Summit Newa Regency

It is an old property which is not maintained well at all.
For service, if I could give negative I would have rated it negative. It has been the worst experience ever. They do not have enough people to cater to basic needs. There was an electricity issue at night, no generator was switched on and for almost 3-4 hrs there was no electricity at night which made difficult to sleep n use washroom in dark. There is no response from the staff. For everything asked, they only one reply i. E. No. We had to wait for hrs for table cleaning while having breakfast. In all worst hospitality service experience ever.

The hotel is quite old, but the balcony views are absolutely stunning — a real highlight of the stay.
The breakfast and dinner were tasty and satisfying, with a good variety. The reception staff were polite and helpful, which made the overall experience more pleasant.
If you’re looking for great views and decent food, this place delivers.

Our stay was extremely disappointing. The room was dirty, poorly maintained, and had insects. Water from the washroom was leaking into the room, making it unhygienic and uncomfortable.
We had booked two premium rooms but ended up using only one due to the poor conditions. Still, we were charged for both without any proper explanation.
We were shocked to learn from the receptionist that the hotel is over 30 years old, and sadly, it shows. The infrastructure is outdated, and it doesn’t deserve even a 1-star rating, let alone 3.
Overall, a horrible experience. Would not recommend unless major improvements are made.

Stayed here for only 1 night. Booked a family room for 4. Property is old but well maintained. Staff is very helpful and smiling.
The best is the sunrise view in the morning at around 5 am from their common terrace where you get a great view of Kanchanganga. Worth experiencing it.
The options for dinner and breakfast were also good.
Overall a good stay.

Though the room looks little old and at this price range thats not right, other services are good. Location is great. Services and stuff behavior is also very welcoming.
Food is very expensive here, but for stay, its good, if not excellent.

I stayed at Summit Newa for two days, and it was a truly memorable experience. From the moment I arrived, I was welcomed like a guest at a 5-star hotel—something I had never experienced before. The staff was incredibly polite and always greeted with a smile, making the stay even more special.
As a complimentary upgrade, my room was upgraded, and when I checked in, I was truly amazed. The room was spacious, the bathroom was neat and clean, and the bed was extremely comfortable. The balcony offered a breathtaking view, making the stay even more enjoyable.
The location is excellent, with many hotels, grocery stores, and essential amenities nearby. The only downside is that the food prices are on the higher side, but this is a common concern for vegetarian options across Pelling.
Overall, it was a perfect stay, and I would highly recommend it!

A great hotel in a beautiful location! The staff was friendly and incredibly helpful. The rooms were clean and big, although the property was old and the doors needed some maintenance. The scenery are spectacular. The breakfast buffet and dinner were superb. The chef was friendly and met with guests to discuss suggestions for improvement and food reviews. I would definitely return.
