In spite of the Covid-19 spread, and the request of the legislature, to remain at home, the Hotel du Nord, asked for a 90% cancellation fee. The Booked Rate was nights a fair rate for 369, 00€ for 3. Due to the fact that we could not cancel, we drove reluctantly from Munich to Hamburg. We were welcomed by a rude and insolent lady at the reception. The room was nice and Modern, the bathroom a bit "cheap" with poor ventilation. There is a half drank 1.5 liters of plastic bottle in the room was. As was criticized at the reception, the lady said "oh thank you, then I'm going to throw this away". It was asked if there was a room which, in the street, because it was very loud. The answer to that was that only suites were misled. On the second day, we tried it with another colleague at the reception, which was really very nice and also not able to help. At checkout, a young man asked the question whether we have really enjoyed our stay, again we had to explain everything from the beginning, internal communication here is really bad, or is it the employees just don't care, of course, this can be. It was thanked for the Feedback and we wish you a nice trip home. I can't put into words how angry and disappointed I was in this Moment. Each time it was just no matter! I myself work in the hospitality industry, so something is happening in any Hotel regardless of whether 0 or 5+ star. If I could I give 0 stars.

It is a relatively small hotel, ca 15-20 rooms and surrenders to the outside as a Japanese hotel, but this is a blender. Our assessment, we would note that we are no know-it-all, but a german Japanese couple with real Japanese experience. You will find such a hotel in Japan, you can't get up here like in a 4 star hotel, but rather like a scene Blender before. The €400 for the arrangement worth half wasn't there time. The location was bus right in front of the door very convenient, (every 5 minutes). Other local or ATM ok limited, however. Staff friendly but uncooperative. At check-in, we tried to book a suite due to the confines of the room. This cannot be reasons but from Hotelpolitischen. A statement on our demand remained unanswered. Unfortunately, only German staff, the usual Japanese courtesy was missing. The staff is not unfreun.
