Bromo Terrace Hotel

The views, the rooms, the overall stay—it was lovely one day stay! The rooms were clean and comfortable. I would suggest improving the lighting in the toilet, as it felt a bit too dim. The food options were delicious—I really enjoyed them! Unfortunately, the TV wasn’t working, which was a bit disappointing as we were hoping to catch some shows, but it couldn't be resolved during our stay. Wi-Fi and data connection in the area weren't great either, but in a way, it made it easier to truly unplug and rest. A great place to disconnect and unwind!

Nice hotel in the highlands of Mt Bromo. Not quite the closest to the Mt Bromo summit as some other hotel options, which meant there is a slightly longer Jeep ascend in the morning if you are visiting King Kong Hill to see the Mt Bromo sunrise and then Mt Bromo after that. This is not a problem as long as you start earlier then everyone else and don't get in the Jeep Jam / Traffic on the single lane traffic going up.
The hotel itself had nice views, but limited dining options within the hotel and surrounds. The included breakfast is not a buffet, you get to choose from a range of options, which are substantial from a size perspective.

The outside looks nice but the inside was not. The bathroom was not nice, it felt like a jail cell and the water was barely lukewarm. There was not AC or heater in the room which is ridiculous because it's pretty cold at night and hot during the day. We're basically shivering through the night. The door of the room was not sealed, it let in air, bugs, and noise. The restaurant was terrible. It took them an hour to prepare a simple meal and the food was terribly bad with super small portion. The breakfast was also not very nice either.

Beautiful resort. At the dining area, you can see the hills and clouds behind. The breakfast is very sumptuous which we enjoy a lot.
The bed is very comfortable. We asked for another bed (triple-share) and there is still sufficient space for us to open the luggage.
However, we have difficulty locking the door (you must somehow push the door a certain angle before the lock will catch), the air con is unadjustable and too cold, and the hot water ran out before you can even finish washing your hair.

The photos on the website do not reflect reality. The outside of the structure is very nice, but the inside of the cottages is really sad and dull. We also suffered from the cold.
The bathroom is absolutely disgraceful, cell style and the water is barely more than lukewarm. The interior needs to be renovated or the number of stars changed.
Comfortable beds and more than decent food. Excellent breakfast. Praise for the staff, very friendly and effective.

Room was spacious and very well-maintained! Staff were extremely friendly and respectful. Only feedback would be to have a stronger water heater.

Rooms got a lot of flies, like those flies that crowd around the light. No aircon/heater in the room. The room was quite cold at night. The hotel gets quite dark at night. Service at the hotel was very good tho. When we reached the hotel, they served us a cup of watermelon juice. The hotel stay also comes with a complimentary breakfast. The breakfast portion was huge. The views around the hotel were amazing as well.
