Floating Paradise

Floating Paradise is truly one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed at. This place has something special that’s hard to describe – once you arrive, you simply never want to leave. The location is perfect for relaxing, snorkeling, kayaking, or organizing any activity you could imagine right from the hotel. The hospitality from Astrid and Ben was impeccable, making every moment here unforgettable. Highly recommended!

I’d say there are not a lot of places like this left on this world anymore. The drive on a scooter can be a bit challenging (especially after some rain and in the dark), but it is a beautiful 15 minute ride along the bay and some beaches. If you visit, you must take the boat tour towards the archipelago. We are very thankful to our host Ben, Rama and loved the ibu’s cooking. Terima Kasih and give Kora some pets from us!

If you are looking for an authentic and unique experience on Karimunjawa island, this is the place for you. Great position, in a quiet place. The view from the bungalows is incredible, ideal place for those who are seeking peace and relax. We appreciate a lot the attention that all the staff pays to the environment. Also the food is very good. The strong point of this place is its staff, all the people are super friendly, kind and super available to help! You can have all the comforts, boat tours for snorkeling, motorbike, massages, yoga… 100% recommended if you are looking for good vibes!

Floating is a very unique place en karimunjawa, in the middle of the mangroves with a coral reef just in front of you, really beautiful, friendly staff and really tasty food, is a peaceful place far away from the center.
We did yoga in the sunset and it was really amazing, also in the dark of the night you can see bioluminescence!

We stayed two nights in floating paradise. The room is held in a simple and open manner, it's minimalistic but without missing any comfort. Everything was clean and tidy. In front of the room is a little balcony, where we enjoyed the quietness and the view onto the ocean. Similar, the bar and lounge area is, good to hang out, order drinks or enjoy a delicious meal. Everyone was very friendly and helpful with our needs. The staff will help with renting a motorbike, pickups, information about the islands, boat trips and eventually yoga sessions. In the night we went out snorkeling and in the darkness of the water we saw glowing plankton sparkling like stars in the night sky. It's just magical place surrounded by beautiful nature and an open sky and the bamboo houses on the water bare the perfect island vibe. Thanks to Astrid and Tono for having us in their little paradise.

Beautiful place in the nature with traditional bamboo houses on the water. Perfect for a chilled time of swimming/ snorkeling, reading, yoga etc. The staff is helpful and happy to organise your trips around the islands. The room was clean and comfortable, I would stay again anytime.

We are a family of three staying with Floating Paradise for 4 days. It's been an incredible experience! If you are looking for an off-the-beaten-track and relaxing stay, this is you destination. The owners Tono and Astrid are going out of their way to accommodate you and so will the kind staff. Upon arriving, we received an upgrade to the newly built family room, which features two separate rooms within the bungalow. Kayaking is free and great fun to explore the nearby mangroves, the small island ahead and Bobby Beach on the other side of the laguna. Snorkeling is fantastic here, as the coral reef can be found literally outside the bungalows. On the second day, we went on a boat trip to other islands, where we snorkelled at multiple gorgeous locations and ate lunch on a pristine and remote island — it was such an amazing day! The third day, Astrid took us onto a fun hike which rewarded us with breathtaking views over the island, ending at Bukit Love viewpoint. We also took advantage of Astrid being a certified Yoga teacher, having yoga lessons right by the dock as the sun set over the laguna — you really can't beat this setting. Our final day marked the end of Ramadan, so the entire family went out of their way and took us to town for a fun parade organized by the island community. A truly memorable experience! Thanks a bunch for your hospitality, we are leaving the island refreshed and with much love in our hearts.

Without a doubt the most beautiful guesthouse we have stayed at in more than 9 months of travelling in South East Asia!
Everything about floating paradise is just perfect; the quiet remote setting, the stunning views across the clear sea, islands and beautiful coral, the carefully constructed eco-friendly lodgings, and best of all the amazing staff and owners.
Tono, the owner, is very passionate about the island and environmental issues in general and as such has created this gorgeous guesthouse in harmony with nature. The wooden huts on stilts have been built into the sea floor with zero damage to any coral or other marine life, the guesthouse operates solely on solar power, and all shower products are natural and environmentally friendly.
We had such a great time relaxing here and making use of the free kayaks. There is also beer and food available (veggie and vegan too! ) and if you need anything else the guys are more than happy to help out.
Honestly the only bad thing about the place is the fact that at some point you have to leave!

If I could give 1000🌟for this place I would. We spent here five amazing days. Beautiful bungalows with a balcony and view of the ocean where you can relax more than you can imagine. There is also a small chill zone where you can sit on a very comfortable pillow bags 😎 You can use their kayaks for free and go explore the beaches and corals around! Highly recommend it do it. You can also ask Tono (owner or the staff) to rent a scooter with you can go around the Island and explore it's beauty. You can eat here upon request or go to the town for nigh fish market as well. The staff Rama the cat Cora (she is part of the team) and especially Tono is an amazing people. We had a very nice long conversation with him in the late afternoons. Please note this place is for people who like to be on a remote and quiet place away from the people (no shops, no bar, etc. ). The town is 15 min away by scooter so take it into consideration when booking this place. Be aware! The more you stay the more you just do not want to leave… ❤️

As the name tells, this is absolute paradise. I am writing the review in my last morning in Floating Paradise and the last three days have been magical. The place is very calm, in the middle of nature (literally, it is you, your hut, the sea and jungle). The room opens into the sea and you fall asleep and wake up to the sounds of the sea. It is for nature and adventure lovers. We were super lucky to even see plankton glowing in our last night. Rama and Tono have been amazing, and we highly recommend staying here for those looking for a unique experience in the middle of nature and away from everything.
