An amazing building with many cool and subtle details to discover. I appreciate the atmosphere, the calm, the smooth car parking, the spacious and fresh room in modern style. The breakfast was absolutely amazing. All at a good price. Affordable. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a quality conscious hotel in Hamburg and wanting anything but the traditional hotel chains. Highly recommended.

Modern and beautiful hotel. Only slept there for 1 night. Breakfast was superb und the room was very well equipped.

Beautiful modern room with good facilities. We really liked the nostalgic schoolhouse flair with lots of nice details. The versatile and always complete breakfast buffet was a force. The staff is courteous and always friendly. With closed windows, there is hardly anything left to hear from the street and the planes. The proximity to the official bus — and subway stops allows you to get there without a car. We will be happy to be a guest at this hotel again on the next visit to Hamburg.

Very nice hotel but unfortunately the dust wipe in the upper areas is not taken very seriously. Only 1 times a month according to the management. Follow thick flakes. Very unfortunate for a 4 star house.
For dust balergickers absolutely unsuitable and not recommended.
That's why only 3 stars.

Very good hotel. Us room was super ~ clean ~ the bathroom great ~ beautiful high walls.

Smokers must be at least two thousand flakes pay if you get caught in this non-Smoking hotel. I think it's good. Tobacco smoke is needed in the Hotel. But everything else from the Finest. Top designed, no matter where you look. The Breakfast was an absolute stunner. Every little thing fit. Example chocolate, which has super tasty hot. Staff also great, always friendly and thoughtful. At the next visit to HH, I know now where I will again spend the night. Thanks for the nice time there!

Madness hotel. From the ambience, to breakfast, the location and the décor. Super nice staff. This will be the only hotel in Hamburg that I will only visit in the future. Can I really advise everyone. Five stars are too few. We'll definitely be back. Greetings from Cologne.

I've been there twice. Very important to me, there is a parking lot. The rooms are nice. The breakfast is top. The nearest subway station is only 5 minutes away. Staff very nice, at the bar you can have a good drink, cocktails 6.50 euro.

Very nice hotel. Breakfast buffet is very varied. The room was clean and modern. Was cleaned daily. Bus stop is right outside the door and the subway station is a 5 minute walk away. The staff were all very friendly.

We stayed 2 nights at the Hotel Volksschule & were very impressed. The breakfast was delicious, the staff very friendly, the room cozy, clean & modern & a free parking right in front of the hotel. All in all definitely recommended:-)

Beautiful large enough rooms. Good breakfast. Free parking right next to the house! Cheap transport links with the metro. We would come back at any time.

Old elementary school converted into a hotel. I think it has been very successful. Beautiful rooms, everything very clean, the beds were very comfortable. Breakfast, which was very good, we took in a nice dining room. All in all, we had a very nice weekend.

Very beautiful building, very tasteful and characteristically decorated. Everything is very clean, the breakfast offer is excellent, the staff is very accommodating; All employees at the front desk should treat customers with equal care and not be overbearing behind the counter.

Great 4 days over Christmas. Very stylish, very clean. Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast very rich, in a cosy atmosphere. Every day 2 small bottles of water per room included (rare in a hotel). Upscale equipment at fair prices. Loving amenities throughout the hotel. Free parking included. 4 stops (7 min) to the Centre/Central Station. Good location! All but satisfied. Our number 1 for travel to Hamburg!

Nice old-new design, clean and kind staff. But at 11 am of our checkout day, they started calling us a couple of times to checkout even though we have told them that we'll do a late checking out at 12

Very nice 4 stars business hotel with great rooms. Breakfast choice could be improved when compared to other hotels in the same category, but still good enough for the average guest. Great value for the money, though.

Very pleasant ambience, super inexpensive and close to the city by metro from the stop "Rauhes Haus", great and versatile breakfast buffet and very pleasant, young team. Unrestrictedly recommended!

One of the worst experiences I have had in a hotel. Rude and unhelpful staff, especially the receptionist. Room dark and inhospitable. Bed, had a nylon under sheet, cheap duvet and no air conditioning. This combination made the bed very hot and uncomfortable. Opened window and you get the road noise from nearby main road and supermarkets, which is accross the road. Could not sleep for two nights. Breakfast varied but if poor quality. Staff could not care less about issues. Only interest was whether the bill was pre paid. Will never set foot in this joke of a hotel again.

Modern hotel with clean and large rooms. Smart storage solutions in the room and good breakfast. No AC in the room though.

Beautiful hotel. Decorations as a high school. The room is big with a high ceiling which made me feel more relaxed. The bathroom is clean and well equiped. Personals are friendly and helpful. Bar opens all day round. Easy to access by car.

It is a somewhat secluded site of the center but cosy. The hotel is very nice with a nice and spacious breakfast.

The rooms are very very nice. A bit on the small side but very well decorated. Wood and brick everywhere. Well lit. Service was fine, good but not remarkable. A but on the expensive side. Good for what it was, would stay again.

Excellent quality of the rooms, is an old school reformed separated by rooms the halls are long and very good finishes very modern and minimalist.
Inside the hotel we find a restaurant a reception and an exquisite treatment on the part of the staff.
It is located 4 stops from Hamburg Central Station.
Highly recommended if you like good attention in the hotels.

Modern Hotel with a special Charm (former elementary school), and a small, atmospheric Bar. The Breakfast buffet is rich (but still without a freshly squeezed O-juice ;) ). To foot one is in 5 min. At the next U-Bahn station.

Very nice stay. Great room with extra bed and spacious bathroom. The Design concept appealed to us and fit to the building. And the Breakfast buffet is very diverse.

Very good, the room was excellent and the location, while different, was still very handy due to being close to the U Bahn. Brekkie was also excellent.

We had a basement room for one night; we were just in Hamburg to check out some stuff and move on to a family get together elsewhere. We would definitely recommend staying at Hotel Volksschule. The service was fantastic, and the room was perfect for our needs. It was small, but it was well appointed and clean. We had no intention of using the room for more than rest. There was natural light due to the deep, wide window well. Breakfast was great, and included in the price. There is a subway station not 5 minutes walk away giving direct access to downtown. We will be staying there again if we visit Hamburg in the future.

Room in brick look, with parquet floors and light-flooded bathroom. The best in the Hübbesweg compared to the net-market-Parking in the courtyard, guests of the Best Western Hotels mostly everything is covered. To the centre of the car is needed or Taxi, although only about 9 kilometres, approximately 25 minutes away schedule. Breakfast in the former teachers ' rooms: spacious, stylish and with great food on offer. The ticket system is a Wi-Fi Code did not work, however, in the case of Android devices (possibly Firewall Router-the parameters of the problem).

The Hotel Volksschule excited by a consistently stylish furnishings and a very nice atmosphere. The Breakfast is excellent and plentiful for every taste will find something, also is constantly prepared fresh and served. The staff is friendly and helpful — even when we have not needed a lot of help, but Check-in and Check-out were very pleasant. The Lighting at night is also worth seeing-and not only outside, but also the corridors. The rooms are not quiet, very busy roads, which could disturb the sleep and the mattresses of the beds were new and of high quality. The U-Bahn Station is within walking distance in about 4 minutes, which is absolutely acceptable. I can recommend the Hotel consistently, I felt very well taken care of.

We had great 3 nights at the hotel school. The breakfast buffet is very rich and everything is fresh. TOP! We certainly come again.

Top Hotel, price / performance top.

The hotel was and old school and renovated in Form of a hotel. It has clean rooms, nice personnel and a rich breakfast buffet. It has free private parking and about 2mins walking distance to the subway.

Close to metro system, with private and cost less parking, room is lovely, beauty and cozy.

Awesome building, pretty rooms and nice neighbourhood with the metro very nearby. You are in 10 minutes in The city center. The breakfast is very nice.

My comment comes in and admit that like to, the Hotel unseen. But I had such a inappropriate phone conversation with the management with verbal confrontations which is both unprofessional and extremely rude as well. And simply hang up because one of the reasoning guide is missing, which is very strange. That's never happened to me, when I with my clients-mates were around… I had just about the HRS App and booked me without it during the booking process to notice in the date missed. On my direct call to the room to get to the actual date for tomorrow rebook, what does not work as it is fully booked, which of course is my bad luck. However the Hotel shows no willingness in the room to cancel. Although the room due to the booking errors from the 16. — 18.12. Posted today and is just the 01.12. Is. This is very Kundenunfreundlich, because I would have the Hotel the images like as Stammhotel for my regular business trips to Hamburg. A very nice Hotel, very clean, great Breakfast and very nice staff. U Bahn to the City centre in 5-10 minutes within walking distance to reach. A star I prefer but because of the very hard mattresses. Unfortunately, in this Hotel only used this.

We booked a double room excluding breakfast over the internet. It's brand new and original, Nice staff and free outdoor parking. However the rooms are very small, especially considering it's supposed to be a four star hotel. To reach city centre you can take the subway for some stop which is expensive or, to stay in the city only a few hours, it can be convenient to use their car. It seems exaggerated the cost for breakfast, you can do it at Lidl in front for five times less.
