Karibia Boutique Hotel

Actually its a fine budget hotel but the room switches are problematic. You can’t individually control each light meaning u can only turn off the master swtich to turn all lights off. The problem is when u turn off master switch even the socket without power and u cant charge your devices.
So if u want to charge the whole room lights need to be switched on. Who designed this?

I would like to write a review for a staff name Naufal 🥰🙏 He is so helpful and patience to my request. We are requesting change a room cause we get a corner last room of the floor.
He is so helpful find another room to meet our expectations and bring us go back to new room.
He Maintained a warm smile and patience the entire time. 🥰
Beside this, the hotel breakfast is delicious and many choices. Really recommend this hotel🤩

The breakfast was also excellent, with a great selection and fresh options each morning.

Great location 3 minutes walk to central mall, restaurants and pubs…. Great choices of breakfast…. And room clean to have a great of sleep. Unfortunately there was some renovation works in the day on going at level 1….

We were in the Caribbean twice with friends on our Indonesian trip for our stopovers in Medan. The hotel is very well maintained, the rooms are clean and the staff is exceptionally friendly and courteous. The team even sent my forgotten headphones to Germany and spared no effort in doing so. Thank you once again. We will definitely be back!

If you need a place to rest after a flight or a trip around Sumatra, this hotel is perfect. Excellent service, stylish rooms, comfortable beds, and clean bathrooms. The restaurant offers delicious Asian and European dishes. There's also a spa, but unfortunately, I couldn’t visit it because they close earlier during Ramadan.
Another big plus is the location—just a 5-minute walk from a major shopping mall and the train station. The only downside is that they have smoking rooms, so if you book late, you might end up in one.
If I ever come back to Medan, I’ll definitely stay here again!

Nice hotel! It was very clean. Breakfast is very tasty with many choices of food. Excellent quality! Every day they have different types of food. The location is nice, it's walking distance to the centre point mall without crossing big streets.
The staff are friendly, helpfull and they speak English.
I would certainly recommend this hotel, especially for foreigners who would like to try many types of Indonesian food.

Good Hotel with clean rooms, how water and friendly staff. Central location near shops and restaurants and railway station, should you take the train to the airport.
Safe, manned parking for my motorbike.
Room service staff very efficient and polite and some speedy laundry was not a problem.
Restaurant deserves a special mention, I had a wonderful dinner, the menu was amazing and I ate way too much 😁 Staff very friendly.

Check-in need to pay additional refundable deposit hence prepare cash in advance.
Room average. Soundproofing not that good. Kept hearing doors opening and closing, knockings on the wall or plug inserted or pulled out from other rooms. Toiletries provided were basic (ie: toothbrush+toothpaste, a small tube of shower gel and a tube of shampoo, 1 shower cap, towels, 1 small roll of toilet paper). I had to call for housekeeping for toothbrush toothpaste set because there were 2 of us but they provided 1 set. Also need to ask for additional toilet roll as the one we had were running out. Dryer not working and housekeeping got a mini one which literally took ages to dry the hair because it was at 400W.
Breakfast starts 6am. Variety not that lot. Cleanliness generally ok. Shower good water pressure but even at max I still hardly feel warm water.
Spa located at level 2. You will need to walk to the “back” of the hotel to take the lift… you can use the voucher when you check into the hotel… separated room for male and female. I went for traditional massage. On point pressure but no disposable brief were given to me. Was told to strip till my own underwear (understood from wife she was given). At the end, staff asked for tip which I said I would love to but this trip I do not carry cash a lot. After treatment usually would expect staff would ask if you would like ginger tea or water.

The most unfortunate aspect of staying in this hotel is the dilapidated state of its room, despite being rated as 4-star hotel. It is clear that the construction material used was not of good quality. The wallpaper was peeled, the wall had yellow stains, the bedsheet had stains that were not treated, hot water in shower is room-temperature at best, the shower head and shower tiles showed hard water deposits, the soundproofing was poor, the upholstered chairs was dusty and showed signs of tearing not to mention the stains again.
Location is good because it’s near mall. The food was delicious, too bad they were not warm even when we went down at 7am (breakfast started at 6am).

The good — Loved our stay at Karibia Boutique Hotel. Can't ask for a better location since the mall is just next door. Customer service is top notch with friendly staff. Food did not disappoint either.
The bad — TV remote was quite dirty. The shower head needs cleaning, it looks mouldy.

Average hotel but location is good near centre point mall so you can go there to shopping and find food. The staff is friendly but the room is old and not clean. I booked executive room but the room is very small like ordinary superior room or deluxe room.

In my point of view, the hotel has very good service, is clean and tidy, and has a breakfast buffet suitable for Southeast Asians.

Room smelt funky! Noone offered to help with bags, only spent 1 night here. Was good location. Restaurant offered good cocktails and dinner was nice, breakfast in the morning was buffet with lots to choose from but really busy was hard to find a seat!

Here’s a heads ups. No issues with location and room. Getting labeled as Malaysian’s when we are not is probably a common thing here but from a hotel concierge, representing the hotel’s image. I am beyond speechless. Nothing against our dear Malaysians, I just don’t think it’s appropriate.

I was pretty impressed with the hospitality given to our experience which I hope the services and care would remain the same whenever I come back to there.
For the location of the Hotel I would say it's pretty strategic and convenient for us to go for any attraction such as shopping mall, bar, dining place which are located right behind the hotel so It would be a really good choice for family that has limited mobility to find for amusement.
The room was pretty okay, despite the first night was a little bit of hell that under mine assumption that the new bedsheets was still wet and newly replacing the sheets which was super uncomfortable for the first 2 night and thanks that It was raining that also made me couldn't sleep because of the water hitting the steel and denting it really hard that was a big minus for me (Even the noise cancelling IEM didn't help)
For the gym facility it was not pretty much amusing but maybe for necessity I guess we need to find our way to work on it despite I would be using it often due to the ventilator didn't work when we start our exercise at 8🥲.
The Breakfast It's pretty good 👍 It has a lot of selection starting from Patisserie and others Nusantara food I would consider it complete satisfaction for me.
I think what makes it so special is the location of the hotel which regarding from amusement place and safety it's pretty decent.
