or good thing I guess! There is a fridge in the room, and a supermarket next door in the 100AM mall. I would recommend getting drinks from there and putting them in the fridge, as drinks are expensive!

Really nice business hotel close to the CBD and entertainment. Well maintained, friendly staff (they agreed to hold some of my luggage for two weeks while I was in Northern Europe) and a great breakfast. Easy walk to the Hawkers Markets for Singapore’s most authentic meal.

Close to the city center, 20 minutes from the airport, the environment is better, convenient transportation.

Went to the Korea restaurant on the 2nd floor of Amara hotel. The food is good and cheap at the same time (approx. $20). Highly recommended.

I have to think there are more polished alternatives for budget conscious travelers than this. Hairs and used contacts stuck to bathroom sink upon check in. Yuck. Bathroom doors didn't function. On the plus side, friendly staff, good location, especially for the money.

3 Stars are more than enough for a Hotel that definetly needs a renovation on the rooms and the pool area. For this price you will find much nicer Hotels in Singapore. To be honest, the only thing we will keep in mind was the friendly and helpful staff as well as the breakfast. Will not stay there again.

Was there for a CNY function. Food was good. Venue was spacious. Minor feedback regarding the waiters/waitress — They seemed to be in a hurry to clear the plates and utensil and I had to stop them on several occasions.

I've spent a long weekend in Amara recently! The hotel is nice: big rooms, a nice and big swimming pool outside and a small gym with view on the pool! What made the stay very nice was the cellphone I got in my room with free calls to some countries (not Italy) and unlimited internet which helped me to visit the city! Just take more care to cleanliness in the room and gym…

Went to silk road on the 2nd floor of Amara hotel, food was fresh, delicious and spicy! Restaurant was clean and the service was nice. Price not that expensive considered the quality and service.

I have been staying in this hotel now, long term, for over a year. What makes this hotel is the people.
From top to bottom the staff are first class.
Value for money in SG, this must be up there at the top.

The hotel is located in a district filled with food options and is a 10 minute walk from the metro. Rooms are large but dated and need better lighting. Not on par with international 5-star standards.

Hotel room size can also, the main price, win in the traffic is convenient in the subway mouth, around the place to eat a lot of things.

Attended my friend's solemnization by the poolside. The venue was great and the food selection was awesome as well. Toilet was a bit far at the gym area, but the service from the hotel staff were good.

Restaurant staff were lousy coming from a 4 star hotel. Our office booked the high tea set for 60+ people for an office event. 7 of us wanted to take a table for 6 but the Manager told us that the food will be served by the number of placements on the table. She pointed at my colleague and said, there is no placement for her, so she won’t be served any food. Seriously, as the manager how can she say that in front of the customers. And how rigid can you be. If there is not eno…ugh placements then get us another one. After the food was served, I ate 2 pieces out of the 9 items on my plate, before I went for the free flow of tea. I was told by my colleague that the server tried to clear my plate while I was away. Can’t the customers walked off to the restroom or go take their tea since it was free flow? While I was still eating and there 2 plates of food, the server tried to clear the plate from under my arm while I reached over to the other plate for other food, without asking if I still want the plate. I looked at her and told her I am still eating. And she replied “Oh, you still want? ” I was too shocked to remember if she apologized. Were the servers not taught to ask before they clear away the plates? When my colleague looked for a staff for billing, one of the server avoided eye contact and wanted to avoid my colleague. When my colleague went forward, she had no choice but to acknowledge my colleague.

I was there for a dinner at one of the Korean restaurant (Hyang To Gol, 3rd floor). Nice place and ambience. Enjoyed the time spent with friends over there. Toilet cubicle is way too small, hardly any room to turn about. Toilet flush seemed faulty, keep flushing once every min. Leather seats outside the Korean restaurant is run down and the leather is not upkeep. Was about to go for some tea at The Tea Room (ground floor), but was dismay that it's closing at 9pm. Restaurant doesn't provide any complimentary parking for guests.

I went for the hipster night by Element at Amara Sinagpore, their service was good however their food was normal. Food quality can be improved. Environment with good music is good to relax and party with friends!

Had lunch at thanying restaurant. Thai food. Food is good except standard of tomyum soup dropping. It was more sourish than spicy. However, dessert buffet is still was awesome as ever.

Upon arrival I was promptly greeted, my bags taken and I was dorected to check in. Check in was fairly smooth however the concierge did have a little trouble finding my reservation. Once in my room, I found it a little dated in parts (the main bathroom) but others were very modern (the actual shower). The bed at first seemed very firm, not my preference, however I had a particularly good sleep. The view from my room (9th floor) was quite pleasant and was one of a tennis court, leafy green area amongst some tall towers. The included buffet breakfast was nice, however the coffee was better down the road from a cafe. Checkout was quick and seamless, and there always seemed to be taxis available right outside (or perhaps this was just timing). Overall my experience was good and the staff, being polite and helpful, were definitely the highlight.

Friendly staff on arrival, they'll assist you with your bags. Room size is adequate but on the smaller size. Bed was comfortable but quite firm. TV reception was ok to poor, some channels being unwatchable, movie channel was good. Mini bar was limited, although complimentary. Bathroom was very big with great water pressure and a big bath. Water temperature did fluctuate but was manageable. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious. Selection was vast and everything was very tasty. Wi-Fi speed and connection was good throughout. Check out was painless and quick.

Went there for a wedding dinner. The wedding Hall I went to is spacious but it's more of a long Hall rather than a wide one. The staff are very efficient and friendly when approached. Room given to the bride is also spacious and well equipped. Spend a nice time preparing for the wedding despite the tight schedule for the wedding events.

Drop by for some window shopping in the shop annexes while I was around the area. Place is filled with all the necessary shops like ntuc, Starbucks… nice place to hangout or to do your groceries.

Attended a wedding at Amara. Ambience was good, the setting, the mood is very comforting. Easy to get to by bus, car or mrt. Walkable distance. Nearby have many good foods joints and shopping. There's a Starbucks next door too!

Stayed at this hotel for about a week. Pleasant staff, and cleanliness. About 5-minute walk from the nearest MRT station. Good amenities set and spacious bedroom. I have not tried the breakfast buffet, so I cannot rate it. There is also a gym and a pool, which didn't try, but seemed good. There is Maxwell Hawker's center about 10 minutes from the hotel on food, with excellent food choices.

Nice hotel and decor. Great entrance and friendly staff. Excellent location within outskirts of CBD. Have access to nearby shops where you can experience Singapore culture and local eateries. Is located beside a shopping mall as well so convenient to shop for services as well.

The location is good. Breakfast buffet was also good. Room is spacious. But the place is not really well maintained. I did a booking for my official visit through our travel partner, but due to the delay in response from Amara reservation team, had to face a lot of problem. I will not prefer going back to this place in future.

Hotel room is quite spacey but it is not well maintained. We had to change one room because the first room shower stall had mold on the surface. The staff it was difficult to remove and therefore they gave us another room. The management send over a fruit plate later as compliment to apologize. Pool Deck is a bit old and could use some upgrade. Overall, the location is good and convenient.

Stayed here for 3 days 2 nights at their club room. The room is pretty spacious and also offers a great view as the club rooms are at the top few levels. The club lounge itself is also great as you can have meals there while enjoying the view. The service provided in the hotel is also great, especially in the club lounge. Overall, I had a great stay and experience with the hotel.

Good location at an affordable price! Nice place to do a staycation over the weekends!

I would not choose this hotel if you are a vegetarian. It does not cater for vegetarians at all and despite having 6 restaurants cannot manage to serve a vegetarian meal. Breakfast is ok if you are happy with fruit and rolls but you will have to eat lunch and dinner elsewhere. Surprising that such a large hotel has such a limited menu.

My Wife Nancy and I would like to thank all the Management and Staff at Amara for making our recent stay there a pleasure. Everyone was so helpful and considerate from the Door Staff to the Room Service Staff nothing was too much trouble to do and they were pleasant. A special mention to Mark and his staff at the Concierge Desk, we thank you for all your pleasant, professional help and understanding in arranging our Tours and solving our problems. Well done Mark. The Resort is Five Star all the facilities are clean, modern and attractive. The rooms look like they belong in Hollywood very spacious with a large barthroom, with huge shower and bath and a huge vanity area, all done in marble tiles and bench tops, very nice indeed. You are supplied with white pool dressing gowns and scuffs which ads a nice touch when walking to the beautiful Swimming Pool and return, all pool towels are supplied which we found helpful. The restaurants are first class with a great selection of cuisine from all over the world, highly recommended. We found the door persons excellent in their duties to us, we were treated like the President and his Wife. Very nice. I recommend anyone wanting to stay in Singapore to check out the Amara, you won't be sorry. It is very central and most of the big attractions are only a short Taxi ride away. Thank You all at Amara. We Will Return.

Amazing hotel. Slow front desk staff.

Worst experience ever in a hotel and restaurant. Within a 30 minutes span, Elements restaurant manager and staff hustled my party to leave the restaurant (we had to leave before 12pm due to lunch conversion). I had already picked up the check but didn't appreciate the third hustle which came at 11:45am. I told the manager that I had already paid and we still have 15 min. The manager was confrontation and rude, and claimed that I haven't paid. All of the the exchange took place in view of my guest. When I escalated it the issue to the manager (Bennet) on duty in the lobby, the restaurant manager continued to be confrontational and rude. I would never recommend the hotel and restaurant to anyone. The only good part is the pool.

Sorry. Just too bad. Absolutely can find a better one at the same rate in SG.
