They really need to fix their security system! My car window got smashed at the parking lot of this homestay.
I booked 1 night and just parked for about 2 hours to walk around Ijen street. When I came back, no one had noticed that it happened… the homestay is actually cozy and has many open space, but only 1 staff was on duty. When I asked to see the recording, they said the cctv is not working. The owner didn't bother to contact or meet us directly (one staff said they live in Jakarta, the other said they're coming to the homestay?. Idk which one is true 🤷♀️)
I finally canceled the room and they gave full refund (thank you). I have no complain about the room. It is just unfortunate for me and could be better if the owner had given a better responsibility and attitude.
Until they fix their cctv and provide good security staff, I recommend you to choose another hotel / area to stay.
