Nice place. Very near location to metro.

Not worth, Not value for money. It’s way expensive. Food is not that tasty it’s average.
I think it’s cost for ambiance and paintings. For V day dinner they charged as heavy as 10 K per person for 5 pieces of appetisers, 1 bowl of soup, 5, main course of different curry (out of which only 2 are good) and bowl full of rice and finally Some dessert, which is did not like. Also they charge service charge with GST, which is illegal.

Just checked out of the imperial after a 2 night stay. It was the most awful and horrible experience I've ever had. The house keeping staff rang the bell twice in the morning but I was fast asleep so did not open. He then entered the room using his key without my permission. I complained about this to the housekeeping staff — Mr Vikas who did not even apologize and blamed me only for not switching on the DND sign. Then the exact same thing happened in the afternoon, when a person rang the bell thrice contuniously as he wanted to check the mini bar, a few hours before my checkout time. Again I was fast asleep and couldn't answer the door, so he used his key and came inside my room. The Imperial Staff thinks they have the right to intrude into the guest's privacy without my permission. My wife was really traumatized by this experience and felt very insecure. The hotel gave us a feeling that they can open our door anytime without our permission. Mr Vikas — the first floor manager is an extremely unprofessional and inhospitable person. Mr Chetan — Lobby manager — after my wife complained, promised to get back to her on this issue, but never did. disclaimer — switch on the dnd sign at all times to feel secure in your room. zero raiting for this so called presitigious hotel. highly recommended not to book this hotel.

My favorite hotel in Delhi. It I have never, in 25 years going to Delhi I’ve not stayed anywhere else. Great pool, breakfast buffet, a variety of restaurants and cuisines. Large rooms and luxuriously appointed bathrooms.

The Imperial is not what it used to be in the earlier days. It still exudes an old world charm with classy chandeliers, long ceiling fans and decor that hints at subtle royalty. Delicious food with special mention for chicken preparations and deserts like phirni and chocolate pudding; definitely worth a visit.

Me n my husband visited imperial hotel in august month 2018… hotel is very beautiful. Clean. Staff is very helping nature. Rooms r so nice. We feel so comfortable. Its hygenic… morning breakfast was awesome. Hotel lobby area n layout is beautifully decorated… good vibes… I loved it. Spa is excellent. Excellent service n decor.

Bugs in rooms/bathrooms, electric plugs not working in rooms, restaurants cheat the groups on total number of drinks, rude porch and bell desk staff etc. Plus is the food quality in all restaurants so chefs to be commended. I have always found front office staff helpful but they can only do that much. Place needs serious renovation with a few managerial and lower rank staff heads rolling who take their long held jobs for granted. So called ‘the best hotel’ in the centre of Delhi gives a poor image of the country.

I had visited this beautiful hotel during an educational event for us students hosted by the Irish Embassy. The event was held in a big Ball room. The staff was helpful and managed the event pretty nicely. The food was good too, especially the sea food. The whole vibe of the place is cool.

The Imperial hotel in new Delhi is providing excellent services. Good space for parking. All the staff members having good nature. They do guest welcome very properly. Restaurant service Available here with tasty food menu. This is situated in center of Delhi so this hotel is good option for visiting monuments. I recommend to all stay once here definitely you will love this hotel. Thanks to The Imperial hotel for such type services.

Charming place, right from the gate to the foyer, everyone was very welcoming! Truly hospitable staff, who took great efforts to make us comfortable. Had an amazing dining experience at The Spice Route, service was awesome and truly memorable. Soothing music, great food, excellent ambience, friendly service, amazing architecture and orchid decorations, plus countless historical paintings! Strongly recommended!

After a rather gruelling 4 week road trip across the top of India from Srinigar to Leh to Manali and onto Shimla we were more than ready for a bit of luxury. And The Imperial absolutely provides you with every comfort. The beds are wonderfully comfortable, the pool is a welcome relief after a hot day out and about and if you cant find something totally mouth watering at breakfast you really have a problem. The whole place is full of nostalgia, in fact it takes ages just to walk to your room as there is artwork lining all the walls and they are so interesting. The location of this Hotel is conveniently just a short walk to Connaught Place where there are plenty of restaurants and shops/bazaars to keep you occupied. In short if you have a bit of spare cash at the end of your trip this place is great to unwind and relax before your journey home.

Part living museum; part luxury hotel; part a slice of history preserved. Imperial at Delhi is all that and more. One of my most favourite places in all the world; the place has; despite the changing times struggled but managed to keep the original spirit of the place alive for at least as long as I have known it for 3 decades of more. A much changed Delhi, with jazzier tastes and multiple new hotels have certainly changes the landscape of eating and staying out, but this hotel remains one of the crown jewels in Delhi; if not THE premier place. A very fine sense of unobtrusive refined hospitality continues to be the hallmark of higher level luxury and it is so here. There is no in your face fake cheeriness but you are left alone to be at your comfort lounging around one of the many areas in the hotel; but at the same time a helpful hand appears within fraction of a moment if you so needed it. Wandering around this 100 years hotel bedecked with prints and paintings even older to the beginning of British contact with India is a treat in itself. The heritage rooms are out of a Merchant Ivory film decked with enough art in the spacious chambers to make it feel like a guest room in a well lived in Manor house and not a hotel room. There is genuine wood (not board) decor and finish and a marbled halls of the quality that has long since been exhausted by human greed. One can go on and on; but it makes sense to travel to Delhi just to stay here for a couple of days.

One of Delhi's most iconic hotels, they have maintained a great charm in the heart of Delhi. It has a blend of luxury, history to provide a great experience as the gateway into India. The staff is brilliant, jus tout of your face, yet right there when you need them.

It is a new and luxurious colonial-style hotel. Large and very comfortable rooms. Food and breakfast very varied and of quality.

High tea served by professional and attentive staff at the Atrium. Walk-in (without reservation) at 16:30 on a Monday afternoon and accommodated without a problem. Venue is cool, calm and relaxing with an air of geraniums and sound of gently bubbling fountains. The service was without fault, presentation excellent. Vegetarians are of course catered for and both veg and non-veg assortment of items for high tea were very good indeed. To set the balance, the strawberry jam accompanying the scones was great however what presented as 'cream' most definitely wasn't so, unexpectedly, this let down the repast. Also, a minor adjustment was requested for cold rather than hot milk with the tea, hot being the decidedly non-English default position. Reviewers elsewhere have commented on the order of service too… oddly scones are presented first… so just sit tight! High tea for two (and two for tea) Rs 3, 540.

Iconic hotel in the heart of the city. Besides opulence of the hotel what takes my heart away on each visit are the gallery walls adorned with paintings documenting India's colonial past. The architectural brilliance and cultural features of the era gone by are depicted. The collection of the hotel is rich and it organises art tour for guests. Must avail.

Absolutey amazing — we were not staying as guests but visited the 1911 restaurant for some drinks and cake. It was brilliant — super friendly staff and very interesting location. Obviously at top end of cost (£7 cocktail / £2 cake) for Delhi but the service and quality match it.

Amazing hotel with superb service. Just the quite oasis in the middle of hectic New Delhi that is what you need. Stayed there for 4 days. This will be my hotel when I come back some day.

The Imperial Delhi last year we had the luck to travel to Delhi shortly before the start of the monsoon and to stay for a week at the Imperial. This was a wonderful experience, especially as the hotel is not fully booked at this time of year and is therefore very quiet, which underlines the charm and character of the house.
The Imperial offers discreet luxury, which is only realised by the very friendly, unobtrusive staff. The food in the various restaurants is excellent. The savings area is a dream and makes you come back to rest after a day in Delhi. The rooms are large and the beds very comfortable. Only the daily overdrawing of the beds made me a little disturbed for environmental reasons.

A real museum, the place is sumptuous and the staff rider, a budget not negligible but that is worth it widely, I highly recommend.

One of the best 5 Star facilities. The long corridors are full of exotic paintings and photographs which depict the history of hotel Imperial. Spice Rout restaurant is exotic. The Restaurant Manager Rohit has exhausting knowledge of various sections of the restaurant and the paintings displayed there. One must give him a patient hearing before you settle down for your meals.

The Imperial boasts of transporting you back to the colonial times. Their restaurant Nostalgia, especially, promises to take you back in time. True to their words, they did make me nostalgic about all the food I remember eating! Because let's face it, the restaurant service staff has no interest, whatsoever, in coming and taking your order. And even when they do, they literally transport themselves back in time to the Raj era and get food from there. Restaurant managers are s…een quarrelling with each other while a hungry guest waits in anticipation… If that was not enough, we were even subjected to the site of a rat running around in the restaurant. I was secretly hoping that it was Ratatouille and that he was running back into the kitchen to make our food instead of infesting it! Buck up Imperial… and if you can't, stop treating yourself as the luxury hotel that you advertise yourself to be…

An historic hotel and has excellent facilities. The ballroom is quaint which has old fans and chandeliers. The paintings of historic figures on the walls are also something to look forward to. The food is also very good. Parking is also available which is currently free for guests which for this location is extremely useful. It is an incentive for conducting events.

I have stayed at all the top hotels in Delhi. This is far and away the best. For a hundred reasons: It's not a chain. It's boutique. The food is world class in its three restaurants (Thai, Italian, and Indian) The staff, especially the concierge and airport pick up crew, are over the top (The teams that do the rooms are also great) The gym, spa and pool are wonderful. You can play indoor squash. Great care has gone into the historic art in every corner of the building. Inside, the hotel seems to be able to mitigate the horrific air pollution that is in Delhi all year long and it has a settled and peaceful atmosphere. I don't like to post such a good review because it is very hard to get a room here already, but if you want the best this is it.

We only had two nights here but WELL worth the stay. The elegance of the hotel, the gracious nature of the staff and the food in the Italian restaurant was fantastic, as well as the rebound Spice Route. The spa was lovely, the room well appointed and the bar was the best in India! We loved it. I very much enjoyed breakfast too. All in all, GREAT!

The Imperial Hotel is a well located historic hotel in Delhi. The rooms are comfortable as long as your room doesn't face the atrium. Ask for garden facing rooms if you want to enjoy your room. Their Eastern food restaurant, Spice Route, is terrific, although pricey but worth making a table reservation for dinner. You can enjoy eating in their verandah or garden. Although the hotel is beautiful and has the feel good old world charm, This is probably one of the better hotels in Delhi and I would definitely recommend it.

This place has a different kind of calmness and warmth. Though it is not a very big hotel but you will find everything in terms of comfort here. Situated on Janpath Road in Connaught Place, it is ideally one of the best locations to stay for tourists and travellers. It has a good scenic view, great gardens, and excellent indoor decor and ambience. Food is another attraction point.

Have spent many a Sunday afternoon having brunch at this hotel. Like many of the other reviews this hotel is an elegant throwback to the 1930’s with white glove service. The hotel decorations are by themselves worth the visit. The rooms are large and spacious and elegantly decorated. This is a recommended stop on your tour of New Delhi.

The real epitome of Luxury and grandeur. This hotel is one of the finest in India. Situated at the heart of our bustling capital, it is very easy to reach from International Airport and Railway station. Metro connectivity is at walking distance. Rooms are chic and classy. A visitors must stay place whenever travelling to Delhi. Food is contemporary Indian and Continental is just mouth watering. Night clubs are also at a walking distance and famous Janpath area for street shopping is at a stone throw away.

An extremely elegant hotel from the 1930's with fabulous dining options, rare art that greets visitors as one walks down the corridor and am sure it's the same for the rooms at the hotel. The people who are there to receive you and look after you know the area/restaurant/ bar that they are posted at and make the visit a memorable one.

I visited the Spice Route at the Imperial for dinner. The place does right by its name — it has a plush, royal atmosphere. Great food, great staff!

One has to visit the hotel to see the majestic aura the place has. The place is simply amazing.

The entire facility is beautiful, and the staff was amazing. The food was great too. Breakfast was almost overwhelming with the amount of variety. There wasn't a single thing I would have changed.

The decor and ambience of this place is simply beautiful and it truly is a great place to spend time in. There is a huge collection of paintings and pictures that adorn the walls of this restaurant. All of these, and the restaurant name itself, pay an ode to Delhi and the fact that in 1911 it became India's capital. The service is very polite and food is mouthwatering. 1911 is a must go for everyone who loves good food and enjoys it.

There is nothing special about this hotel. Stayed for three nights in October 2014. Indian rupees 19500 were taken from my bank card at the time of booking, that was not adjusted at the time of check — out. This money has physically gone out of my account to Imperial hotel account and was not a authorisation only. Imperial Hotel has still not refunded that money. In their reply, Hotel staff tells me its a routine an they take money from each customer. To me its a Scam? They don't deserve to be labelled as five star deluxe hotel. Realistically its a two star SCAM HOTEL.

Old world elegance, a reminder of British colonialism in Delhi. Top-notch, white glove service, but amazingly without any stuffiness. Gigantic rooms with all the trimmings. Staff are professional and polished, but strive to add that little personal touch — like sending up a small personalized cake when they learned we were celebrating an anniversary.

I found The Imperial a magnificent and unique hotel. Their staff was supportive and responsive. Swimming pools very clean and beautiful. I would advise everyone to stay in this luxury hotel.

It was definetly a luxurious and memorable stay. I would recommend The Imperial hotel, Delhi to all my friends. Their Staff was very friendly and helpful. Overall excellent experience.

We had a nightmare experience with this hotel. First they gave us a wrong room, then when they switched us to a room that we requested they had a festival that was taking place on the lawn right outside our room so we were not able to sleep. The next morning our driver was expected at 9:30am and I informed the desk. We waited for 2 hours in the lobby and when we went to the concierge I mentioned our driver's name they said yes he has been here for awhile. I asked how long he had been there they said maybe 1/2 hour to an hour — he arrived at 9:15am and we finally got out of there 2-1/2 hours later because no one was thoughtful enough to inform us that he was waiting there. They kept saying "sorry" but there is no excuse for incompetence. Since we were late we missed our Taj Mahal — Agra tour and had to stay an additional night in Agra. Furthermore they charged a perfume on my credit card, which when we checked out was put (charged) on another credit card. When I asked the lady why she charged my account she said not to worry the charge would be reversed. They ask for a credit card upon arrival. Guess what, they never reversed the charges so now I have to call the hotel to straighten out this mess. They treated us as if they were doing us a favor despite the fact that were the customer paying a lot of money for this pathetic experience.

Stayed there for the first time. What made the impression at the reception were the words: "Welcome home! " That's a WOW factor for me! Great ambiance, great personnel! Thanks for the stay.
