Joglo Kecombrang Bromo

Rooms were not clean. The wood carving / decorating did not help and gave lots of places for bugs (including big cockroaches) to hide. Room was also very dimly lit.

Enjoyed my stay though it was only a night. Very convenient if the objective is to view the sunrise at Mount Bromo. Room was dimly lit but cosy. Food was delicious. Due to the location, traffic can get pretty busy. If you are a light sleeper than it can be quite disturbing though I was not affected by this. Love the weather: cool hence rooms are not no air-conditioned.

I have only one word to summarise my experience: Horrible.
Live event ongoing (microphones were used) and rooms are not soundproof at all. We couldn’t sleep at all (watch the video attached for your reference). Dirty bedsheets with insects everywhere. Just get another hotel for the sake of your sanity.

I stayed here as part of an Intrepid tour exploring Java. It is close to Mount Bromo and a good base from which to climb to the summit to watch the dawn sunrise. The hotel is fairly basic as is the room, but very adequate if the sole objective is the sunrise. The restaurant menu was ok too.

Great breakfast! Delicious dinner! Super clean and very nice staffs! Beds are so comfortable! And I loved the wooden decorations kind of fancy! Bring cash!

I had a terrible experience at this place. The hotel is located right next to a busy road, with Jeeps and motorcycles constantly driving by. It’s impossible to get any sleep due to the noise. The bathroom was disgusting, with mold and dampness everywhere, and the drain was broken, causing water to pool. There were also holes in the doors, which let in mosquitoes. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. To make matters worse, the bedding was dirty.

Booked under tour package. Located quite near to mount bromo.
On the outside, the interior looks not bad and could take some mountain view. Room and toilet are quite old looking.
Cleanliness may not be the best.
Night can be noisy with vehicles driving by at wee hours.
Bedsheet is a little old as well.
Has hot water too.
Food is tasty! Only like the food here haha.

First impression is good with the hotel’s traditional design, but room is big disappointment.
Very dim lights which makes the room look very gloomy and old. Dusty floor and furnitures, bedsheet has stain.
Worst is the bathroom, low ceiling and also very dim light, no toilet paper but tissue papers only, we have to request from receptionist the toilet rolls. No shower curtain which makes the floor and toilet bowl all wet after each bath. Hair dryer have to be requested from reception counter as well.
Breakfast is good with Indonesian food.
Suggest the hotel owner to change the lights in the rooms to make them brighter, and refurbish the bathrooms urgently.

The staff was great, the service was great, but both towel they gave us should have been burned to ashes, it seems they have mold in them. Ugly towel. Bathroom amenities and facility was not great.
Everything on the bed from the sheets, to the bedcover to pillow to the bed itself felt wet and damp to the touch, so not a very pleasant sleep nor experience.

The service is good and the staff are very friendly. And the most important thing is that the food here is very delicious, maybe because the place where they cook is clean, so the food served tastes very good. And also the hotel has a traditional feel which makes the hotel seem classic and historic. So maybe if I come back again I will stay here again😍😍
