Great location for visiting Carcassonne. Short walk to the city. Ample parking on site.
Outdoor pool & lots of garden seating. Room clean & good shower.
Unfortunately our garden room smelt damp & our clothing was damp the next morning. Room extremely cluttered & difficult to use. Like staying at your Grandma’s!
Plenty of choice at breakfast but lacked something. Beware the coffee unless you like Turkish strong coffee.
Club music from bar next door kept us awake until after 1am.
We had booked for 2 nights but left after the first night.
We stayed here for 4 nights as a last minute 'escape from covid' after having three trips cancelled this year. It's a beautiful little place, rustic but spotless, about 7 minutes' walk in a straight line to the old cité of Carcassonne. The pool is smallish but adequate and very welcome on a hot windy afternoon. Sun beds in varying styles are aplenty, and can be dragged into the garden surrounding the buildings. Our room was 'Cabardes', one of two 'semi-detached' rooms in an annexe building across the garden, but still only 30 seconds' walk to the pool. They don't have much of a view, but do have their own private sunny decks at the back, accessed through full sliding patio doors. Small bathroom, but very good shower. Whilst you are eating your brrakfast each day, your room is 'secretly' cleaned and tidied without you ever meeting the cleaning lady.
Breakfast itself was lovely. Continental style (nothing warm), but lots of variety and some items seemed homemade.
Access to the property is through an electric gate. You will get the key to it with your room key. There is no main reception. Just ring the doorbell and Dany will answer. The main building is her own private living quarters. She is a friendly host, with fairly good English, and very unobtrusive. We felt sorry that she has had so many cancellations this year. If you get the chance to visit Carcassonne, this is an excellent place to stay.

We had a fantastic 5 days in this lovely small property right outside the ancient Cité of Carcassonne. The owner is lovely and gave us some excellent recommendations for excursions and restaurants. The room was a nice size with a patio and a swimming pool on the property (little cold in October mind you… but still nice! ). The location is perfect — just a 200m flat walk from the entrance to the ancient town, where there are many shops, attractions and excellent restaurants. We hired a car and were able to find the property easily (1 hour from Toulouse airport), then use it as a base to explore the region — there are so many places to explore around here! In particular the Cathar chateaus to the North and South and the incredible cave: "Gouffre Géant de Cabrespine".
