Hotels in Alta Verapaz with a Pool

The place was great while I was there. The first night was actually so quiet, there were more employees than guests. It’s a very pretty area along the river, great for relaxing.

The staff was friendly and the location was amazing! Does not have a kitchen but they sell coffee and food. Also the rooms are a bit musty smelling.

Our stay at Greengo’s Hostel in Semuc Champey was absolutely amazing. It was honestly the highlight of all the hostels we stayed at during our trip!

We had a great time at Greengo’s. The hotel is very beautiful and the people who work there are very nice. We enjoyed all tours and one of our favorites was the chocolate tour.

Paniste is easily my favorite hotel in Las Verapaces as we call both Alta and Baja Verapaz, amazing attention, clean spaces, nature all around and fantastic food, not only a Hotel but a destination

Beautiful place! very well kept, yummy food at the restaurant, friendly staff, several things to do like play ping-pong, swim, climb the tower, and much more!

Amazing hostel in the heart of the Guatemalan jungle. I felt at home as soon as I got here. The dorms are insanely clean + comfy. The meals are well priced, nourishing, and home cooked.

If you’re looking for a beautiful escape in nature, this is the perfect place.

I have stayed and visited this hotel for the last 30 years. Nothing has changed. Beautiful, unique and affordable prices.

Good small posada close to the biotopo del quetzal. Friendly owner and staff. Good restaurant with reasonable prices. Locals stop here to eat. Rooms are well furnished but really really humid.

Great experience at the Hostel El Portal. The room are clean, the location is excellent, really the the entrance of Semuc Shampey.
The food is around 70Q — 120Q.

Fine! Good value: cheap price for a basic room. Location really close to the entrance of Semuc Champey, pickup available from and to Lanquin. Music is sometimes a little hard in the evening.

Easily one of the best hostels we stayed in in Central America!

This place is pretty epic! Certainly lives up to its reputation in my eyes. The rooms are comfortable, the food at the restaurant is great. The bar has happy hours and the staff are super friendly.

Gab Makes all the difference!

I spent three nights here and have absolutely no problem recommending it. The staff were very helpful, and responded quickly to my questions before my arrival. The atmosphere was casual and clean.

A bit rustic, but a good place to spend a few nights. We weren’t disappointed. The food isn’t great but it wasn’t bad either. The tour they offer was amazing. They have free parking.

Our stay at Vista Verde in Lanquín was absolutely wonderful. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, always ready to help with anything we needed.

The service was very good, the bed was fantastic. The overall decor was very nice. My only complaint was there was a lot of noise, particularly late at night, from the parking lot.

The place was very secure had security guards to tell you where to park.

For the area, this about the best you can get. No A/C, fortunately that was not a major issue. The weather cooperated. A bit spread out and old but well maintained. Restaurants were good.

Room was clean, decor was nice. Got a good hot shower. Only issue was the shower height. Hit my head with shower plastic corner couple times.
