I stayed here for 2 days at short notice. At first it seemed nice, a helpful staff member, the room was fine and everything, free Wi-Fi in the lobby (but not the rooms), but then the next day the staff were different (young females) and they were less helpful and easily surprised. There is a kitchen area integrated with the lobby but if you go to use any of the appliances or open the fridge this is a problem and they tell you it is not self-service. How am I supposed to presume it is not self-service when it is integrated within the guest area/lobby? I think your experience here is very dependent on who is staffing it at a given time. (Additionally, it was annoying being woken up by the cathedral bells early every morning but this is of course not any fault of the hotel. )

Loved it! Had a nice view of the cathedral from the room and when stepping outside there was a fantastic view into the tracks of the train station from above. Staff was extremely polite. Rooms are being renovated right now.

View of the cathedral and great location… However they have bad Internet connection (and with limits) and I was taken care of by a boy a little more sympathetic than Hitler.

Clean, comfortable and nice hot shower with good water pressure. The staff were polite. There was tea and coffee available to order at the check-in counter but I would suggest buying it in the train station as it is much cheaper there in the convenience store.

Very good hubicacion in front of the cathedral and a step from all the tourist. If you are travelling by train you have a direct entrance.

The hotel is very accessible from the train station and the Cologne Cathedral is also right there. The rooms are also clean, only the room is quite small.

I was on business and for a few nights. Good location Excellent cleanliness and care, as standard Ibis. The rooms are a little small, but considering the context (central location! ) You should not complain.

A hotel directly at the Cologne Cathedral. Wonderful if you are just a weekend or for training in Cologne. Simple and clean.
The disadvantage is that you hear the bells of course very loud people.

Loved it! Can’t get much closer to the Dom and the price is affordable for all to stay. The Dom and everything else is right outside your door. Room was very clean and we had everything we needed. The front desk staff was very helpful and patient with all my husbands questions. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

It's a decent place. The view and location is prime! Amenities and facilities are what you'd expect at any budget hotel.

Breakfast was great and rooms were comfortable. Would of been nice to have hot drinks available in the room.

Great value Hotel. Very nice and attentive staff. Especially attentive and always good on the Lady of Breakfast (she has been working since 23Jahren in the hotel Industry) The breakfast is very wide, there is even a waffle bar (fresh warm waffles) The location is Perfect. Entrance directly next to HBF one less because of the cleanliness in the bathroom, it needs to be worked on…

Good location close to main station, Dom and City. Rooms are clean IBIS standard. Staff is friendly and competent. Rooms on 4th floor are quieter while window lookout is to a roof. Recommended for a 2-3 Nights Stay on business or as tourist.

The location is very convenient for people who travel by train. I didn't expect the 2 star hotel to have such a clean and comfortable level. The breakfast buffet was very good and the room was clean. The Christmas arrangement in the lobby is also very warm. It's a famous cathedral and the Christmas Fair is fun! Museum Ludwig is only 300 meters away! The point is that the price is really cheap. If you live only one night, you can stay here.

Great location in the center of the city, despite being pretty much inside the station you don't hear any noise. Standard price for the city.

Had two great nights here. Really good hotel. Weird that at night you have to enter via the station, cos that doesnt feel much safer than the square.

This is my favourite hotel in Cologne. It's not the cheapest or quietest but it is the most centrally located. In spite of being located immediately adjacent to the train station and the Dom, the rooms are quiet. They are also air conditioned, spacious and pleasant. The staff is friendly and the breakfast buffet is better than the typical German breakfast fare.

Nice staff, very helpful! Not a lot if amenities in the room. Just soap and towels. No wash clothes or hand towels. Very close to Christmas markets and No train noise even though right next to the terminal!
