We had a lovely meal there tonight. Food was great, really cosy atmosphere and staff were really friendly. Would definitely recommend!

Fabulous meal, so tasty and would highly recommend!

Been three times since September and have never been disappointed in the friendliness and the fresh home cooked food.
Definitely recommend the steak and ale pie, and anything Thai.
Short staffed each visit, but they are so attentive and make it work.
Look forward to visiting again next time we’re back in the area.

Popped in for Lunch, definitely wasn’t disappointed. Tempura Prawns and Scampi cooked to perfection, Salmon and Burger also cooked beautifully. Much improved since our last visit. Good value. Would recommend and will be back!

Great friendly service and staff great food as normal.

Booked a table for lunch Wednesday. Very friendly lady greeted and looked after us. My whitebait starter was superbly seasoned and cooked perfectly. The sirloins we had were again superb wonderful taste and cooked as requested. All round great lunchtime experience. Thankyou.

Stayed in the Motorhome park not in the hotel. Absolutely charming young lady working in reception and the bar. Great stopover for mohos!

Great service and great food.

Lovely setting, the hotel is a little dated, however the room was clean and returned good value for money. The place is staffed by hardworking, lovely people, just not ENOUGH of them.

Looks so good on the website photos but the main house (bar & restaurant) are very antiquated. The hotel rooms are all in the annexe. These rooms, whilst very clean, are 70s decor and needing modernised. Generally guests don't live in homes that are so old fashioned so it's always disappointing to come away and pay money for this standard of accommodation.

What a find! Lovely location great place to stay with a dog, large pretty grounds. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Excellent value for money and the breakfast was superb. Would not hesitate to stay here again.

This hotel is sadly underestimated. The staff are so nice and helpful and our accommodation is spotlessly clean, comfortable and warm. The food is outstanding and well priced with great helpings. Our short break has been memorable and we will definitely be back. The local township should make it a weekend gathering port. Thanks again for a brilliant break. John and Isobel.

Lovely hotel had a nice meal here during Xmas week, will be going back in summer for a weekend break with wife.

We stayed here for one night but it was just lovely. Very friendly & helpful staff helped us out when we found ourselves stranded in the area 7pm at night with a child & a dog. Nice comfortable rooms (which are different for dog owners so dogs don't disturb non doggy people). Lovely breakfast & just beautiful grounds & surroundings. I would love to go back.

Stayed over the Hallowe'en weekend and had the best time ever. Chloe is a star and looked after us exceptionally well. Lovely location, super food and amenities and well placed for exploring this magnificent area. Clean rooms and clean hotel throughout. Told all our pals about this hidden gem and we'll be back in December. Even the locals are friendly… Many thanks.

We spent a week at the Clonyard Chalet in the hotel grounds and ate in the hotel bar on two different evenings during the week. Have to say, all four in our party were impressed with both the service/attention of staff, and the quality of food served on both occasions. They really do care about their customers, even when, as in our first visit, they were obviously very busy with many just in the bar for drinks. Good food, friendly staff AND a good range of malt whiskies, we have to recommend this as an alternative to the Kippford pubs. Well done the Clonyard Hotel.

Didn't stay at the Clonyard but visited for an evening meal. The bar was busy but was served very quickly. Found a nice table in the conservatory overlooking a patio area. Everything was nice and clean, well decorated and with a few large plants giving some privacy to each table. We had starters of locally caught Scallops with a salad and dressing. Then a Ceaser Salad for my gf and a Kashmiri Chicken Curry. We both enjoyed our meals immensely. Both meals were made with fresh ingredients and were a good size. It was a nice surprise to find a chef who takes pride in their food. NO microwaved, deep fried frozen food here. My advice is to stay away from the pub restaurants in Kippford and try the Clonyard. Nice staff too.
