I went alone to know the Melia Tapas and the service was terrible, I did not get, there were tables available but the waitress said that alone could only sit on the counter.

Josué from reception is one of the most kind, efficient and nice worker I have ever find on my life. I’ve travel a lot and I really know who is the people who makes a difference. Staff so friendly cannot do enough for you. The Level is well worth the extra and such a relaxing atmosphere. The location is central therefore all sites are easily accessible. Train station just a short walk.

Loved this hotel. Friendly staff and The Level services were very nice. Very impressed by the free food offerings. It allowed us to see much more of the city during our short visit. It was very closely located to most of the major museums and sites. Bed was not the most comfortable, but other than that we really loved it.

Delighted with Melia. Good location for easy access to sights, Hop on Off buses, trams and river. Surrounded by restaurants and bars on opposite side of river. Lovely rooms with very comfortable bed. Niggles were poor internet connectivity and thin towels! Hotel tapas bar very good. Bar disappointingly small and expensive.

Central – right next door to Berlin Friedrichstraße station. Well-presented hotel and rooms and staff of high professionalism and helpfulness. We also thought the value for $ was very good. Hard to find negative things to say. Perhaps the 4 stars are evident – don’t expect too much glitz and glamour. That said, we thought it was outstanding and would recommend it to friends.

They do try the hard sell when you get there though "for extra cost you can get in your room early and have a river view ect" but we didn't pay any extra and we got a river view and got in the room at 11am. I think it must be a hard selling tecnik from the hotel chain to get more money out of you.
Very secure you have to use your room key to get into the lift and use the toilets in reception.
Staff very friendly.
We did have a room at the front of the hotel over looking the road which is s bit noisy didn't bother us but worth keeping in mind if your a light sleeper.
Only stayed two night on a short weekend trip but overall very good hotel excellent location.

Traditional big hotel, located in the centre of Berlin, near from all the attractions. We got a nice breakfast, so we could eat and appreciate Spree River. Berlin is safe, comfortable and modern city. Near from: Brandenburg gate, Checkpoint Charlie and billions of attractions. We used Trip Advisor to find some of them.

The service at this hotel is just poor. Interns seem to be deployed at the reception. It is particularly interesting that no manager comes forward when you complain. The complaint is simply ignored by staff. Especially for me as an invited guest of a neighboring company, that was very frustrating. I hope my business friends never put me there again.
Update June 6, 2017: It's surprising for me, they haven't reported to me to date. It must be nice when you have so little reliant on customers.
Update 18.05/2018: In fact, I still get annoyed. The service was really underground.

Very well located, close to the island to museums, theaters and public transport, on the edge of the spree.
Very nice hotel which it would only miss a real restaurant not to get out (there is a lounge and a tapas bar, there was a restaurant that seems closed). But there's plenty to eat in the neighborhood.
We stayed in a junior suite: large, bright and well designed, with a very comfortable bed, a superb bathroom (their products are at the top) and a nice terrace on the street (which is reassuring: the sound insulation is good).
Very good and very generous breakfast (and in addition tea-time and aperitif for the level rooms). Let's go!
The staff (reception, breakfasts, housekeeping, room service) is really in the care for the guests, with nice attentions. In fact, we'd stay alive!

I've been coming back to Europe for more than 10 years and couldn't be more upset about staff quality and attitude at this hotel. Room was fine except a few hairs on the bed frame wall and small couchy. But from the check-in staffs never greeted me and even passed me check in with another colleague. He gave me a wrong information about breakfast price, but the worst part was how the quality manager dealt with the problem. She (her name is Figueroa) had the worst attitude I have ever encountered so far. Location was good and food was decent, but I would not recommend this hotel to others due to the service quality. I had to give a recognition to her name immediately on review.

The hotel is clean and well appointed. The bathrobes are a nice touch. Be aware that relatively few rooms have a decent view. Many rooms look in to extremely bland internal courtyards. While the location is fantastic for access to the museum island area, it doesn't justify the price: Berlin public transit is to convenient and inexpensive for this to be the best choice for most travelers.

Great atmosphere and you will receive friendly and helpful, speaking at the registration very good English. The food is delicious and the waiters very attentive and friendly.

Very Central Hotel Metro and trains a 3-minute walk away. Very good a local right under Peter Pan, where they make great sandwiches and great fries.

Nice and comfortable hotel, centrally located. Overall service is good, but definitely lots of room for improvement! No genuine service oriented staff at Front Office department, not even when Meliã itself offered a gift as part of the loyalty program they were willing to adhere to this. Highly disappointing! We upgraded to a Level room with lounge access, which was worth as it's very comfortable with pleasant service. Especially during breakfast! The room was fresh and spacious. Overall good, but nothing really special.

Small Hotel at the Nikolai Church, close to the S-Bahn Alexanderplatz (5 min walk), I was in Berlin on business and two nights there in the overbooking in a single room with a double bed. It was all quite good, however, the first morning it suddenly stunked after runoff. When I was back in the room in the evening, the water in the bathroom ran out of the shower shower, which was on the drain in the shower… In the morning, however, it did not stunk from the drain in the shower. I don't know what happened. There were four bathrobes deposited in the closet. You can't have breakfast at the hotel, but get a discount of 10% in 2-3 cafes/restaurants in the nearest area. My view from the window was not beautiful — the courtyard and no beautiful houses opposite. Looked like a prison "garden".
My conclusion: was okay/already quite good, but I do not have to go again.

Excellent structure of the Melia chain located in the central Friedrichstrasse. At 30 meters you will find the train stop which, among other things, leads to the fair. Inside 5 star services with elegantly furnished rooms and equipped you ugly comforts. The breakfast is of a high standard. At the reception, if there are many customers, there is to wait a little. A great choice for those who want to stay in the city center and enjoy the services that offers an international chain like Melia.

Centrally located near the Brandenburg Gate and the museum Island. A few metres away is the Friedrichstrasse Metro stop.

Excellent hotel in Berlin. The rooms are lovely and it is in a great location. Walking distance to most major sites and also right beside the train station. The staff were very friendly. Would definitely recommend.

As a guest I appreciated the good food. The premises of the event acceptable. Mobile phone reception in the building is not given with the two biggest providers or at best miserable.

Awesome hotel located right in the middle of Berlin, walking distance to all the main sights. Rooms are really nice and large, the bed we had was HUGE! Very clean and we'll presented. Breakfast was great too with a lot of choice.

Very nice hotel The good thing is mainly that they speak Spanish at the reception, which can give you many indications. The building in which the hotel is located, has restaurants in the lower part and you can have a drink. It is located in the center so you can go to the main places of interest walking and the rooms are OK.

Good Central Hotel. The level area was unfortunately just renovated during my stay and I was not advised.
There is an underground car park, but it has very few places and is always full.

The stay at the Melia Hotel in Berlin was very pleasing to me and my partner. We were greeted cordially and treated very courteously. The food and drinks in the Levellounge leave nothing to be desired for the culinary delight. Accordingly, we spent a relaxed evening, which caused the work stress of the week to fall with increasing per mille content from us.
Also the breakfast offered a wonderful selection of hearty and sweet, cold and hot dishes.
Shortly before the check-out, my life-time partner still briefly wanted to meet her biological needs. Unfortunately, we both did not know that the small toilet is not made for the big business. Now we had the dilemma and stood in front of the leftovers of the digested dinner in the porcelain bowl. The delicious dishes from the Levellounge reminded us now no more.
But what now? Unfortunately, the small toilet lacked the rinse. The water from the existing rooster unfortunately came out with little pressure, so that the production of my life-stage companion, which she squeezed out of her extended back, was only stirred up, but was not washed away.
This incident unfortunately gives the stay a pale aftertaste. Maybe in the future you could put a sign on the little toilet to prevent such incidents?

The view from some rooms is probably magnificent. I explicitly wanted a quiet room in the courtyard… like it quiet — and that's it then too.
Very centrally located and the Friedrichstraße (s — and U-Bahn) just in front of the nose — Tears Palace, Friedrichstadtpalast, Admiral Palace and Museum Island included.
Have not tried it… but have told me by a friendly gourmet that the tapas bar/hotel restaurant can be seen quite.
WLAN at high speed at 500MB per day (? ) is limited. But another hour costs €1… that's OK… because you're not surfing in Berlin. Could possibly be interesting for some.

Fantastic hotel, very nice, well decorated and cozy rooms with comfy beds and perhaps the best shower I've ever used in my life. Staff are very friendly and speak good English whilst being happy to recommend places to go and to fulfill any needs you may have. Checking in and out was seamless and the rooms were very well cleaned. Would highly recommend and will be returning when we next travel to berlin.

Just finished two nights at this amazing and spotless hotel! Honestly this is one of the nicest hotels that I have stayed in by far and their attention to detail is amazing. It was our anniversary so got given free champagne in our room and an upgrade. All the staff go the extra mile, for example we asked for the open champagne to be left by room service and came back to find they had refilled our ice bucket to make it cold again! The hotel is in a brilliant location, within walking distance of all the attractions. We are desperate to go back and booking this hotel was the best decision! The rooms are spotlessly clean and the bed was the biggest we have ever slept in! 5* quality! Thank you for an amazing stay!

We ordered the 3 person sampler, and it was very good. Well worth the price. I enjoyed every piece of it. The service was sometimes slow but they were pleasant and helpful. Highly recommend.

Fantastic location to visit Berlin, or catch a train for any part. Very good area to eat, or watch a show, at 200 meters from the museum Island, and a step away from the best music and book store in which you have ever been, great attention on the part of the employees, the choice of hotel could not be better for this holiday trip.

It's very central. Sow all the transport stations. The staff were very friendly and helpful. From the hotel you can get to know all the centre of Berlin walking. I recommend 100%.

Good value for money Staff very helpful clean. The central station is useful stop FRIEDRICHSTRASSD 2 minutes.

We have visited the restaurant, café Madrid once again. Fantastic food, which is accompanied by an indescribably great service. Without words, the best and finest, if you want to eat tastefully and upscale. Recommended and we keep coming back.

The hotel is in a great location. A point deduction for the climbing showers. I didn't want to break my neck in a hotel in the morning. Breakfast delicious, good freshly prepared omelettes, but upscale expensive.

I can't think of any hotel in Berlin better located by the river, one of the best shopping streets, and one of the main Metro and train stations!
The Esquisita service from the check in to the exit… In addition, they make you feel at home with many Spanish details.
The hotel is very well preserved in all the facilities.
Breakfast is highly recommended, with a Primerisima quality buffet.

Don't choose the room to courtyard, no CP signal… none?! can't log on free Wi-Fi by my HTC 10, but why it works if I choose the paid one… customers will think u r crazy if u charge room Wi-Fi in my place, Thailand, Japan Taiwan, even mainland China.

Stayed here for a few days over the summer. Joined the Melia Club whilst there as they've places all over and plan on visiting the Spanish one soon so makes sense — also got a complimentary bottle of champers as was my birthday! Nice staff, attentive & happy to speak English. Bar is expensive but that's I suppose to expected. Roof terrace disappointly was closed during my stay, which is a pity as it's stated to have a great view of the city at night for photos. Generally, pretty good and security is very good too — no access to any floor without a card for the room to be swiped in the lift, so you're safe.

Very nice room (standard double) with ample space. Clean and well maintained. Very extensive breakfast. The hotel is in a great location. Subway, S-Bahn and restaurants in the immediate vicinity.

Top bedding, soundproofing of the ideal rooms. Breakfast gargantuan. It was a very nice place to stay. Tram Station ahead. I went there, I came back, I will go back.

I was there for an event from morning till night. We had a great hall with enough space for more than enough people (we were 400) and great food and drinks. The entrance hall wasn't really big enough for us all during the brakes or when they offered lunch which caused some confusion. All in all it was really good though.

Excellent location for exploring the centre of Berlin (Museum Island, Unter den Linden, Brandenburg Gate, all within 1 km). Booking in advance I paid a ridiculous price for this hotel category. It was a very good hotel and the staff were very friendly. Small connectivity problems with Wi-Fi, very good and varied breakfast.

Our expectations were completely blown away since check-in. The cordiality of the employees, the "little" extras they gave us… they just kept surprising us at every turn! Worth mentioning also are the great location (one of the prettiest parts of Berlin close to great restaurants and stores), the breakfast (astonishing quality), and the Level Lounge is just an incredible concept that we can't resist. The presidential suite is impressive in both design and function. They actually made me think "so this is how royalty must feel", and since visiting the Meliá Madrid and now the Meliá Berlin they have completely won our loyalty as guests.

A beautiful hotel, very clean, ideally placed. Luxurious comfort, very comfortable bedding, professional welcome. A staff always at your disposal. And the breakfast buffet… what to say… even for a Frenchman who easily criticizes me foreign food I was filled. Fresh cheese with fried fried eggs, salmon with fresh bread, pretzels, cereals, fruit juices… it was the feet!
If you hesitate, go ahead! You don't regret it!

I had breakfast there with a couple of friends (they stayed at the hotel so I can't review the room) and it was one of the best buffets I've ever seen. A huge variety. Definitely a 5 stars breakfast.

Spend 3 night's here, hotel is very clean, staff are friendly, speak English and are helpful. The hotel is in a very good location for shopping and getting around Berlin. Would definitely recommend and stay here again.

In addition to the tapas bar and restaurant there in the hotel now also right of reception an Ibiza lounge. Here runs the corresponding House music and also drinks are served, are usually enjoyed by Ibiza on the beach. Although the evening was quite warm, no real Ibiza may arise but feeling. Probably, this is on the closed front to the street and the missing sea and vision.

Staff was extremely polite and professional. The "Level" type booking is definitely worth the extra fees. The rooms were very clean, cleanest I have seen in any hotel. The location is central and within walking distance to most things I wanted to explore (old East Berlin). I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Berlin.

When S-line fixing switch shuffle bus that was just beginning to find then live really is very convenient, away from the Museum for a walk.

Top Hotel in top location. One of my favorite hotels in Berlin.
The location is super, from my point of view. Directly in the Frederick Street with easy access to bus and S-Bahn. You can do a lot of walking, but also fast in other places by public transport.
A parking garage is also available.
The staff was super friendly and the rooms were top right.
A tip is the tapas bar. Here we were served very tasty (and specific) tapas…

Located just behind the Museum Island in a truly beautiful and convenient location allows you to reach any point of Berlin via the metro. The rooms are very clean and nicely decorated, they also have the bidet, no small feat for a hotel outside Italy. Rooms are cleaned daily and towels are always changed. From returning.

Very good hotel, very well located in Berlin. The major attractions of Berlin are really close. The rooms are spacious and the bed comfortable. The breakfast is varied. The bar of the hotel is very good cocktails and the 2 bartenders great service.

The location is excellent, very close to all points of interest. The staff friendly and of great help that some of the employees speak Spanish. What you don't understand that a hotel of this category are to pay 4, 95 € a day for Wi-Fi. And the breakfasts monotonous … they should put more variety of sweet pastries. I recommend it despite these things you can troubleshoot.

I was on the bridge May in this hotel. If you go to the Tegel airport, taxi are less than 20€, and in 15 minutes, so that is a good option if you have luggage and don't want to waste a lot of time. It is located very central, next to the river, 10 minutes walk to the Brandenburg Gate and also close to the museum island, TV tower, etc, if you want to not need to take a bus to see the most important sites of the city. The normal room that is in the that I was there, it is very cozy, the bed excellent, large and with a double pillow, television, and bathroom quite spacious. The varied breakfast in the first floor. The staff of the hotel as every time I go to this chain, very attentive to everything that I comment. The only downside is that for the free Wi-Fi you have to ask for a paper at the reception that lasts 50 MG, let's say in an hour what you consume and you have to get off again, or ask for two papers. I did a survey and I discuss this topic, and they told me they can't put another system because they had signed an agreement with a company, but it is unacceptable in a hotel of this category. The manager is very friendly we sack the tickets. A good hotel to stay in Berlin.

This is a very nice hotel in an excellent location. The rooms were of reasonable size and always clean. The employees are very friendly and always willing to assist. The hotel has an excellent restaurant and on the ground floor there is the famous tapas bar where you can enjoy a drink accompanied by some live music. The train, subway, metro and bus stations are located 1 minute walk away which is very convenient. The German public transit is exceptional and always on time. The wife and I bought a weekly public transit ticket and used it for the entire duration of our stay in Berlin. There is absolutely no need to get a taxi though the hotel can always book one for you if you require one. There are plenty of authentic German cuisine restaurants close to the hotel (right on the banks of the river). I only have one complaint which for me is quite serious though for someone else might sound trivial. The hotel Wi-Fi situation… First of all it is not free. It's around 5 Euros a day (8 to 9 US dollars). However this is not my main problem. I understand that you can't always get free things in every hotel. My concern is with the Wi-Fi service as a whole. The hotel Wi-Fi is offered from T-Mobile and it surely isn't designed for the needs of the modern traveller. It would have been fine if we only had a laptop computer that would never leave the room. What Melia fails to understand is that these days people travel with smartphones and tablets that they take OUTSIDE the hotel.

Recently (from 4 to 9 April) we have been in this hotel. We want to congratulate, by this means, the professionalism and effectiveness of Happiness Romero, who helped us to resolve the loss of a suitcase that we missed at the airport. Their effective management, talking with the police from the airport, made the recuperaramos. Was extremely friendly and nice. We also want to mention the team of receptionists and waiters spaniards, especially the canaries. Thanks to all of you, the next time you go out alk overseas, we will look for a hotel Melia. We stayed here for 4 nights during the Ifa and were in love with the service, the buffet breakfast and the hotels location. On the side of the river you get a great view from Cafe madrid.

Had a good time, Melia was good. Rooms ok internet very expensive 9 Eur a day. TV channels were too paid. We have all this free in Indian Hotels. Food just one type. Hell for vegetarians. They should think of more veg options. Berlin is good. Airport is quite small though.

We were staying in this hotel from September 25 to October 1, … a part of a wonderful city, made all the more easy to have stayed in this hotel. From the room we had-the 444 — breakfast, super hearty, and above all, his ubicacación, wonderful, and the work of all the people of the hotel, making every effort in providing us with our stay, and many of them speak Spanish. A delight, the city, (despite the rain) and the hotel… we will be Back, my husband and I. And of course, at this hotel, which we have recommended you to all our friends,

Located in the food & Drink is repeated for the entertainment of the staff interrupted (however, I do have this experience, especially in Berlin&perimeter more often; possibly a "cultural Problem"), to three dishes per person to the first is equal to the empty clearing. This happens repeatedly and is bothering you all the time in the space of 5 minutes and without any need for (Local half empty and still had 3 hours! ). However, it takes getränkenachschub forever.
