The location is great. Walking distance to the blue and rainbow village, nice food options close by.
The room unfortunately was not really clean. The drainage in the shower didn't work so the whole bathroom was flooded.
Someone came to fix it quickly but left us in the bathroom which literally was a puddle of water and our bathroom mat swimming away…
When we had another request — staff again was quick to respond.
We didn't try the breakfast.
Excellent location and the free ice cream is a nice touch. The staff are also very friendly and helpful, but unfortunately that's as far as the positives go.
The pictures posted here of the hotel aren't of the actual hotel (not sure if it's of a different hotel of the same brand somewhere else or just edited to make it look nicer). The room hasn't been deep-cleaned in a long time, there is a lot of dust, scuffs/marks, and mold (especially in the bathroom). Speaking of the bathroom, the water in the shower doesn't drain away and the door doesn't seal. This means that every time we showered the bathroom would get absolutely flooded and it's constantly there as it doesn't dry by the time you next shower.
We had breakfast included but wish we didn't. It was stone cold and when I ordered the chicken it was raw. We decided to skip breakfast for the rest of our stay after that.

The pros: Lovely hotel interior when walking in and around public areas. Room is spacious, smells lovely. No fridge in the room upon arriving which I booked — however reception very quickly got one to my room. Great location centre of Malang. Reception staff very friendly and helpful.
The cons: I feel the hotel itself gives the impression of a more grand look than what the rooms reflect. Considering I booked a deluxe — the cleanliness of the bathroom is shocking. You cannot see through the shower screen, it looks like it hasn’t had a clean in years. Toilet bowl stained dirty. All bathroom surfaces have not had a wipe down with any kind of detergent. All looks very grubby. No hairdryer in room nor any to borrow from the hotel so if you have awkward or long hair that needs drying, this is not good if you are long term travelling and do not carry a hairdryer around. AC can only be felt when sat on the bed opposite it. Wi-Fi weak — struggles to load websites and slow. I was told by staff room service & food can be ordered until 10pm. I therefore packed and got straight for early check out before eating. I tried to order food at 9pm to be told kitchen is closed. I then had to go out late as a solo traveller to find food.
Also — perhaps have door cards for ‘make up room’ & ‘Do Not Disturb’ because I was constantly woke up when I was sleeping from housekeeping ringing the bell over and over until I went to the door.
