Great hotel with charm and the newly renovated room was fantastic.
The view of the Alster is worthwhile and the location is very convenient.

Unfortunately, I also have to criticise a number of people!

In the bathroom there were 1 small vial of shampoo and 1 with shower gel, as well as 1 Q-Tip which was also unpackaged, which is absolutely unhygienic.
-If I book a double room for two people, 2 vials each for showering and at least two Q-Tips would be appropriate.

The breakfast room is relatively cramped, which cannot be changed due to the circumstances, but the service was totally overwhelmed and did not come after serving the coffee. Had to wait half an hour for it. In addition, empty dishes such as rolls, scrambled eggs, bacon etc. Were replenished very late. Not good for a 4 star hotel.

At check-out, please ask the guest if he or she had a pleasant stay and not just hand over the envelope with the invoice.

Really very bad, we would otherwise have come again due to the great location, the ambience and the room.

Very nice hotel, in a central location on the Outer Alster. Due to renovation measures, there were some structural defects in the hotel. In some places in the bath as well as in the building you can see that it was a slightly older hotel with smaller quantities in these areas (paper holder, stucco on the ceiling. ). The website said something of it, but there is only one minibar.

The room was booked via HRS for two nights — about 1/2 hour after booking, I received an email from the hotel (in German) to the effect that „as I had been informed on the booking platform, there was some construction going on at the hotel, but only between 7AM and 5PM“. Surprised, I re-checked HRS and was able to confirm that no such notice had been posted in hotel entry there. The entire hotel is encased in scaffolding — both on the street side as well as in the back. The front is so closed up you feel like you‘re walking into a cave. My room, No. 6, was on the „ground“ floor (this is several steps up from the street) in the back. It was a very small room, with a tiny closet and an even tinier bathroom. The bed was comfortable, so I slept well, but luckily I spent most of my time outside the room. The bathroom was a tiny thing off the side, with no door to keep any smells out of the sleeping area. No A/C was available, by the way, but this wasn‘t much of a problem despite high temperatures outside during the day. The sink in the bathroom was likely the smallest sink I have seen in my life, even smaller than the tiny thing we have in the guest toilet in our house. Using it was a bit of a challenge. Even more of a challenge was the toilet, as the TP holder had been positioned (unnecessarily) exactly in knee height, which made straight sitting on it impossible. The ultimately rediculous instrument was the shower.

A beautiful noble hotel, tastefully decorated. You feel good. Great beds with many pillows, a cuddly pillow with you. At the moment quite favorable because of the construction site. Great location, some very good restaurants and pubs around the corner. Only the breakfast went like this, neatly, but nothing special.

Beautiful old building which has been very well restored. My room was well furnished and the breakfast was also good. The location on the Alster is very nice and you can also reach some restaurants on foot. Happy to return.

I felt very comfortable in the hotel. Newly renovated, beautifully furnished room. Room size was generous, the bathroom rather small. Staff very friendly, cleanliness very good. Breakfast buffet was appropriate. The hotel is a little audible. At the moment the facade is being renovated and the entrance makes a very gloomy impression.
I would definitely like to come back as soon as the renovation is complete.

Wunderschöne Inneneinrichtung, ich hatte ein Zimmer zum Garten hat mir sehrgut gefallen. Das Haus ist aber entsprechend der 4m Deckenhöhe und dem Stuck an der decke relativ alt. Entsprechend hellhörig ist es. Wer nachts die mäuse furzen hört muss sich definitv was anderes suchen, aber ansonsten ists top!

In the Hotel Alster view we have had very friendly contact with the staff. Extra requests, which were to be selected, were met very quickly.
Critics were very open to the staff and thanked them for the clues.
The beds were very soft. I'm not used to it, but I could sleep very well in it.
The bathroom was equipped with a shower and a bathtub. Definitely a plus.
You should also mention that our room was equipped with 2 TVs.
A tablet to inform you about Hamburg's sights and restaurants was available in the room. This is also used for special requests, such as breakfast in the room, room service, to be forwarded to the reception.
Free wireless Internet access is available throughout the hotel.
The prices for the mini bar are perfectly acceptable.
I found it very quiet. Both the noise level within the hotel, as well as the volume from the outside.
Breakfast was very plentiful.
There were various varieties (pleasantly large) buns and bread available. Coffee/cappuccino and tea in sufficient selection were available as hot drinks.
In addition there were various kinds of juice (orange, apple, Church, etc. ) and mineral water with and without carbon dioxide.
The food offer continued to be made of cereal, Süßbackwaren, yogurt, various kinds of sausage, jam, fruit (here I would like to mention the dish of pineapples commendable), boiled eggs (soft and hard cooked), scrambled egg, bacon, Nuremberg, etc.

Nice little hotel directly on the Alster. Old building with high rooms, tastefully furnished. Friendly service. Good breakfast. Unfortunately at the moment a few restrictions due to reconstruction and renovation.

Old-Rustic hotel in the conversion phase. Reference to construction work was only in the Buchungungsbestätigung. Otherwise good and sometimes something else.

A great, small, chic hotel in a great location to explore Hamburg. Public transport in the vicinity, quietly located on the outer Alster, which seduces to strolls quite. And if you're lucky, you'll even see some celebrities.

Room was clean and the building itself beautiful. They renew it at the moment, but that wasnt a problem. The breakfast was good and it was silent during the night. Its best the main station and has a good connection to the bus.

Nice ambient and location.

We had a very nice stay for a couple of nights in Hamburg. I loved our double room, high ceilings, historical building. Just in front of the Alster, the view outside was amazing. Unfortunately it's being renovated at the moment, but we never heard a noise. Breakfast buffet very rich.

Great hotel, friendly staff, very good breakfast. Super clean, unfortunately only currently in renovations, of which we have hardly heard anything. Still highly recommended.

Very good View to Alster as its name: Alesterblick!

It is directly on the Alster lake located hotel convinces with its incredible charm.
The rooms are lovingly furnished and equipped with all amenities such as safe, small mini-bar, a few snacks, TV and ample room for wardrobe.
Criticism as the dusty Panel in the room is friendly and immediately removed from the room Lady.
In the late evening we had some insomnia as the sounds from the kitchen were very disturbing. It is clear to me that this not completely avoid can.
The Lady at the reception was very friendly and let gave in the kitchen now personally, that it must be but something quieter.
Breakfast was of course also what to mention here very positively.
Of hard, soft eggs, scrambled eggs with sausage and to pan cake's, various juices, jam, cakes, enough different meats, fruit, and a wide selection of was rolls everything really exists.
Ware was promptly removed by the staff.
Particularly positive, I would like to mention that all personnel was always friendly and helpful, neat and solution-oriented has taken criticism, and despite much work had always a smile on the lips!

Fantastic location on the Alster. The rooms have been wonderfully renovated. The breakfast buffet is excellent. Overall very much recommended.

Traditional Hanseatic hotel directly on the outer Alster Lake. Elegant rooms with high ceilings and comfortable beds. The breakfast is excellent as well as the related food. Public transport is also super. On foot in 4min to the bus, which is 5 minutes from the central station.

Very nice hotel with beautiful modernized old rooms. My room was once a kitchen, there is still the old stove, he now serves as a shelf. The bathroom is modern and spacious, the breakfast was good. Very much recommended!
