Great hotel with friendly staff, but unfortunately very unprofessional management. For the second time, despite booking, no room was available; I was denied written confirmation of this and denied a face-to-face interview. No apology in the aftermath. And this as a regular guest with more than 30 overnight stays. A very disappointing experience.

One of these famous jewels, whose existence initiates keep to themselves in order to enjoy in peace and undisturbed. Owner-run, with an indescribable wealth of experience and even more heart, this boutique hotel offers in absolute prime location something that seemed lost: personal approach, quality and so much more. I have been to some hotels, I do not find chains bad per se, I also know the risk of a mishandling at smaller hotels and therefore say with conviction: it is worth it, even if there is currently no offer. If there is one, you must book here. Unless impersonal and semi-professional are on the wish list. Here the guest is king, the service above measure good and professional. The location directly at the English Garden is the icing on the cake.

Family atmosphere, comfortable rooms, good quality bathroom products, well located compared to the metro in a nice neighborhood. Extra breakfast. This is a hotel with all different rooms where you feel welcomed. Effective staff.

This hotel is excellent value for money. We booked a double room for 3 nights and were very happy with cleanliness, space and decor. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The location is quiet, across the road from a small park but is only a few metres from restaurants, cafes and shops. Also a great location from which to explore the English Garden and a 5 minute subway ride from Marianplatz.

The room was lovely, as was the service. Close to the station and many services. Great price too. I'd highly recommend staying here.

I travel relatively much in hotels and can't quite understand where 4 stars come from. My room had a very penetrating smell from the drain, but I don't resent that to the hotel, because the staff is very friendly and outsourced me directly to another and nicer room. The breakfast is really cool. The décor is rather rustic, but you can also like it. For my taste, however, I take off 2 stars, as it is really unpleasant in summer and the rooms are not air-conditioned either. The second star, as the rooms in the same category fluctuate really much. You can be lucky or unlucky.

Very nice, are here for the semester meeting. Rooms cosy and at the bar there is Sky's Bundesliga and a sympathetic bartender.
What more could you want?

Very convenient location right off of Leopoldstraße. Close to many great restaurants and cafes, and a healthy walk to the English Gardens and the Old Town. You hear none of the traffic from Leopoldstraße, which is great. Plus, the English Garden is practically across the street from the hotel. I loved that I was able to walk through there in the morning after having breakfast. The prices are decent — for a total of 6 days I spent roughly $1, 000. I would recommend it for any stay in Munich, and when I go back, I plan on staying there again.

Whilst the hotel is pleasant and well located in the business district the weather was incredibly hot when I stayed and the hotel was unbearably warm both in the room and in the breakfast area. The room also had a smell of drains I assume due to there being a shower in the room.

Cosy and nice, close to the Munchener Freiheit. Old and beautiful furniture. Great breakfast.
