We had booked from 22. — 25.10.2021. When we arrived on 22.10.2021 around 15:00 h the hostel was locked, it burned only an emergency light. The given telephone number was not assigned, the headquarters in Berlin exhausted itself in an endless waiting loop. There was no prior information, e. G. By e-mail, that the house was not ready for occupancy. The a&o Hostel Hamburg HBf was occupied, but the friendly and helpful staff arranged accommodation at the a&o Hostel Hamburg City for the booked period.

Were rebooked without consent to Spaltingstr. — Rooms dirty and not cleaned for 4 days. Television only some third programs. Bar only open sporadically.

We would be rebooked to the A&O HH Hauptbahnhof. There we were for the 4th time, otherwise mostly satisfied, we now had to realize how extremely spoiled it is there. The beds are tough, in the elevator you are afraid of falling, the towels are frayed and too thin. You don't see anything of "hotel", actually only to be used as a hostel.

For overnight stay perfectly sufficient.
Rooms functionally furnished, clean.
Breakfast buffet sufficient.
For those who do not make any special demands, this hotel is recommended.

We were last weekend at the A&O-Hotel "Hammer Kirche" in Hamburg and we liked it here. The staff are very friendly and helpful, the hotel is very well located, you can reach the city centre in 5 minutes at the metro stop "Raues Haus" or "Hammer Kirche" and from there you can reach the city centre in no time. If we were in Hamburg, we always went to the A&O-Hotel "City", which is also good, but at the Hammer Church there is also a parking space to rent according to availability, although not absolutely necessary, as there are enough parking spaces to change. There are shopping possibilities in the immediate vicinity and if you don't want to go somewhere for dinner in the evening, you can do it very well in the "Schweinske", about 10 minutes on foot. Also, you get from here very well and quickly into the green.

Very well hotel and not so expensive.

Price/performance was great, the rooms clean and the staff was very nice. The breakfast is quite manageable, but still worth its money. In short, a successful stay, gladly again.

Not in the city center but close to ubahn, worth for the price.

I know so many A & O Hotels, Hamburg Hammer Church, Berlin Lehrter Strasse and Weimar I like the best thing so far. This one is smaller, but that's why everything is a little more manageable and not so crowded. We were Pentecost 2018 there. The Design of the Furniture is kept dark here compared to the others, I like very much. Nice Staff, pleasant Breakfast room and good Breakfast in value for money.

Our experience with A & O is rather negative. All right, the room was big enough and the blinds great for darkening. The breakfast went so far, a pity that it takes place in the cellar. That's not exactly great. But what can't be done at all is cleanliness. Dust mice under the bed and in the bathroom. The toilet glasses full of stains. The TV (Mini) adventurously connected via several 3-fold sockets. Even if you certainly have to cut corners because of the price: Cleanliness should also be the A & O in the A & O!

The room was quite okay in size, unfortunately some power outlets were missing from the room. More light (just a ceiling lamp + light at the bed) Unfortunately, cleanliness also left something to be desired, among others. Were stains on the cloister … the bathroom turned out a bit small.
There was also a "source of danger" in the room. A screw or similar peek out of the ground so you could ruck your foot out barefoot.

Was not our first visit, always good and cheap. Since everything else in Hamburg is very expensive is a good choice for a musical visit.

The woman at the front desk seemed to have been overwhelmed and thus a little unfriendly. Even at breakfast my colleague was not treated too nicely. Everything else is good.

Very friendly welcome. Breakfast was also top. The beds and the room were also clean. The bathroom was very small, sink in the room. Toilet and shower on 2 sqm.

Good location, but from a hotel you just expect better. We had booked a double room. Bed was clean but a relatively hard mattress. Bathroom was cleaned, but there were still stains on the toilet glasses and someone probably dropped his hot cigarette ash on the cistern. The chairs were full of stains, because they didn't even like to put on their clothes, let alone sit down. Breakfast buffet was in the basement and also had a corresponding atmosphere. Although it was a sufficient choice, the coffee was not at all tasted and it was very unlovingly furnished. They felt more like being in a youth hostel.

The single rooms are small. The bathroom is tiny and not neatly clean. The windows could be cleaned. The TV is unfavorably attached, so that you can see everything in the negative from the bed. The matratze is not the latest, you can feel the springs. The staff was friendly.

I was there with my girlfriend this weekend and we were completely satisfied. The only thing negative was we had a woman at the front desk who was sometimes hard to understand. Also the pillows from the bed were very shallow. Otherwise everything was great… Had a room on the 5th floor and right on the elevator. We had no problems sleeping at night. The breakfast was also great. It's small, but it had everything you need. Fresh rolls, sausage, cheese, salad, jam etc. There was also good coffee, etc. We were very happy and happy to return.

-Price was OK-not suitable for recreation from everyday stress-there can be no one sitting at the reception, so talkative the people were, except the little corpulent ladies, although very quickly spoke, but very friendly and always smiling-as there with a Fire alarm is handled, under all sow. Only after we demand the janitor (who probably only has the clue) says we can get up again.

Friendly staff decent hostel.

A nice hotel in a convenient place, ideal for 1 overnight stay.

We spent two nights there as a couple.
It is not recommendable…
The room had no curtains, so it was not particularly dark at night. It was extremely noisy (even on the upper floors) so you couldn't sleep at night.
To the cleaning ladies one can only say one thing: our dustbin was not even emptied.
There is also a long-lasting loud passage through the whole room and bathroom (when the windows are closed) Tip: We put our jackets down at night at the Türritze of the door, so it gets a bit quieter.
Despite reasonable price you can expect more.

Unfortunately, larger parts of the staff unfriendly. Expired food in the packed lunch, many defective. When we were accused of cheating with the pledge, a spike was reached. Only the location is good.

Quiet location. Nice building, size if rooms is sufficient. Old interior but it's enough.

Parking on side street. Stairs to reception. Rooms ok, but not more.

Average economically. Breakfast sucks and you pay aside, better let it go. Near the station.

Worst bed ever, did not sleep the first night, and our sightseeing I Hamburg was therefor not the best experience. No television in the room as promised, "Out of order" a sign said, although it worked in the reception. Noisy rooms, could hear everything from the neighbours.

Basic Hotel, no room-service (not even for new towels and preparing bed after night)

Convenient for price and close to subway and bus. Praticamenfe attached to the Lidl convenient for quick expenses and breakfasts. I put only 3 stars x cleanliness in the room practically absent x throughout the period.

Hotel close to supermarket, restaurants and the Ubahn. Nice breakfast.

The quality of a hotel is always out of sight of the observer. Who is weinig satisfied with for something more is a lot, and finally a matter of taste. Otherwise, the employees are very friendly. The location of the hotel is perfect, everything very well, from my perspective.

We have stayed three nights at the A & O "Hotel" with breakfast in a double room. Reception was already very humbling unfriendly Lady at the front desk, however went quite quickly check-in and the granting of the parking lot. Arrived at the hotel room the next sobering reaction, however, diesesmal our customer. Practical furnishings rooms with a TV which is like my laptop. Beds, mattresses not located through however also not comfortable. The bathroom had needed a cleaning, especially the shower. Entrance and bathroom cleaned daily, otherwise no cleaning of the room (according to the eco-system of the hotel). The walls were dirty painted and not patched through some makeshift to cooking. The breakfast room is located in the basement in addition to countless technology spaces. Here again very functional interior with nice wall decoration and außreichendem breakfast. The quality of the breakfast was however wishes left. The raw ham smelled unpleasant, was already running and defitiv no longer the toe bar. After 9 o'clock nothing was filled of cold meats and cheeses. We awarded a star for the location. The subway is within 5-7 minutes walk away and is within 10-20 minutes at all places of historic interest. The value for money is our opinion a pure disaster. Over €300 for booking time is definitely not justified. A two star hotel we do not want to here the least response. A "bad" hostel would do rather better. We paid the full price, without would be right back out to consider.

We were the first and last time there, never again.! We were 8 people, we wanted a cheap hotel only to sleep, but what there expect us…
We arrived at 14 00 watch, since we were early, we got a room which was ready to submit our case there. The Lady at the reception is very unfriendly and a face like 3 days rain. We went to eat and came back 15 00 watch. The two double rooms were finished the 4 bed room, too. So we (4) down in the basement!. The room still not cleaned. We had to wait 10 min by going upwards, because the Lady on the phone. Then we got another room in the cellar and bedding! We had to take the high bed myself! From the outside in you could see, directly opposite is a Lidlparkplatz. The curtains are too small, so that always a side of the window remains open. The high bed tipped up front when my son wanted to rise up.
I understand in a clean room otherwise it was something nasty, the heating of dirty, the lamps had torn Brown stains, the mattress. The double bed went apart, when together they wanted to sleep. Shower too small. If it is slightly stronger, my man not showered there because too narrow.
Cleaned the room and bathroom also has not been during our stay. This room is just too small for 4 persons.
The breakfast was the same every day! You came to 9 30 pm, we had to ask for eggs, salad was no longer populated.

Nich so dolle but acceptable for the price.

Never again! The room was dirty and equipped with furniture, which long have their best days behind them. We didn't even have a decent closet, 3 hangers on a pole that was coated with Cabinet-like.
The bathroom was stinky and dirty, sink in the hallway next to the door.
You can have breakfast in the basement. The choice of the breakfast offer was alright.
The staff were friendly, but they can change anything on the condition of the rooms.
All in all, was the atmosphere very stressful and absolutely not suitable for holiday use.

Mediocre, but for the price just okay.

We spend the last three years, the time between Christmas and new year in the A and O Hotel Hamburg. The location is very good it is by train very quickly in the city centre. The family rooms are quite small but we spend more time outside than in the Hotel. Large drawback is the cleaning because, during the four days our room was not once cleaned, not even the toilet paper refilled, this is real in need of improvement.

Since we are in our Hamburgbesuch in two A&O Hostels were arranged, we can use these Two compare to each other. As a second Hotel as we were in the A&O Hammerkirche, this is in comparison to the Central station on the first glance, of course, much more outside of the city, but also a new, modern but also a lot smaller. This impression continues in the interior immediately fort. However, also here the staff very nice and helpful and this every time. The rooms are new furnished and clean. Also here you will find, of course, a TV on the (double rooms) and free Wi-Fi. The bathroom is split and the sink in the "living area" and the Loo and shower. This is also at least trying to be clean — it is also Clear here the rind Duschrand and some dirty Spots in the bathroom is inevitable, but you can see the whole at least a regular cleaning. Also the Breakfast here is lles something small and familiar. Here is less hustle and bustle and still, you'll find the same selection as in the other Ho (s) tel. As we had a pre-booked voucher paid, this was probably not a role, but the cost for a room here is probably generally a bit more expensive than at the station, however, this price is justified. The situation is much calmer, but the Discounter next door. Also the paths to the subway and bus stop are very short and thus egtl no Problem. Who to Hamburg and not directly in the City hausen must can here well under.

Family with children, please not This hotel book. Bathroom with a mold painted with paint that does not help. My child is in the hospital gelandt. After amgaben of doctor mold Virus. For this purpose, with a maximum of goodwill 1 star. For Breakfast… That was ok so far. For the money what you would expect and nothing special… but the room?
