Good beds, slightly small rooms. Friendly staff. Overall nice experiance.

A decent host! Twenty meters from the subway! Clean, the linens are fresh, the staff are polite! On the contrary parking, though not protected and paid, and it is fraught! The car is best put in an underground parking lot, is in the next block, 10 minutes on foot and the price is the same, the staff knows!

A great place to visit Berlin. Convenient location — subway at the entrance. A quiet center. Breakfasts. Clean and calm.

The rooms were clean and relatively quiet. We loved the fact that it was just steps from the u-bahn and just a block away from coffee shops, bars, and grocery shops. Towels and linens were free and there was soap in the bathroom. Service was great and the staff was always helpful. Definitely recommend for travelers on a budget.

The air throughout the hotel is incredibly stuffy and warm. There is no air conditioning in the room and there is little fresh air coming through the windows. I was already snubbing and coughing for our stay, but there I hardly got any air. As a result, we had to leave the windows open at night we all always had a scratch in the throat in the morning. The breakfast was good but the air was fatal!

Nice, clean and cheap hotel. We had four in a room with bunk beds which suited our needs for a stage weekend. Pillows were a little soft but beds were comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful. Good position eight next to a tube station 2 stops from Alexanderplatz and there's plenty of bars and restaurants near by.

Not bad quality and price, but if you go more than two people must take into account that you do not make the third bed policy of the hotel and you have to assemble your own, do not give tourist information, and there is plenty of dust.

Rooms are tight, but then everything is in Germany. Very clean, non-smoking lobby with Foosball and billiards tables. I came here on a class trip to Berlin and it has been very nice. Rooms also come with a TV and plenty of personal storage. It is also stationed directly outside the U-bahn at senefelderplatz, which is very convenient for getting around, only 2 stations away from Alexander platz.

Price — performance fit. The rooms are absolutely fine. The facilities are adequate. Hair dryer, towels, TV. Everything there and works. The breakfast buffet is fine. The location is top. For Berlin a really nice neighborhood.
Parking is a bit expensive — or I didn't understand it. There are only parking tickets in public parking spaces.

Place according to their price. More than once they forgot to leave towels. Very small rooms and very thin walls; you hear everything that happens in the hallway and in adjoining rooms.

Great room, some small but ours was at the top and we had a beautiful view. Very nice staff, very accommodating and friendly. The hotel is not at Alexanderplatz but it is very close to a subway with which you can get directly to Alexanderplatz.

Unfriendly staff but good location and the food is also good. Rooms are good from the furnishings only the hygiene could have been better (brown stains on cover). The bunk beds are not covered by the staff. (You have to do it yourself)

Wir reisen als Vierergruppe quer durch Europa und der Wert, den wir für den Preis bekommen haben, war hervorragend! Definitiv eines der besseren Hotelerlebnisse, die wir erlebt haben. Ich werde auf jeden Fall wieder hier übernachten, wenn ich die Chance habe. Das Einchecken war unglaublich einfach. Gehe zum Schalter und du hast deine Schlüssel nach 30 Sekunden in der Hand. Die Zimmer sind sehr modern und mit einfach zu benutzenden Einbauschränken ausgestattet, die sich unter dem Bett herausziehen. Die Badezimmer sind sehr sauber und der Wasserdruck ist unglaublich stark. Sehr toller Ort für ein tolles Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Mehr von einem Hotel als von einem Hostel.

Only stay here if you like noise. I stayed one night and had groups of people singing and shouting outside my window late throughout the night. I accidently booked this on Agoda labelled as a hotel. It's not, it's a hostel. Avoid if you like your sleep.

It's very good. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Well connected, it's next to the subway. A little expensive breakfast but overall very nice. I would recommend it for the value.

It is a perfect place as a passing hotel, it is comfortable and clean. In addition, it is located very close to the Alexander Platz, and the Rosa Luxemburg Metro station.

We went there as a student trip and it waaaaas awesooome, im talking for Berlin but for the hotel it honestly had that cozy feeling to it, a nice vibe and the staff is really nice when it comes to giving you space to relax. Ich war da für ein Stunden urlaub und die Hotel war sehr gut. Es hatte ein cool Aussicht und wir haben ich und mein Freunde die beste Bedienung von ihren staff :)

Perfect and an unbeatable value for money.

The rooms are tidy and clean and have a pleasant size. Just like the bathroom. The breakfast is not intoxicating but reasonable for the price.

Excellent choice at a good price to stay in the centre of Berlin! The rooms are small but new, comfortable and ours at least with views of the city.

Was nicely furnished for the price. Breakfast was also great. Only bad thing: the cleaning ladies have taken while I had breakfast the deposit bottles from the rooms and probably claimed for themselves!

The people are great and really helpful aswell as understanding both English and German. The beds are comfortable and have handy built in electrical sockets and USB port and a shelf to put the charging devices on. The food provided is good and there are vending machines if you need a snack or drink (though they are a bit over priced) the bathrooms are good and have a hairdryer and a spacious shower. Unfortunately our soap was empty and not refilled which was a backache.

Very friendly service. Very cozy teen furnished room, in our case with a great view of the TV tower. For us it was well located. :)

Quiet but in the center, there is metro stop at the door.

Had a nice stay here. The walls are a little thin, and so was the mattress. However, everything was uncomplicated and I liked the USB sockets.

Location is very good. Rooms are not huge but are enough to make you comfortable (although I think it should have more power outlets).

I recommend this hotel to everyone who wants to visit Berlin. Close to the center, next to the Metro, young, clean, great breakfast. The staff is very courteous.

Very good location, chic interiors and rooms and one of the cleanest hotels so far I've seen. Only the closer contact to the staff was missing (for questions etc. You had to go down and check in. Would visit it but again.

Very nice location as you can take the metro right in front of the hostel or just take a stroll exploring the popular and hip mitte area. The facility was modern and nice, the staff are also very nice and helpful. The only downside is the poor ventilation in the rooms and especially in the kitchen. There's no aircondition in the rooms but windows, however the ventilation was poor so that it was so hot in the room when it wasn't hot at all outside. They do have kitchen but it's really hard to actually cook something as the ventilation is really poor there and they are not properly equipped with what you need, they don't have a single cooking knife for safety reason. After all it's such a great place to stay for good price as long as you don't need a proper kitchen.

Advice at all. Excellent value for money, nice clean and comfortable rooms. Central location and the Metro Yes right at the exit of the hotel and a few minutes from Alexander Platz. In the vicinity there are many excellent restaurants, both Italian and multi-ethnic.

We were a group of four people and we really enjoyed our stay in the hotel! Room cleaned, toilet well furnished, a great view to the fernsehtrum and excellent connection with public transport! The only thing we recommend is to clean the room every day, because in one week the cleaning service passed just for two times!

Great, contemporary hotel for a great price! Very comfortable rooms! Also great location! We're traveling across Europe as a group of four and the value we got for the price was outstanding! Definitely one of the better hotel experiences we encountered. I will certainly stay here again when I have the chance.

Welcome and Price Make this hotel the strong point!

Check-in was incredibly easy. Walk up to the counter and you'll have your keys in hand after 30 seconds. The rooms are very modern and come equipped with easy to use built in lockers that pull out from under the bed. Bathrooms are very clean and the water pressure is incredibly strong. Very great place for a great value. More of a hotel than a hostel.

Good price and good location, 24h reception. Also the cleanliness was not bad.

Stayed here in a group of 6. Had one room for 6 booked but ended up with 2 rooms of 4. Clean and comfortable rooms with good bathroom and shower. The only negatives were that it is located on a noisy main road and there is no air conditioning so the rooms were very warm requiring window to be open. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

I was at the Meininger for 9 nights. I found myself very good, receptionist and waiter on very nice floors. In reception They helped me a lot with tips to turn to the best of the city, always friendly and with the smile. It was a very nice location. I really had a nice stay in Berlin.

I recommend renting a bike directly to the hotel to visit the city.

It is a nice and comfortable place for a cheap price at all! I recommend it; I had a good stay and the hotel is located right next to a subway! The class.

I don't know why but unfortunately I had to move out of my first room because there was no place for me the next day. They put me in another room. First, I was in a woman only room, which I felt great about it. Then they moved me in another room which was mixed. The room wasn't as nice as the first one and the bed was not clean. I wet out for the day thinking the bed would be cleaned when I come back. But not. I was not. I has to go downstairs, ask for sheets, clean the bed and make it on my own. That's not nice.

The room was very clean and nicely decorated. Unfortunately, breakfast in no way matched the price / performance ratio. 6, 90 pm expects at least a little fresh fruit and an egg.
On the whole, friendly staff. A lady (Saturday morning in the service) however has my problem at all not taken up and reacted annoyed. My expensive Ohropaxpackung has accidentally fallen behind the bed. Unfortunately it is not return approached. I asked for help at the front desk. All I got were 0, 15 euro Mouthguard and an annoyed reply that yes the staff only allowed after our departure in the room. The cleaning service, however, was a day in our room. It would be therefore actually no problem, to bring out the tea behind the bed. That was a very poor service for me unfortunately.

The Meininger is a really basic hotel, especially by American standards, but it is cheap and it has amenities like a kitchen that everyone shares and a washer and dryer. This is a hostile, but I had the wrong idea of what a hostile is. Basically it has rooms with bunkbeds. You will not be sharing a room with someone that you don't know! There are some loud guest, but you get this anywhere. The location is great because it is right beside the U2 and close to Alexandeplatz.

I really enjoyed my stay at this hostel. The service there is nice, the rooms clean and it is ideally placed at the exit of a subway mouth! No hesitation to have!

We were 8 girls and we booked 3 nights at the Meininger Hotel Alexanderplatz… we were just so happy to be all together that we didn't care much about our accomodation. If I have to say something, the rooms were WAY TOO SMALL! 2 bunk beds one in front of the other with not enough space for luggages… and the shower was not pleasant at al… Breakfast is not so good, and 6.90€ is not cheap… but the Impala cafè in front of the hotel was sooooooooo nice that we were happy anyway. Also, it was TOO HOT inside the rooms and corridors… we had to sleep with our windows open, otherwise it was impossible to sleep 4 people in that tiny HOT room!

Hello! Thanks for asking and it was overall 'nice' to stay there though I found upon my arrival the room had not been cleaned and had to go back with my cases to Reception and get another one. The morning lift was really busy — too busy in the end — (is there only one lift? ). I took the stairs from seventh floor which is fine as i'm able but with cases that could be a problem for others. The breakfast selection was very 'cheap' and poor choices, hard to get anything 'healthy' other than sliced (canned) fruit segments and yoghurt. I would not eat breakfast there again. otherwise really nice place. Good location. Maybe I will stay again when on business but will expect more clean experience. Thank you, Hubert.

A very centrally located, clean hostel with very friendly staff. It is recommended for groups. It offers a small conference room with a projector free of charge, to conduct a seminar with up to 30 people.

My experience at Meininger hotel Berlin Alexanderplatz was perfect. They gave us a bigger room than the one de had booked and also with terrace! They were so kind and helped us with any doubt we had. Everything was better than expected. 200% recomendable.

The location is good, close to alexanderplatz and the subway aswell ad plenty of restaurants nearby. The facilities are old, showers were difficult to operate and the kitchen was small, stuffy and had too many flies. Not all rooms have certain features like side lamps (useful when sharing with many people) or bunk beds with railings to stop you from rolling out of the top bunk. But the other services were reasonably good.

Simple and clean The first time I staid here was because of the great location, close to Alexanderplatz as well as clubs and other venues around the Eberswalder Str. Metro station, plus a very good price. Downstairs the place is pleasant — — a colorful reception area plus a room with seating where breakfast is served in the morning, and which for the rest of the day is used by guests sipping coffee, beer and spending time on their laptops. Rooms are very simple — — usually just the beds with very little furniture, bare wooden floors. A bit on the smallish side and looking somewhat shabby, but overall clean and silent, good windows keeping the street noise out. Internet works well throughout the hotel, even for media streaming. Staff is polite and helpful, though not particularly friendly. Rooms on the 7th floor have nice terraces overlooking the rooftops around.

Excellent location near center, one step to U-Bahn station, clean room, free Wi-Fi, if you walk around you can find a lot of different cafes.

The experience at the hotel was pleasant for me. Friendly staff, very well behaved and good service were the high points. Expectations were all delivered. All in all I am looking forward to choosing this hotel or the hotel chain again in the future whenever I get the chance.

It was a pleasent stay at meninger hotel. I checked it in very late at night and they allowed me in. It would be really awesome if they could extend breakfast hours to 11am and have foosball table. :)

We would never have thought that a Hostel so clean and nice that would be. Super clean bathroom (which is for us the most important thing is). Shampoo and Waschgel in the bathroom, which was super. Clean Beds. Also very convenient. At night it was quiet and you could well fall asleep. Also, the connection is super. Directly opposite the train station.

Good relation quality-price. Tube station really in front of the Hostel and excellent connection with the city center and main touristic places (Alexander Platz, Potsdamer Platz…) Quite rooms and really clean in overall public spaces. Complete and modern bathrooms. Good breakfast with wide variety of food. Nice staff and nice visit. I would repeat the location 100%

I am very disappointed… we were 2 years already times here, and were satisfied… for this reason, we have again for this Hotel decided… to the one we (my friend and I) a room with a double bed booked… we have a room with two single beds put together, on which the mattresses are only loosely on it (that in itself is not a Problem) and a bunk bed… the room is already so small and then takes the bunk bed, also really a lot of space… the room smells musty, it is definitely not properly cleaned and looks quite worn out, or in the years to come… so, to sleep enough, but again, we come here in any case, not more… also the wardrobe (especially for 2 people) a joke… every third-class resort usually has a Minibar, a safety Deposit box and/or kettle… here you will find this is not, of course, very sad… me tuts really sorry about the money, as the price is really better could be expected, especially in terms of cleanliness… conclusion: Disappointment pure, never again! I also have the staff is already over my disappointment, informed that they can not help me, the Hotel is fully booked. These were, however, not really a solution-oriented, since the proposal of the employee was in a shared room with other guests to get stuck. In which world this solves the Problem. Well, the staff were anyway very unfriendly and disinterested. One had rather the feeling that you would be my Unnamed right of enjoyment.

I enjoyed my stay staff were friendly but I was a bit upset with the students on a trip knocking on doors and running away and Windows need safety lock as student were leaning out shouting to there friends very unsafe.

I went for sightseeing with my friends to the city of Berlin and we chose Meininger Hotel AlexanderPlatz as it seemed like the best option for us according with what we were looking for: a cheap, clean and well located place. It fited us for sure. We undoubtely reccomend it.

Staff very nice and helpful, location great, beds for the price level also very good (but why one of his own beds, this has to refer? at least the top of the six-bed room — there are some youth hostels are already more comfortable), the entrainment of the dogs was no problem, the room is nice and quiet in the rear — but, unfortunately, much too warm (heated by heat of the past days) and not effekiv to ventilation (small Windows), so that the air is unbearable, you could hardly sleep and in the hallway on the sixth floor, it was even worse. A real design flaw. Or. Are in other Hotels even the six-bed room but a lot bigger — probably three Stockwerkbetten instead of the usual two beds with otherwise the same size. A pity, because otherwise it is really recommended. We are a larger family who likes to travel quite a Hotel, Hostel and Jugendherbergserfahren — and for a Hotel the shower is an imposition!

The hotel was in a good location, near to the underground and to the centre of the city. Everything was fine except that under and near the bed, it was not clean. I've also found a towel a bit dirty. There is no the hairdryer. But there was the kitchen and this is very good. The hotel was quite and the Wi-Fi was good.

In itself, we need only a place to sleep. And there is the around it doesn't really matter. But at 77, — € I think could be a room of about 15 sqm, a little bit better ausgetattet, as should the mattresses not on the bed loose back and forth huscheln. In a 2 bedded room could then, perhaps, but a big fat (heavy) mattress. And we don't have a television had to, but because I see more in my phone. That is really a joke.

They put us in a room for 2 weeks to 4 we would die of hot. But otherwise, the rest was good.

Bad, dirty & small. Very hard mattresses. A Mini wardrobe in the as well as nothing fits in there. A Micro TV with approximately 30 centimetres. Not even once. Rather then in a hostel, there would be room even larger.

We were there 2x, and it was both times super. A one-point deduction are there, because I by chance noticed how the Boss nen guest bawled, as it is after 10:30 again, O-juice glasses are refilled.

Our room was quite cheap for a location so close to the Hauptbahnhof, and we really didn't notice any train noise at night. Breakfast was reasonably priced (€5, 50) and worth it for the variety and convenience. We arrived early, but our room was ready and clean after we waited only a half hour. The staff was friendly, helpful and accomodating. Wifi in the lobby was free and fast enough for a video chat. We had used Meininger in Munich as well, and were happy with both experiences. If you have a Eurail Pass, there is a 10% discount as well, which is a bonus to be sure. There was a school group using it while we were there, but we didn't have any inconveniences because of it. Ask the staff about most things like good bar districts and they will give you some good advice.
