It was an awesome hotel. Central to everything!

Lovely staff all through the hotel.

Fantastic location, and great hotel as well. The service was impeccable, and I could not ask for more. The room was clean and quiet. I stayed in room 629 which had 2 small outdoor areas which opened up to the room and bathroom. A late night wine was had, and most enjoyable in the Paris night.

Really loved our stay here while in Paris. This hotel is directly across from the Tuilleries Gardens and the Louvre. Hotel was clean and the room cozy. Bed could’ve been a little bigger though. Buffet was decent for the price but not terrific. Would give 5 stars but the gentleman running the buffet barked at my wife for sitting too far out on the patio. There were about 30 tables outside. 4 were being used, the rest open. She wanted to sit further out and get some sun. He barked at her and told her those tables were unavailable, even though a family of 4 were sitting at one of them. Shame on you sir, for 550€/night we should be able to sit wherever we wish. It was our honeymoon too! Good thing I was getting my plate inside or we would have exchanged some words.

It was the most horrible hours spent in the hotel, the staff are terrible, think only about their preferences.

Convenient location — but right smack in the center of tourist groups. Rooms need renovation and lobby needs upgrade. Lovely outdoor garden. Breakfast buffet has standard food selection and gets boring after a few days. Front desk and dining room staff need training in customer service. Near high — end shopping, museums and public transportation.

The hotel is across the street from the Louvre! Easy walk to a lot of places. I didn't rate the welcome because we arrived as part of a large group, which is always difficult for everyone. We liked our room, but several of the electric plugs did not work, and a repair person was not able to fix that. The staff was friendly and helpful, and our room was very clean. We enjoyed beautiful two-story windows that opened onto one of two squares inside the hotel property. Our king bed was comfy and the room had two bathrooms. One upstairs in the sitting room, and the other downstairs in the bedroom. The breakfast buffet was good, and included a cappuccino machine. If you ask for 'American coffee', they will bring it. The concierge was really helpful!

I stayed at this hotel twice. Both times was excellent service, clean and big room, maid service impeccable. Staff is very professional and welcoming. It has fantastic swimming pool. Location is the best, cafe Angelina is just steps away if you want to taste the best hot chocolate in Paris. Museums Louvre is close by as well as many other attractions.

The location is great, as it is located right next to the Louvre and other Sights. The staff is very nice and the service is great, as well as the food that can be delivered to your room. Overall a great place if you are planning to stay in Paris over night.

One evening we ate at the hotel restaurant. We found the food ordinary at best, the menu was uninspired. I was particularly galled when the bill came and I was charged 22 euros for a gin & tonic. The concierge was extremely helpful and remembered us from prior visits which was a nice touch. We've stayed at the hotel 6 times and intend to return next year. Thank you for providing us a wonderful stay in Paris.

Every staff member were welcoming and helpful! Our room was beautiful and very clean. The location is the best! When our flight got canceled the hotel staff was so accommodating in finding a room for us for the extra night and it was just as beautiful as the first one! Thank you so much for such a beautiful stay!

I don't know any other hotels being the first visit my impression was good.

The Saint James offers a market menu at 30 euros which proves to be very pleasant and plentiful.
You will also have the opportunity to taste the chef's proposal on Thursday.
As for the setting, the Saint James offers a garden to eat in which you enjoy leaving Paris during a meal.
In conclusion, the value for money is excellent and the extraordinary framework.

Well what shall I say. The price of the hotel was 250 Euro per night. Rated as a 4 star hotel. The location of the hotel is amazing but the hotel itself is far to expensive. The room was not ready at 4 in the afternoon. The rooms are very old. Double beds have 2 matrasses. The breakfast is ok. Really not worth the price. Find a boutique hotel that has better prices and higher standards.

The staff was very friendly and helpful.! For the rooms I can not noted as we were not in the hotel part but in the apartment part that is suitable for families. Besides the apartment side is old. But very large area well equipped with living room 2 bedrooms including one with integrated bathroom, a kitchen with microwave and washing machine if you want to wash your own linen. A suitable pool with Spa but beware the new are not accepted by security reason so for us this was a bit of a hassle at this level there.

Hotel very well situated. Careful with the deposit of 200€. I don't have returned. I do not recommend dinner in the hotel expensive and poorly attended. We had half pension.

Short stay, it seems to me in March 2016. Remarkably well placed. The bar is quiet and in good tone. Internet prices very good for the level of service, and for the neighborhood. The access to the SPA is appreciable. But we are already in a range of establishments that caters to a clientele accustomed to high-level international standards, and the degree of satisfaction will therefore depend on the final price obtained and the habits of each… It is conceivable to be satisfied at 5/5. The most difficult could be reduced to 4/5… Note below, unless an unfortunate coincidence, would seem to me to be showing bad faith. NB: I have not tested the restaurant.

The treatment was perfect 5 ⭐ ️. I put 3 in the global because the infrastructure is poorly adapted. Changing room too small compared to the number of customers. You have to queue for the one and only shower. I think all the hotel guests have access to it which removes the exclusive side. The massage rooms are pretty poorly soundproofed. I would go back anyway for the quality of care.

Comfortable rooms and a great location. The reason I am leaving this 5 star review, however was the concierge. He was very helpful and friendly. He recommended us some great restaurants and helpfully managed to get a fan for me when I asked.

Great Location in front of the Metro stop Laccoglienza at reception very mediocre for the rest all OK we will return.

We have a seminar on site with oenology courses and meals in the evening. The dishes were top but a little cold. The hotel looks very good and offers relaxation treatments. Unfortunately I could not stay on site but the place is very beautiful and very well placed. The hotel is a few steps from the Place de la Concorde.

Lovely stay but air conditioning was very hot and couldn’t turn it down. Also, not sure why you don’t have china cups for tea/coffee! Great location and mostly very helpful staff. Thank you for speaking English as my French is very ordinary!

Everything about our stay was perfect. I booked our room at the Saint James Albany for my best friend’s birthday trip to Paris. The location was close to everything we wanted to see, and the staff was incredibly friendly, helpful and very patient as I practiced speaking the French I have been studying. The breakfast was delicious and the room was immaculate. This was our first trip to Paris, and we can’t wait to come back and stay at the Saint James Albany Hotel and Spa again.

We spent around 3:30 for tea and chatting a little. Fast and pleasant Service. We had to do three different and competent servers.
Mention + + +: the part reserved for the restaurant: The bar The terrace is large and nice. I will test the terrace in summer.
A review: If the customer orders cupcakes, the towels are not too much.
Please do not ask the customer to pay five minutes after serving, such as in a Pub or in a lambda bar where they are afraid that the customer will leave without paying. This is not worthy of a 4 star.
And when the cups are empty, the least of it is to ask if the customer needs anything else, even if he has already paid.
A little refreshment of the places will do no harm.
And if a Christmas ball falls from the tree, the first employee who passes must pick it up and not miss it, as if nothing was wrong.

Not cleaned the room for 2 days in a row even when I requested on two occasions

The room was nice, spacious and very clean. The concierges were wonderful. I wish I had know the hotel was not owned by Christians — I was looking forward to seeing it decorated for Christmas.

Nice location steps from Vendome and Louvre, though to get to hotel you have to walk through cheap souvenir stores and homeless people. Seems like the last renovation and cleaning in this hotel happened when Haussmann was still alive. Rooms are filthy: very unmaintained, dirty carpet, broken tiles on the floor, door in the shower was not closing properly, so there was always flood around, shower had mold on the shower handle. Staff is completely unable to answer any question. It tool them more than an hour to bring toothbrushes to the room. The original room had almost no windows. Had to change rooms: one was smelling like a public toilet, another like an ashtray. We were very tempted by the photos, kind of it was imaginable it is not a fancy design perfect hotel, but the reality is that anything about this hotel is acceptable. For almost 300$ per night for superior room this is a torture and waste of money.

We got a pretty small room with neighbours we could hear too well. Think we got the "kids room" since we choose split beds, which kinda put down the experience. Saw some of the other rooms were way better. Otherwise it was a great hotel.

Reception was good to me, as I did not like the first room I was offered, I then went to room 431 which was fine. I don't particularly like your telephone-douche for showering, and your bathtub is a little too steep in parts. But those are minor complaints. The 2 breakfasts I had were just fine and overall the stay was very nice, the room comfortable, the service requested (1 wake up call) was perfect, and your location, as always, great. Very well received although I waited a bit, I found the room small, low ceiling and poorly soundproofed with the outside (123). I asked twice for a ironing board and I never got it. Otherwise the hotel in itself is very nice, very well place and the staff very nice failing to be very efficient. I hesitate to go back there. We'il see!

Beautiful place, very clean, has a special charm! The restaurant has very good food, it’s not only a feast eating there, they make you feel royal, the chef comes at the end of dinner to meet everyone, tells you about the food. The garden it’s also amazing! The terrace is beautiful! The service is great! I don’t know what to complement first! I can say it’s my favourite hotel in Paris and not only. Great location, good breakfast, very professional staff and good. But the scandalous room. Carpets ruined, bathroom with broken tiles, lack of media to hang clothes, air conditioning that did not work, very bad accessibility.

Your front office staff is good: kind, friendly and respectful. Beds are comfortable. Breakfast is delicious. Location is good. The only negative experience for us was: On our last day at the hotel (7 Oct. 2017, Saturday) when we came back to our room in the evening, my slippers were gone. It was my pair of wool slippers that I bought from Zara Home. Since they disappeared after the room was cleaned, we suspected that the housekeeping man/woman who cleaned our room on that day stole them. Your housekeeping staff need training in terms of honesty. Destination coup de coeur in Paris, the most significant indoor swimming pool rue de Rivoli. The least, recurring air conditioning problems. Impeccable Service.

I had kept the memory of a Parisian palace during a distant stay. Either I had embellished my memory, or the St James fell very low in the bottom of the 4 *. Correct room but maintenance and housekeeping below the standard. Just limited Service to the bar and concierge intern. No thanks and especially not to soon.

This hotel is in a very good position with helpful staff. The rooms we stayed were well worn and needed refurbishment. The breakfast were very good, however we had a bad experience with a meal in the restaurant. The manager offered a full discount on the meal.

Excellent service. Good room. Quiet spot down the block from the Louvre and right across the street from the metro.

I expected better from a 4 star restaurant… I would have liked a menu that stimulates my taste buds among other things, I had to fall back on dishes that were all good but it was not my goal. I had come for the menu…

The stay was nice. We liked the family room set up with two rooms, two bathrooms, and a lounging area. We were disappointed that the Central Air Conditioning was not working. It required us to leave the windows open to cool the room along with the portable air conditioners. Since, our room was overlooking the courtyard, we were exposed to constant cigarette and cigar smoke in our room, which was annoying for a family of non-smokers.

From the welcome to our departure the staff was helpful, friendly and professional. The family room was spacious and very comfortable for our family of four (with teen daughters). The maid service was excellent — supplies always refreshed. Any request (for an iron etc. ) was done in a timely fashion. The concierge was exceptional! We would stay here again and will recommend to family and friends when they visit Paris. Great location — close to major attractions and historic sites. Thank you for making our stay in Paris a memorable one.

Not great first impressions. Only picked this hotel based on location (which is great) and pool. Room took extra 40min to be ready (3.40pm). Staff barely helpful. No towels in pool room and was just told sorry none left. Staff sit outside pool in spa room so no one supervising it. It's dim inside and only reason no one drowns is because it's only 3m wide.

I'm sorry for writing out such a bad review, but I couldn't enjoy my stay at all! If I can call it a stay. I arrived with my boyfriend, who doesn't speak a word french, at 12 since we booked and paid for early check-in. The lady at the counter told me the room is not ready, we should return at 3pm, even after I showed her the confirmation. She was quite unfriendly and impatient, since I had to translate her french for my boyfriend in english. So, we left and returned at 3pm. But we had a really bad surprise. Even though I had booked a suite with view over the Louvre we got one facing the courtyard. The room was old and had multiple stains on the floor and on the sheets. We were promised a nice, newly renovated bathroom but that was definitely not the case as you can see in the pictures. We were very disappointed and didn't want to stay any longer so we went to downstairs to the concierge to say we want to check out, not even staying the night. It was another lady, who saw that we hadn't slept for the night and she only commented: 'Oh, you' re already leaving? You don't want to stay the night? ' We said, no the room is dirty, we received the wrong one, wrong view, old and not pleasant at all. She didn't think of suggesting us a change in rooms or giving us the one we booked! I'm glad we left! The only plus was the super nice guy, who was responsible for handing out umbrellas!

The Saturday Brunch € 31 at the restaurant "Le 202 Rivoli" of the hotel is very good value quality / price. The staff is very friendly and helpful. For example: failing wipes rinse fingers have brought us a real rinsing fingers with lemon water.
When buffets, they are very busy and will, which is not often the case for brunch in Paris.

The room given faced the inner, silent, on two floors and very spacious. The hotel is clean and quite new, friendly and efficient.

Brunch: Nice, very nice buffet but the service could be improved. The quality of hot drinks, including tea is really disappointing for a place of this standard.

We stayed at Saint James Albany for three days in March. Taxi from the airport was 50 € flat rate. The check in process was fast and we got room 633. The room seemed a bit dated upon entering the room but at the same time it also has a pretty cool layout as they have kept some of the old wooden pillars and this was actually the center of the room! It might be a pretty fancy feature to look out but also dangerous at night as it was easy to walk right into it in the dark. The room had a large king size bed that was way too hard for me, lots of wardrobe space, a small safe, no ironing board or iron, a desk and a small fridge. The small fridge was stocked up quite well but when a Coke costs 6.5€ it is much better to buy it somewhere else. The room was a bit dark and I would have preferred if there was more lighting – even if there were two windows in the room with a view to a courtyard. A small flatscreen TV was mounted on the wooden pillars and were facing the bed. Wifi was included and worked according to my expectations. The toilet was in a separate small room – again with some of the wooden pillars. Due to this there was only a tiny sink in the corner which was not very easy to use. The bathroom on the other hand was large, had two sinks and a large shower area. We got two robes and slippers and the towels were on a heating rack. There was a bad smell coming from the bathroom and maybe that is why housekeeping placed a towel over the shower drain.

The rooms are nice and the staff friendly. Over all a good experience. The only+biggest minus about this place is the bar. The bar staff seriously need some training in wine and drinks, first of all the uses lime for a Hendricks Gin and tonic and then they have som issues keeping track of the wine list.

Very unprofessional staff. They did not picked my my laundry, ignoring the calls, told someone is sent to my room and nobody shows up. You are better off staying at a hostel. Definitely not worth the money.

I travel all over Europe for work so I understand that the standard of European hotels is different to that in the USA and the charm and beauty of the city or country ames up for the little quirks that come with EU lodging. HOWEVER, nothing could persuade me to leave a good review of this hotel. While the concierge and staff were lovely the air conditioning in my room was horrid. They said it was working and on, but it was over 30 degrees in my room. I did have two windows that I could open but as my room overlooked a narrow street, I could not get any fresh air from the outside only noise and cigarette smoke. I called ahead and asked if the Wi-Fi worked in the rooms and was told it did but my room had no Wi-Fi and for 8 hours of the first day it was down in the whole hotel which made my working trip to Paris miserable. I was so sorry I booked a night at this hotel and hate to leave a bad review, but if you needed room Wi-Fi and AC if you are traveling in the summer months, (or even a breeze from the outside) I would say NOT to book this hotel. A friend was staying at the hotel the same night and she was able to get a breeze from the outside as her room was facing the courtyard and higher up, (I was on the first floor) but her Wi-Fi did not work either.

The spa at the St James Albany: the perfect place for a relaxing 2 luxury break not the tuileries.
The pool is canon. Must arrive before of his care to enjoy it. Also through the hamman to eliminate toxins.
The treatment rooms are very large and then we can enjoy a break tea and fruit.

Perfect location, but still not worth it with respect to standard if you pay full price. Nice spa lounge and helpful staff. Edit: hotel charged us with goods from minibar that we had not taken after we had checked out. Complaint was sent but not followed up by concierge. Too bad they can't be trusted on such a thing, while the money was no big deal, the principle is.

Room too expensive — more than 200 euros per night for a last minute — quality just okay. The value for money is bad. Decent service. Mini bar prices over the decency — 6 euros and 50 mineral water.

The rooms are quite spacious and new.
The breakfast, buffet, very full and you can have breakfast on the terrace which is very nice.
