The only good thing to say is the location was near the Mount Bromo tour and staff were helpful during my short stay there however I would not recommend staying there again if doing the same tour, the rooms were very cold and while I don't expect there to be central heating here, some accommodation could be made for tourist coming in that are not used to this kind of cold weather.
The blankets in the bedroom were not clean as I could smell some odour coming from them. Although the place advertises hot water, the hot water does not really work. You have to make a special request as the hot water does not automatically turn on. You have to request them to turn it on for you.
The staff tried their best to make the hot water run, however the water was just too cold even after the attempts by staff to make the water turn on, I could not take a shower because of this.
The staff may want to equip the rooms with special heaters because the rooms are not warm enough.
Lower your expectations to nothing.
Despite the giod view and owner courtesy, there tons to improve.
Room cleanliness is lacking, damp, mouldy. They didn't change the linens FYI. We noticed for a room before and after, from c/o guests to new c/i guests.
Bathroom has molds and hot water and water itself can be challenging.
Broken doors.
Electric plug is only 1 point.
Trash is not attended, dirty.
Trash bins only available outside.
Towels is thin, worn out and sad looking ones.
This house could be beautifully done when they managed it properly with cleanliness. The house is huge and have potential to be much better!
They attended well the foreigners but not to locals. Sad though!

The accommodation is located in a quiet village by the volcano, and the friendly staff is always ready to help. The rooms are a bit old, but clean, we didn’t see any mold or insects, despite what some reviews mentioned. The food was incredible, a big thank you for the delicious Indonesian cuisine! The duvets were thick enough to keep us warm at night (my boyfriend and I only used one out of two and didn’t need to wear multiple layers, as someone had suggested).
All in all, I had a great time here and would definitely recommend it.
P. S. If you’re worried about anything you’ve read in the reviews so far, don’t be. The staff is always happy to help — just let them know (really, we’ve even been assisted with questions that were related to the entertainment, not accommodation). The altitude, the local economic situation, and the dangerous curvy route mean you can’t expect the same standards as a basic beach hotel. Keep that in mind and you’ll be able to fully enjoy the incredible environment.
