Surabaya River View Hotel

I stayed at SRV for 3 nights on the end of September– 1 night in the Superior Room and 2 nights in the Suite Room. The rooms were very nice, clean, and spacious. The staff were friendly and helpful, which made my stay even more pleasant.
Just a small suggestion: it would be great if the TV had more international channels and movie options, as staying for 3 nights felt a bit boring without them. Other than that, everything was already very good. Thank you, and I hope SRV will always remain a top choice for everyone.

We stayed for 2 nights and rented 2 rooms (for a family of 5) without breakfast. The rooms we stayed in were spacious, actually enough for 5 people (with an extra bed), something that we didn't expected before. The location is right in the downtown, making it close to everything. There's a swimming pool and a rooftop cafe with stunning 360-degree views of the city, especially at night.
If you're planning to stay overnight, try booking room number xxxx7 (preferably on the top floor. We stayed in 11007 and 8), as you'll get an extra bonus: a stunning sunrise view. Oh yes, due to the building's layout, you'll get an extra sofa if you book a corner room.
One challenge here is the narrow, uphill access, which takes sometime to getting used to. Cars with low ground clearance should be extra careful. Also, due to limited space, the parking lot uses a two-level, elevated system using hydraulics. Security guards will always assist with parking, and they will keep your car keys. Also perhaps the hotel management can consider to put hanger in the bathroom because there's none. ^^
Overall, we enjoyed our stay and recommend this hotel for those vacationing in Surabaya.

Nice big rooms but need to be updated especially the bathroom areas.
Someone didn't reset the safe so we could not used it and forgot to inform the hotel.
There's a rooftop pool and restaurant at the top. The deep end is about 1.5/6m so be careful and quite slippery at the side.
Breakfast from 6am and decent selection. At the lobby. Staff are friendly and helpful.
If you're driving to the lobby driveway, be careful, it's very steep.

I recently stayed at this hotel and had a mixed experience. On the positive side, the staff were very friendly and responsive. They handled requests promptly and were always polite, which made my stay more pleasant. Another plus is the affordable room rates—definitely a budget-friendly option for travelers.
However, there are several areas that need improvement. I noticed quite a few cigarette butts around the swimming pool area, which made the environment feel neglected and unclean. The drainage system in the room was also poor, causing some inconvenience during showers. Additionally, the car parking area is quite small, which could be an issue for guests with vehicles.
Overall, while the service and pricing are commendable, the hotel should improve its cleanliness and facilities to provide a better experience for its guests.

The hotel was only a small hotel however the service was very good. The breakfast options were varied but mostly local menu. The hotel has live singing on the rooftop and their voices are amazing. Although it is a small hotel, it’s still a comfortable place to stay and rest with great service. The location is also close to Tunjungan Plaza Surabaya, one the the biggest mall or maybe the biggest mall in Surabaya.

Excellent. Loved the rooftop swimming pool. The staff were great. Food was good but being English breakfast was not what we are used to. Could do with more information of sightseeing trips for western tourists. If you want to go on the tour bus only comes on the weekend. Food at night with entertainment on the rooftop was very special. Loved the place.

Pretty hotel with a nice location and friendly staff. Rooms are spacious and there is a very cool rooftop pool.

Lovely comfortable hotel close to plaza for shopping! Could do with more sunbeds on rooftop pool though.

Its a good place to stay in, traffic view, yet not so loud, good rooms, everytime I came back its always sa clean, like fr, the staff helped me a lot when my phone broke down 😂🤣 well, I dont have much else to type here, but i'd say overall its a very nice place.

The hotel is great, awesome service, great breakfast and the rooms are really nice and clean. Only thing is the walls are a bit thin so you can hear your neighbors.

Amazing value for money. The location is close to malls and other tourist attractions. It has been an Incredible experience. The staff are professional and friendly, top notch customer service. They offered us free room upgrade and early check in. Our is clean and bed is soft.

The room is spacious, there are many facilities, there is a clean pool at the rooftop, delicious breakfast, good for workcation or just a holiday, every staff are good and friendly from the front office (e. G. Abet and rara), housekeeping, restaurant. I enjoyed my trip. Thank you.

Went there for the first time for staycation after Eid and had a great stay!
What I love about this hotel:
— Super affordable.
— Strategic location. Just minutes walk from the iconic Jalan Tunjungan.
— I got free upgrade to deluxe and the room was surprisingly spacious.
— Breakfast was great and for the price that I pay I would say superb.
— Complimentary drink upon arrival.
— Decent swimming pool with awesome rooftops view.
— Separate lift to go to swimming pool.
Room for improvement:
— Food is a bit too oily for me.
— To reach the parking lot is pretty challenging (curam banget)
— Local channels only in room.
It's a great value hotel and would recommend this hotel to everyone.

Stayed at SRV between 29 Feb to 03 March 2024. Putri, she manages both the reservations, check-in & also SRV IG.
Hotel location is smacked right in the centre to Jalan Tunjungan, the hotspot for the yuppies of Surabaya. Great food. Atmosphere too.
The toilet is clean, with a bidet which is a must. Alot of people reviewed that the shower is not warm/hot enough. For me, it is right. Just need to run it for a good 5 minutes for the perfect water temperature.
There is a rooftop pool on the 12th floor next to Sky Lites bistro. Bintang lemon is 38K, ceasar salad for 45K. Customer service is excellent across the entire hotel.
Aircon in the room is so cold, which I like it. Surabaya weather is outrageously hot most of the days. Please bring cotton tops & bottoms.
There is a bank, Mandiri within 3 mins walk from the hotel. If you want to buy your oleh oleh, its about a 8 mins walk.
Lastly, I will definitely come back and stay in this hotel. The panaromic views is 360 degrees from the rooftop. Truly amazing views. The pool is 2metres at its deepest.

This was a great hotel. Nice beds. Nice showers and bathroom. We only stayed here for one night but it was very good. They have breakfast included and it was awesome. Overall we really enjoyed our stay here and we would definitely come here again.

Good location, just a 5 minute walk from Tunjungan street, which has a ton of great little cafes and restaurants. Rooftop pool is nice, breakfast buffet was decent. The room however was not an acceptable level of clean for a 3-star hotel — lots of hair and dirt in the corners and along the sides of the room, the sheets and towels both had lots of small stains on them. Did not feel comfortable leaving things on the floor, which was a first for me in a 3-star hotel.

I stayed there for a week. Location is good. Staff is super nice and friendly.
Let me write some negative thoughts I experienced,
1. I did not got hot water for shower, it was just luke warm water, they tried to help me but at last they said cannot do anything as there’s no problem.
2. Wi-Fi was slow.
3. Towels were too much used and need to be replaced.
4. There’s no laundry service at hotel.
5. On checkout I was made to wait 5 minutes so they could check the room (it never happened to me before)
6. Rooms are not sound proof, lots of noise from corridors.
