Legon Waru Cottage

I can only give Legon Waru 5 stars given their humanity in assisting us during a medical emergency. We felt safe and cared for thanks to the caring support of the staff, who visited us in the local hospital at night and first thing in the morning with groceries, a specially cooked meal and other supplies (the local hospital gets fewer than 5 stars 😂 although their staff too was wonderful). We cannot thank the staff of Legon Waru enough 🙏🏼.
As for the accommodation, it is beautifully situated, comfortable and well equipped. It is a short scooter ride from “downtown” and offers amazing views. The trip downtown is definitely not walkable. The room is comfortable, spacious and the availability of a personal fridge and stove is a real bonus. The breakfast selection is fine and meals (lunch or dinner) tasty!
The beach area is well cleaned every day, but perhaps not the most inviting given the amount of trash that the sea returns to us every day. Not Legon Waru’s fault!
In terms of improvement, if a little TLC is given to the immaterial concept of “vibe”, this place would be even more special. The same goes for a bit of updating maintenance.
Please note the staff doesn’t speak that much English and that they don’t accept card payments.

Best place to stay while experiencing honeymoon, great ambience, romantic setting, astonishing, astonishing view, warm and nice staff, complete facility. I strongly recomendded this place while visiting Karimun Jawa.

The cottage provides a stunning view and if the weather is clear you may catch the sunrise from your balcony or private beach just in front of the cottage. You can snorkling and canoeing, the cottage provides the snorkling gear and canoe for free.
The cottage provides you with a welcome lunch and afternoon snack but don’t expect to much.
The room is spacious with large bed and a sofa bed. The bathroom is also nice with bathtub overlooking the beach and the sea. There is a kitchen with electric stove and they provide indomie with eggs for free.
The downside is the cottage doesn’t have any TV while others now provide a smart TV in the room. There are only few staff in the lobby and restaurant and you can not call them from your cottage because there is no phone in the room. Breakfast is so-so and only provides limited menu. Don’t expect to see a pot of coffee or coffee machine, there is only instant coffee. And though they have private beach, don’t expect to have a clean and pristine beach, there’s a lot of garbage washed to the shore. The cabana and the beach chair looks not maintained well.
Now regarding to the price, In my opinion, the cottage is quite pricey compare to what they provide, but if you’re looking for private beach and stunning view then you’re in the right place.

Beautiful place and the views are stunning. The food options were all local.
We personally would have preferred More options for breakfast. (It’s also not the best for vegetarians)
We stayed for a few days and the difference in costumer service just really depended on who you got each day.
One lady was amazing, unfortunately we only met her on our last days.

We hired a moped for our stay and that was great because you are a bit away from everything here.

Clean room, amazing view, private beach, nice balcony, delicious complementary lunch & night snack, good breakfast, they even provide free indomie in our room, just perfect!

Lovely place and the staff is friendly and helpful. It's location is a little bit secluded which was what we were looking for — to get to the port you will need transport (it's a 10 min drive by car or motorbike). But the staff are happy to arrange motorbike hire, which is great to explore the island.
Bobby beach is amazing and can be reached by foot or by canoe (which you can borrow from the guesthouse).

A wonderful place to stay, with magical views along the palm tree beach and coastline and out on the sea.
The suites are stylish, private, comfortable and perfectly equipped.
Staff are amazingly friendly, efficient and worked seamlessly to make our visit special.
Highly recommended.

The view and the room was very good.
But the breakfast was poor.
3 nights 4days here, everyday we just ate soto.
In one chance I saw the staff recommended pancake for breakfast to a foreigner but not to us.
Is there any different service between asian and European?
I went there with Japanese friends.
The next day I asked about the pancake but they said they don't serve it, just only serve if there are some blonde people there.
We pay the same price but we get different services there.

The best place to stay in Karimun Jawa for sure! Great service from the staff and aesthetically pleasing rooms with a great view. Highly recommended place to stay!

We stayed only 2 nights, but we would have stayed more!
— perfect location : just 5 minutes from the center, market … to eat easily in the cheap warungs or in the night market.
— rooms spacious, cleans, even with bathroom and even with kitchen.
— snack the afternoon included, refill everyday of pasta and eggs.
— incredible views and incredible sunrise.
— canoe available and just 10 minutes from bobby beach and from a lagoon where you can let the canoe and stay alone in a wonderful sea.
— we felt so peaceful, the cottage was full but we didn't felt that at all, as the atmospher is so quiet, with a private beach.
— particular thanks to our host who prepared us a breakfast to take away for our early boat, and they exactly prepared what the kids eated each morning, many thanks for this attention.

My family and I went to Karimun Jawa on May and we stayed in Legon Waru for 3 nights. The room was very clean, the staffs were very attentive, friendly and helpful. I never felt this warmth hospitality before. Breakfast and afternoon snack were delicious. The view of the beach from the restaurant and our room was magnificent. What I miss about Karimun Jawa? It’s Legon Waru. Thank you, we really had a pleasant stay.

And snorkeling space without a doubt, just cruise your way through the beach and find the beautiful creatures living happily. Thanks for reserving the environment around legon waru, clown fishes family with beautiful anemones are safe and sound living around the school of fishes in the corals. Priced at a 1 million rupiahs💸, I believe this is the epitome of value for money when it comes to accommodations! The provided amenities are exceptionally comprehensive; a welcome snack upon arrival, an afternoon treat, a well-equipped kitchenette, and a room that leads directly to the beach, offering a mesmerizing sunrise! 🌅
In the mornings, engaging activities such as yoga and snorkeling are on offer. However, these activities are graciously open for independent exploration by travelers. The hospitality is nothing short of exemplary. Super recommended! 10/10‼️👌
