Excellent service but the thing that most struck me was how spotlessly clean everything was. Congratulations team!

Some staff are not fit to give any customer support, u need to show them your teeth to do something as a toilet on your room who doesnt work and get smelly. Instead of taking action, they just sit and do nothing till u say something about that is not acceptable, maybe a training customer orientation will help. After a day the toilet worked again after giving a reminder in the morning. Maybe a course english to cleaning staff will also help.

One of the greatest hostels I've ever been to. It is built in an old brewery/factory, which is a nice concept, but it is also completely renovated inside. Staff was great, they took care of my suitcase and charged my power Bank the last day. Super great. Will be back for sure.

The rooms were spacious and clean. The bed was comfortable. The receptionist was friendly and helpful.

This is one of the best hostels that I have visited. On the ground floor there is a bar in the lobby. There you can eat. There is a pool table, a fireplace, a guitar. Very comfortable armchairs. The rooms are also cozy, spacious and clean. The most beautiful thing for me was this shower. He is divine) ) ) I went three times a day. Its location is good. Nearby you can eat. There are shops and the city center is not far away.

The hostel is in a fantastic area! You're only a three minute walk from the metro and there are some cute outdoor bars in the courtyard. The building itself is ultra modern but lacks in basic things. For instance, the rooms don't have air conditioning (during the heatwave it was impossible to sleep), the beds block the charging points, the shower is great but very slippery and dark, the Wi-Fi is so useless I had to go to a cafe and pay for Wi-Fi, and most importantly it lacked any vibe at all. There place felt dull and boring. I saw not activities or community forming. It's a great place to stay at colder times and with a group of friends but as a solo traveller, it didn't meet my needs.

Loved this hostel. Comfy beds and decent sized showers, a bar that's open 24 hours. People who work there are friendly and have super good beers available, the breakfast buffet is yummy and full of options except eggs lol. Would definitely recommend this budget hostel for your stay, it's located in a really neat spot by some good restaurants and stores. It's also directly in front of the subway entrance so it's really easy to get to wherever you're coming from.

Key tag for doors and lockers. Raindrop showers is heavenly. But bathroom floor stick and shower curtains don't go all the way to the ground, so thongs get wet. Weird to see babies in the hostel. Have to make extra effort to mingle. Pool table is usual place to meet people. Although not ideal for solo travellers but for groups. Didn't have breakfast, as I heard its a little steep at €7 for continental breaky. Staff are friendly and offer good advice. Close to train station. Quiet location.

Great hostel with friendly staff. Amenities are exactly what you'd expect and want for a budget hostel. Fantastic location near the underground metro and within walking distance to some amazing hip restaurants. Well done Pfefferbett Hostel!

Money disappeared from my luggage. We know who it was as this person a trainee. Had seen me take money out of the case. I stupidly had put spare cash in there as backup The problem is and which is very odd at this hostel is that, a staff member, any staff member, escorts you to the luggage room and then stands there until you leave so if you are quickly getting something out, then they see this. The level of theft within hosts in Berlin is shocking and one has to wonder if these are "Inside jobs". For a start do any of these workers have criminal background checks? yet work with sensitive details, have access to our accounts, luggage etc… many are volunteers and are not checked mot even properly with a proper cv. Many are from distant countries. This was bad enough but there was also an incident in a dorm room when a Canadian man and 3 girls bullied my friend, we have the footage on video for evidence and was aggressive and had been racially abusive. The female staff. Member, who is part of the kitchen staff as there was no proper reception staff on duty, dealt with it badly and although refunded, the lack of a night sleep due to inconsideration and then the next morning, being deliberately inconsiderate, and abusive and aggressive, and nothing was done about it — apparently I was just one person, " and as the hostel staff member said, and the other travellers, " we are 6 and one of you, so we win. " we want the windows and curtains open.

The best hostel I have visited so far. Everything is clean, upscale and the staff is super friendly. One of the receptionists speaks French.

Nice rooms with nice beds. Small but nice bathrooms. Free pool table and a free ping pong table. A big courtyard where you can make noise until late in the evening without disturbing other guests and/or neighbors. Staff is okay too.

Perfect youth Hostel for class outings or final trips etc. With a nice lounge. The rooms could be cleaned better and the security raised slightly, as it was broken into my class on the 2nd evening (offender was arrested). The staff is very friendly and helpful.

Very good, but it was very hot in the room and the bathroom was completely wet after showering, since the shower curtains have brought nothing.

A very chic, clean hotel. Unfortunately with the toilets there were many problems they were partially clogged or very dirty. The rooms are very cosy and chic. There are also recreational activities.

A very clean hostel. Great beds, perfect showers in each room. The staff is super friendly. I got a bit confused about my check out time and checked out 3 hours later than the time I was supposed to. They behaved so kindly and said that "It's OK. These mistakes can happen to each of us". The only negative points I can mention are the expensive breakfasts and the awful Wi-Fi. For the breakfast you better buy something from the supermarket the night before and have your breakfast in the lobby, with the free coffee until 12:00. Anyway, highly recommended!

I stayed for almost an entire week. They have pool table, open bar. All the things that are said in their website is true. This was my first time in a hostel in Germany, it was definitely a good experience, meeting people from different parts of the world. Internet is fast only in the bar area, Wifi is very mild or does not exist in the room itself. Bar area is a good place to just chill and if you have work to do. I had an exam the second day, so I had my noise cancelling headphones on and just zoned into my study. The next few days, just traveled around Berlin. This hostel is inside the city, so everything is walking distance. The U Bahn is 2 mins from hostel by walk. Highly recommend this place!

Great hostel for a short break, pleasant and clean rooms with excellent facilities. It was reasonably priced for 4 nights. Food and beers here were cheap and of good quality. Free coffee until 12. Free pool in the evenings. A generous later checkout of 11:30am. Staff were all friendly. Location was perfect with a train station 2 stops from Alexanderplatz and plenty of restaurants and bars nearby.

A really nice place. In the morning you can have breakfast. It doesn't fit the price of the room. A pity there was no hairdryer in the room.

The prices are resonable in the 23 euro are very kind digging visited.

Simple, but okay. Bar and breakfast very good. Attention: Extremely small towels, better to bring with you.

One of my better hostel experiences so far. Free billiards downstairs and the bar is open pretty late. Drinks are pretty cheap, too. My only complaint is how small the bathrooms were.

Wonderful breakfast, in the lobby you can relax nicely and rooms now not incredible but least super clean.

Just at the moment I sit here and feel comfortable the rooms are clean as well as bathroom and shower. It is cheap and can only recommend it.

I would give it 5 * but the Wi-Fi didn't reach the room. The room was very good and the pool was very nice.

A nice hostel with clean and comfortable accomodation at the heart of Berlin. The brekfast is pocket friendly with a wide variety of items to choose for. The staff is really kind and friendly. This place does not have the option of towel HIRE, but the security system is great. Can use bus 100 to travel around the main attractions of the city which stops 5 minutes away from the hostel.

Amazing hostel for great price. Stayed there for several night. It was impeccable clean and it has free pool/table tennis/table soccer. Prices for cocktails and shots are also very reasonable. Would go there again!

The place is nice and the atmosphere great but the fourth night… Bed bugs! We started to see them all over the room and with a considerable size. The next day we were washing clothes all morning, looking that there was none left in the suitcase, etc. For the complete return of the stay have taken 2 and a half months. To avoid!

The pepper bed hostel is absolutely fine. The hostel is modern, quietly located. There are lockable compartments in the rooms (you don't need your own castle), valuables can be handed in at the reception and the showers are separated into lockable cabins. The atmosphere in the lobby is relaxed thanks to the muted colour scheme and invites you to linger. There is a fireplace! Breakfast can be seen, scrambled eggs & fruit are a nice plus to the most common standards. :-)

Adequate prices for rooms, food a bit expensive, however, a week's stay was an ingenious experience. The music in the lounge was great and breakfast as well. The rooms were very spacious for 6 people, as you usually only met there in the evening. Otherwise a beautiful historic building. I can only recommend.

A lot of people in one room. I had to share the room with 17 people more…

The 24 hour reception is convenient, there's free Wi-Fi and rooms are good by hostel standards. I stayed in a 4 person room and was impressed by the high bunk beds. Also the bed was long enough for a tall person like me to sleep comfortably. Breakfast buffet was decent and staff were friendly.

Very nice hotel, very good location But the services are somewhat unwelcome.

Lovely hostel, a bit overpriced but the cheapest option we found in Berlin last minute. A bit off the city centre but connection was great. Overall definitely worth to recommend, nice bar, breakfast, room was clean, quite clinical in decor though, however it was warm and the shower was great — high pressure and very hot water! Would recommend, quirky place.

Tidy rooms and accommodating personnel. Showers were very nice for a hostel, and the lounging area had fussbal and a pool/billiard table. Very good experience overall.

It was a very relaxed place to have a drink and hang out with friends. It's also nice to be able to meet fellow travellers and be allowed to use their facilities. It's also by a few gay bars and clubs! Take a visit and enjoy the scene.

The rooms are very simple but have enough space for luggage. Breakfast is excellent and there is enough space in the lobby to stay there during the day. All in all, you can only recommend the hostel pepper bed. Not only because of its central location in Berlin.

Rooms are great and have an ensuite bathroom (I stayed in a 4 bed dorm). The courtyard out front is quite noisy but the breeze of air coming through the window is worth it because there's no air conditioning. There is a 24 hr bar and a noise regulation past 11 pm so people can sleep. The hostel is oddly located with two obscure entrances to the courtyard. Reception/staff are helpful to a certain extent (they'll point you to information but won't show you on a map etc. ). Overall great experience.

Great hostel with private rooms and an en suite bathroom. Breakfast was also quite nice! Located in a good area with a nearby brewery, supermarket, cafes and restaurants. Only a 20 minute walk to the city center.

Soft beds. Rooms with lockers, but they can be worn out relatively easily. Free Wi-Fi. Great Aufenhaltsbereich. Small and cramped rooms. Very small bedside table.

Lots of space an en suite shower and toilet. Staff was very helpful and friendly. The breakfast is 6.80 all you can eat with good amount choices. Went there for a stag but good for families as well.

Great place for solo travelers or groups. The venue and the location are both fascinating and well located. 1min walk from the U banh. Very clean, neat and safe. The staff was very friendly and the common area is very spacious and nice. Just spent one night but will definitely come back. Oh, and don't forget to bring soap, shampoo and towel, this u won't get. Great vibes, perfect location, clean, efficient, very friendly and helpful staff. The food is good and on budget too. What else do you want? Ah the fireplace of course! I would certainly go back and cannot recommend it enough.

A wonderful integrative hostel, I'm thrilled! Here stayed three days, especially the premises have convinced me. A great lounges and dining room, beautiful terrace and the rooms are adequate. Priced ok. The breakfast is bombastic, everything wants the vegetarian and non-vegetarian heart. Lunch is very plentiful, indeed's bar is open 24 hours. Oh yeah, did I mention, that people with constraint are about half of the employees? Wonderful concept, at any time!

I have stayed in a double room with an en suite bathroom. On the top floor, it was very quiet and comfortable. The room was large and clean. The bus stop right outside the door.

Everyday they have two lunch options. Veg and meat. Less than 6 euros a plate. good value.

This place was pretty good, but we had a couple of unlucky experiences that merited a lower rating. Pros: -Awesome location. Literally steps away from a subway station, in a good neighborhood, and situated in a beer garden which was awesome for watching sports. -The bar and restaurant in the hostel are good, with in-house infused alcohols which I recommend! The common area can be a cool place to hang out and meet people. -Updated rooms and bathrooms are nice. Cons: -Cleanliness: possibly due to a large group of teenage students in the hostel at the time, but the bathrooms were trashed most of the time (also, no private/semiprivate bathrooms, at least for the dorms). The staff goes in and cleans in the morning, but by the afternoon they are pretty nasty; clogged toilets, shower room flooded, etc. Also, the rooms are not cleaned daily and get dirty fast with the high turnover rate of travelers. -Internet: there is only Wi-Fi in the lobby, but I was only able to connect 50% of the time. Even then, it was too slow to use. A big gripe for something which is usually available in rooms of other hostels. — Clientele detracted from overall experience. I guess not really something the hostel can control, but it affected our stay nonetheless. I expected mostly college aged kids, but there were large groups of young teenagers, older people (50+), and we were paired with a middle aged woman and her small child in our room which was fairly awkward.

Really nice hostel, large public space at the entrance. With bar, billiard, fireplace. Many people from all over the world stay here. Lots of places around to go out for some drinks, food and more.

I've slept very poorly, because I was on the rubber mattress protector just've been sweating. Otherwise, everything was ok, the receptionist was very nice. But what good is that if you are not reasonably able to sleep. It comes in a Hostel now.

Good cheap hostel with nice people.

Super located at the Senefelder Platz underground stop. Very nice staff, good breakfast and the icing is the small beer garden city beach. Top clean, bright. Be sure to tell a friend.

Great place to stay will stay there whenever I'm in Berlin……Friendly staff, great food :) Only thing I will say is they need Wi-fi inside the rooms so people can contact family and friends without having to be in the lobby. Thanks.

READ the most recent reviews, Standards at this hostel have dropped. Staff are very unhelpful. Drug use at this hostel is promoted. Staff are just plain rude and act like they are doing you a favor if you ask for help, I would strongly advise going elsewhere, and there are many great hostels nearby to this one. avoid avoid avoid.

For me the only positive point of being there was having big room and clean towel and bedsheets, otherwise there was not a place that I recommend to my friends and that will be the last time for me as well. There was no internet in the room and it make it too boring to stay at room and when I was near the reception to use internet, the sound of the bar was too loud and annoying. The control of TV was out of order and they did not have new one to give me so I could not use it. The breakfast was just OK not perfect but you should pay for it separately. There was no kitchen for me to warm my own food and I could get just hot water for free, if I wanted.

-Hotel + Hostel = Not a hotel and not a hostel -No Internet in rooms. (Slow Wi-Fi connection in the noisy lobby) -No kitchen for guests. -Not friendly crew. -I do not recommend that place to anybody.
